Joe the Plumber

Description of Work: Replaced the expansion tank and pressure relief valve on the hot water tank. Went well, except there was a sudden release of water when the tank pipe threads let go and a lot of water got on the floor. Not their fault and he helped clean it up and deducted $25 from the cost of repair. Didn't have one part, but was prompt in coming back and installing it to finish the job.

Description of Work: Added second drain for new kitchen sink, installed new garbage disposal, installed new toilet, faucet and drain for new kitchen sink, faucet and drain for new bathroom sink, water line for new refrigerator, installed new dishwasher. Everything went very except for the dishwasher install. The top of the door was scratched during the install and had to be replaced. We discussed with Joe and to his credit he immediately agreed to make it right by ordering and replace the scratched part. The only issue was the amount of time that passed from the time he ordered the part and the time it was installed. First time he ordered the wrong part so he had to return it and reorder the correct part. This was a little frustrating as it took two months to get it installed but it did eventually get done to our satisfaction.

Description of Work: Had to replace a tub faucet. He arrived on time, assessed the situation, told me what to expect best and worst case, and the job was done in a about couple of hours. I will definitely use this vendor again. I have a few projects in line that I'm already planning!

Description of Work: We had a leak from a pipe under a bathroom sink. We needed immediate service. Contacted Angie's List and we got Joe the Plumber's name and number. This was today (Saturday) and Joe answered his cell phone. Told him the problem and he said he would see who was on theh road nearby. Within ten minutes he called me back and said someone would be at our house in 20 minutes. Ed came, very courteous, professional and fixed the problem and replaced some parts. My husband and I were very impressed at the effeciency and the quickness with which this was all done. I have used Angie's List for other things and have never been disappointed. I would highly recommend Joe the Plumber who needs plumbing services. I will definitely use him again in the future if the need arises.

I posted a negative critique months ago and when he saw it, he called and tried to make several different deals to make me change my response. I refused because what would the point be of entering reviews at all if the vendor could talk you out of it????????

F/up 8 mos.later on issues which arose done promptly and efficiently. Joe and staff polite and professional. Came highly recommended by a neighbor.

Description of Work: Joe was responsive to my request to install 2 faucets and drains. New vanity tops.. so nothing to remove. His price was double my usual plumber. 1.5 hours for each according to my guy- that would be 3 hours for 2. The labor cost would be 200 per hour! Feel I dodged being ripped off.

Description of Work: We had an issue because they came out and the toilet I bought was broken in the box. They were very nice and we reconnected when I got a usable toilet and they came out that day. Great to work with!!

Description of Work: They unclogged a very difficult clog. We got our money's worth. He worked. At it with several different machines until he fixed it. Cleaned up and was very professional.

Description of Work: Joe installed everything for a brand new basement bathroom. The basic plumbing was already installed when we built the house 13 years ago but he connected the sink and the faucets, the toilet and shower with two shower heads, 3 body sprayers and a hand held sprayer. Then made them all work with one (amazing) electronic controller. Timing was critical because of a party we were having. Joe worked around other (less dependable) contractors to make it sure it got done, literally the day before the party.
