Cava Wine Cellars llc

I brought Chris and his crew at Cava Wine Cellars in to fix a wine cellar that I had had built a year and a half earlier by another contractor. It turned out that the original contractor did not understand how important it was to properly install a vapor barrier and condensation had been building up inside the ceiling and walls and mold was beginning to form. Chris came up with a plan that allowed us to keep 2,000 bottles in place in racks while he eliminated the mold, fixed the vapor barrier and re-insulated the space...largely by removing the outside walls and working inward. This was no easy feat. It became very apparent to us that you want to hire someone who knows what they're doing when building a wine cellar. Chris can be relied upon as skilled craftsman who will show up on time and do a great job.

When I set about beginning this project, I had no master plan. I had a local carpenter construct the room before I discovered Chris and Cava Wine Cellars. The carpenter did a good job, but building a wine cellar was something new for him and involved a bit of a learning process as to the special requirements of such a room (vapor barriers, cooling units, insulation, etc). Had I known about Cava earlier, the project would have been quicker because they build cellars from start to finish and know all the do's and don'ts. After I had the room constructed, I set about finding racks. Needless to say, I realized after-the fact that had I planned all of it up front, it would have made more sense to design the size/shape of the room to accommodate available racking units. Instead, I searched the internet and found what seemed to be the best of the available suppliers and modules. After ordering, I came upon Chris' company and signed him up to construct, install racks and generally finish off my cellar. Delivery of the racks took longer than expected and he kept in regular contact so he would have time built into his schedule when I was ready to have him start. We were well coordinated as the shipment was finally made and delivered. Chris and crew started work immediately. They were professional, tasteful, neat, prompt and reasonable. I couldn't be happier and I would recommend Cava to anyone.
