Description of Work: Stain outside of log home

Description of Work: We were selling our house and a few rooms needed updating. Once they finished the three rooms we noticed that the rest of the house really looked shabby with the remaining rooms. Graciously they were able to do the whole interior. They made the time to do four other rooms!

Description of Work: Interior house painting - all walls, doors, closets, closet doors, baseboards and ceilings. Cabinets - stained all cabinets to restore the natural finish. Exterior house painting - all doors, trim and hatchway door

Description of Work: We were getting our house ready to sell and needed to have most of the interior walls painted, We have always had Phil and Wendy do our house painting and after they painted the exterior we asked them for an estimate for the interior. Over the years the walls had grown dingy and were pockmarked with dents and nail holes from hanging wall art. Phil inspected the walls carefully and gave us a very reasonable estimate that included both the needed patching and repairs and the painting. (Most painters are just content to paint over dings and call it good).

Description of Work: First of all Phil and Wendy answered our inquiry very quickly and then shortly after meeting with us gave us a written estimate for staining and painting our two story, 2,000 sq. ft. house. This rapid response was a real plus for us since two other painting contractors failed to answer our call or promised to get back to us and never did. Phil and Wendy, set a date to begin and showed up right on time .They power washed the house then scraped and sandewd all exterior woodwork and trim (which was in rough shape.) After r masking all windows they sprayed the house with a first coat of stain.. When we saw the color we'd chosen we decided it was too light. Phil and Wendy made it easy and reasonable for us to change our colors and didn't lose any time in getting the colors switched.They painted the trim on the cellar window frames black and were excellent in helping us choose a separate color to paint the cellar door so it matched the brick foundation. They used three coats of stain on the body of the house( which was dark brown wooden shingle) and two coats of bright white paint on all trim. they helped us pick a great color for the front porch and Wendy was really helpful in getting an additional paint color for the front door and another one for the porch ceiling.
