I contacted three companies for an estimate on this job. The other two were very slow to respond and one could not even look at the job for six weeks. CT Complete Chimney responded quickly, came out to look at the job within 2 business days, as promised, and gave a written estimate. When I gave them the job, they got it done promptly and neatly, on the first day that I gave them as available. This was just before Hurricane Sandy hit. I actually never met anyone, the whole business was conducted over the phone. I cannot comment as to whether the price was competitive, because the other two companies were so unresponsive that I never got prices from them. However the fact that CT Complete Chimney did what they said they would do, when they said they would do it, goes a long way in my book. I am very pleased and will use them again for routine cleanings and any further maintenance.

We had received a quote of $5,000 a few years before on this job. Now the chimney was in much worst shape and we needed to do the work. We had seen Nelson's truck in the neighborhood and liked what we say in terms of workmanship, so we asked him for a quote. We expected it to be lower since it was in a low point for the construction industry but not that low. We checked out his references and moved forward. Much to our surprise...they got here when they said they would the did an incredible job, including cleaning up after themselves and stacking usable old bricks so we could use in our house projects. Nelson had an incredibly talented team of masons which worked on the Chimney and he rebuild the column. I have been giving Nelson recommendations via phone and e-mail since he did the work....and I have asked people to please let me know if they have a different experience than we had. I recently got a call back from someone who told me she had spoken with someone who had more recent work done and it confirmed my experience. I have also recommended them to my employer which is a a9th Century Museum and he continues to deliver the most competitive quote and excellent service and workmanship. All workers were courteous and professional.
