Description of Work: The owner, Chris, showed up to look over the job at hand. It was quite an extensive renovation project as it was a 1950's cottage 2 houses from a lake that hadn't seen much attention or preventative maintenance in a long while. I purchased the home as it was the location, size and price I was looking for. I had already hired another contractor to replace the roof and windows and feel that person did not do the job expected of him and had no pride in his work. So, I did not use him for any further projects. Back to Chris, who displays in spades, a great deal of pride in workmanship. We reviewed the project together, my budget, expectations and design I envisioned, discussed options available and closed the deal. The house had to basically be gutted to the exterior studs and down to the floor joists. Walls were removed to open the floor plan, kitchen and bath were gutted and shifted to make the most of the small space so it was a full interior/exterior reno. This was a very large project. Chris discussed any options we could change as we moved along. He also had many ideas that I hadn't even thought of that improved the layout and/or saved costs. Neighbors would stop by and tell him what an improvement and would he consider doing work for them. He is neat and maticulous. I have 2 more projects to complete my house and when he is available along with the funds I will have him back to do these also.
