My Father's 1936 farmhouse lost 3 hot water radiators that froze during a below 0 degree 2016 Noréaster. David Cordova came right away and capped off the pipes to the radiators and we were able to put the heat back on right away. David later hunted down radiators that closely resemble the original ones and installed them. Then in 2018 we lost another radiator (Dad's fault) and water was cascading out of it. I called Cordova Plumbing and even with all their emergency calls David showed up to once again save the day. Cost for both emergency calls and all the work done, very reasonable. I don't want him to charge me more but I'll venture to say way below, way below what I thought he would charge to get my heat back on.

Both jobs were well done. The first they found and corrected a problem from when the house was built. The second was an emergency and they responded in less than an hour at 6 on a Friday of Christmas weekend and fixed it quickly. Would suggest them to anyone needing a plumber. In the 2 events it was different people and both were great.

The staff at Cordova was excellent. First, their response time on a Saturday was excellent, they were able to find a proper sized water tank to fit the space and despite a tricky install, the service was done efficiently and professionally. The service people were helpful and knowledgeable on the phone, asking questions to make sure they could find the proper tank to bring. The plumber was friendly, professional and efficient. He was also more than willing to answer questions as he worked. I was beyond impressed with the entire operation and would 100% use their service again.
Description of Work: My water heater started leaking and was getting worse so needed to be replaced. Unfortunately, this occurred on a Friday night so had to be dealt with on a Saturday.

We needed hot water in one of our two baths, Cordova Plumbing suggested new faucets and a new element in the 30 year old furnace. The apprentice plumber went through a closet wall, replaced pipes and had me run to Home depot for additional parts he didn't have. 6 hours later we had a new faucet, no hot water, and a leak in the garage below; every time we used the shower. When called back, sent same guy, who placed a bead of caulk around the shower and two hours later wanted an additional $200. He also removed a governor out of the other shower to increase flow: so great it ran too fast for the drain. The leak continued. They came to install the heating element and after three hours said it could not be replaced. We needed a new boiler. We said it was time, he gave prices and I said order it. All pressure in baseboard heat went afoul, three weeks later, finally got Dave on the line and he asked when we want to order the boiler? I lost patience, call our oil company, all installed and pressurized in 26 hours. When called back to come fix the leak, and the shower head, Dave the owner refused stating we were blaming them for our problems. still only have one working shower as their fix broke the fixture. Furthermore, the leak increases when the tub is used so, no tub for 8 months while planning to remodel bathroom.
Description of Work: replace shower faucets and install new boiler element
