(12/14/09) Framing went well and interior layout was very good. There was no attention to detail on the outside work on the house, the new trim does not match the existing trim on the house, the metal work was not acceptable and it had to be done a second time and finally finished by a siding contractor. The foreman told us he was going to be on the job many times and didn't show. Communication for the scheduling of the sub contractors was very poor and they called us to see if they could come do their work. We had to call to have the work area in the house cleaned and we did a lot of the cleaning ourselves. All the subcontractors were excellent and the interior of the job is great. The roof on the front of the house is very good but, there were questions about the back roof and some framing which was corrected. I will add that Sarisley did make an effort to set all faults right in the end although we are not completely satisfied with the exterior of the house as completed. I can not recommend, not would I use this firm again. UDPATE (02/08/10) After we thought that the overall project was finished we received a call from the drywall contractor Sarisley had do the dry-walling of the second floor addition. He worked with Sarisely to schedule the job and I was quoted a price by Sarisley and I paid them directly by a check for $3000.00 noting it was for the drywall. I have found out that they have not paid the dry wall contractor although I paid Sarisley by check noting it was specifically for the dry wall. His and my repeated attempts to straighten this out and make sure he is paid for the work he has done, have fallen on deaf ears and we do not get the courtesy of returned calls. Since this started, the dry wall contractor put a mechanics lien on my property which, in discussions with him, he has removed. As of my most recent conversation with the dry wall contractor, he has not been paid. I do not feel that this is ethical behavior for a company and it appears that they may have changed the name of the company. I would recommend anyone looking to business with a Sarisley company check them out very carefully! Check with the Better Business Bureau to see if they are accredited.
Description of Work: (12/14/09) Removed back roof on Cape Cod style house and added a full shed dormer and framed in a bathroom, two closets, a walk in closet, installed three thermo pane windows, re roofed house and installed siding on new addition. Contracted drywall, rough plumbing, and rough electrical. UDPATE (02/08/10) This is a continuation of an earlier report submitted. The updated section below is a new development which occurred after the project was completed.
