I had a hot water pipe burst in my basement in late January, I had another plumber come out for the repairs and inspection of my boiler and well pump, the other company did a quick repair and a visual inspection of my equipment. Long story short, the plumber had to come back 3 times to fix other items that were damaged due to the hot water spraying directly on the boiler for a week or two. Fast forward to late Feb, I'm now dealing with my homeowners ins company, and a boiler and well pump that are acting erratically, and wasting lots of oil. I called Ralph Warner and Son to see if he could come out and take a look at my equipment, and put together a quote for the items that needed to be replaced. Ralph called back within 1 hour and we discussed my problems. Ralph told me that due to the nature of my situation, I should have a specific mechanical company come out to test the boiler, and a second well pump expert to come analyze its issues. Ralph said he was capable of doing the work for me, but due to the nature of working with homeowners ins companies, that this would be the best solution to my problem. Ralph's overall attitude was to look out for me as a homeowner first, over agreeing to take the job so he could pad his own wallet. This tells me a lot about this company, and how they actually care about the homeowner first. The next thing he did almost left me speechless! Ralph asked me to get a pen and paper, so I did. Ralph then gave me a name for a local mechanical company in town ( his competition of sorts), and then their phone number. Ralph then gave me another name and number in case the first wasn't available. Now we moved onto the well pump, and then did the same, giving me names and numbers to work with. Ralph never made me feel rushed or annoyed, in any way. I thanked him and told him that he's on the top of my list for any other work I need done in the future. As a matter of fact, since I now know that I do need the boiler to be replaced, I'll call Ralph for a quote of his own. Word around town is that he does great work, and from what I've seen, their customer service deserves a tip of the hat too.

We were purchasing a condo in Southington and after the inspection, our report included these items as needing to be fixed. The seller indicated she had used this company previously with good results and called him to make the required repairs. When we did our walk through before signing the papers, these were things we checked and we were very pleased with the work that was done.
Description of Work: Fixed a leak in the pipe leading to the water heater. Replaced a sewer line pipe that was leaking. Fixed a toilet that was "rocking". Replaced a cracked drain in the garage..

My boyfriend and I tried to fix it, but discovered that whoever had originally installed the shower must have lost a screw that came with the fixture, because there was a metal screw in its place. We couldn't get the screw to back all the way out, so we decided it would be best to leave this job to a professional. Figuring I would call Ralph Warner the following Monday (we were doing our amateur best on Saturday morning), we left the cover and several other pieces off. On Sunday afternoon, a rubber gasket moved due to the water pressure behind it and starting shooting water onto the bathroom floor. I turned the water off to the house. I called Ralph first thing Monday morning - VERY early, or you may not reach him. I left a message about 6 a.m. before I left for work. He called back before 8 to set up a time to get to my house. When I explained what we had tried to do, he teased me. He's like a dad or favorite uncle. He was very accommodating, as I could not be home from work until after 12. He came by right after 12 noon, saw what he needed to do, and told me he would need to go to the warehouse to get the new piece. He advised that he had another job as well, so if I didn't see him back by 3, he wouldn't be coming back that day. He was back before 2, fixed the problem in about 5 minutes, and only charged me the base service charge, despite having to make a warehouse run. He said he needed some other supplies there for another job, so no problem.Ralph may come off a little rough around the edges sometimes, but this man knows his business, gets there when he says he will, and always charges a fair and reasonable price. I won't ever use another plumber - except Ralph Junior, who's also in the business.
Description of Work: The toggle between the bath and shower in my guest bath was not working - it would not flip to shower mode. My amateur try at fixing it caused a rubber gasket to spring a leak. I had to turn the water off to the house. When Ralph got out there, all we needed to do was replace the shower toggle part and put everything back together.
