handyman service
+ -1 moreMy experience with Carlos was terrible. I'm an interior designer in NYC and Greenwich, CT. and had a client in CT that required handyman services..The job entailed installing a mirror, bathroom doorknob and light fixture. Carlos aerrived with an assistant. One positive aspect..They were punctual and that's as good as it got. They did not bring a measuring tape or a level. They need two people to hang a 24"x32" mirror. It was apparently a difficult task. They then attempted to install a brand new Baldwin privacy doorknob. Carlos told me it was the "wrong" doorknob and becasue it locked from the incorrect side. He was wrong! After attempting to return the doorknob my client was told that the doorknob was indeed the correct one. The doorknob was installed quickly the next day by my contractor. My contractor was in disbelief that a handyman could not install a simple doorknob. When Carlos was asked the price to install a bell jar light fixture, he blurted out $400.00. It was installed by an electrician the next day for $125.00. I do not trust that Carlos has been in the business for "40 years". I honestly doubt that he even has a license. My experience with him was awful. He ended up not installing the mirror because he did not have the proper tools...A total disaster!BUYER BEWARE!!

+ 4 moreCarlos was very responsive and worked with me to find the most economical fixes to the issues I was experiencing. He worked around my schedule and was very prompt and tidy. I will definitely use him again if need more work done.
Description of Work: Carlos was an amazing help. I first contacted him when I noticed holes in my roof. He came out that day and alerted me to fact had squirrel issue. Over the next couple of months, he worked with me to arrange trappers etc to get rid of them. He then oversaw repairing the resulting water to bedroom ceiling and preventative measures to stop them from getting back in (copper lined roof). I was so pleased with his work; I hired him to do a bunch of stuff around the house. He and his team did some re grouting; cleaning and fresh installation of crawl space and replaced routing its wooden support wall with cement; built wooden closet system; and re leveled the stone walkway. He also helped supervise some other workers that I had in at the same time.

+ 3 moreCarlos of CEP Services did an AMAZING job remodeling our home. He completely remodeled our first floor and it turned out great. He was great with telling us every step and made sure we knew what was going on. He took down a couple walls and made out living room much bigger and made our dining room big enough to fit our dream dining table. He also renovated the kitchen with new tile and new counter tops. Overall he is by far the most professional and his crew are the best. They made sure not to leave any dirt or tools laying round when they were done at the end of the day which showed that the were aware of our small child. We are already planning on fixing our attic and second floor.
Description of Work: Carlos remodeled our first floor by taking down a couple walls and making the living and dining room the size we wanted. Also laid down new floors and laid down new tile in the kitchen and bathroom. He also installed new countertops in the kitchen and bathroom.
