This is the first time I have been involved with hiring a firm for a big project. The roof is large with a high pitch and several sections. I was really nervous. I have to say the Mike (the owner) made this process so easy and it couldn't have been a better experience. Mike arrived promptly for our initial meeting . He presented himself in a professional, yet friendly manner. Our roofing project was described to us in great detail and he took great care in answering each and every one of our questions. Mike's passion for his job was evident. After selecting Rhino Back to do the job, we were pleased to see that the crew (supervised by Josh who was also great to work with) arrived on time each morning. Care was taken to protect our many plants and the clean-up process was very thorough. Our roof, gutters and skylights look great. We would highly recommend this Rhino Back crew to everyone.

Rhino Back was one of the best contractors that I have worked with in a long time. Mike and Josh were very professional as well as there crew. The job was completed in one day, and they even sent someone back the following day to make sure that the cleanup was done to perfection. I received pricing from 4 other contractors and they fell in the middle. I would highly recommend Rhino Back for your next roofing project. I have been a homeowner for 35 years, and in that time I have hired many different contractors for many different jobs. In all seriousness, we have never had a better experience than we had dealing with Rhino-back roofing. This company is exceptional in terms of service, professionalism, promptness- any measure you want to use. Mike thoroughly explained the work they would do, the materials they would use, and the process in a no pressure at all quote. Josh and his crew had to reschedule due to heavy rain in the forecast twice-and each time called well ahead and scheduled a prompt (i.e. just a few days later) new date. They arrived promptly, worked great and the clean-up was terrific. Looking at the ground you would never know they were here- but one look at the roof and you could tell- it looks great! I teach at UConn and my students will tell you that they get only the grade they earn. Rhino-back earns an A+. I highly recommend them!

Workers showed up exactly on time and immediately went to work removing old roof. Started at 7am and had new roof on and cleanup completed before the end of the day. Entire process was fully explained beforehand. Best experience I've ever had with a contractor.

Rhinoback is one of the best contractors I’ve had the pleasure of working with. Owner Mike T is very pleasant and professional, and the manufacturer he uses, Owens-Corning, is top-notch. Mike explained everything in detail – roofing materials, the Owens-Corning warranty, and every step of the installation process --- and was the only one of the roofers who bid on the project to actually inspect the attic and crawl spaces to make sure the wood infrastructure was sound. Installation took one day – the crew of seven showed up at 7 am and by 6 pm the roof was finished, all debris was cleaned up, and the house looked terrific. Production manager Josh was on site all day to answer questions, and came back the next day to make sure that every old nail and shingle had been thrown away. You’d think such quality would be prohibitively expensive (and roofing is by nature costly) but Rhinoback’s price was mid-range of all the estimates I received. I HIGHLY recommend Rhino-Back!

The roofing project went great! Starting with the initial estimate, Mike, the owner, was very clear and enthusiastic in presenting his company and the shingle roofing system they use. His pricing was also very reasonable. He was flexible on the start date as he knew I was starting a new job soon and wanted to be home the day of the job. On that day, Josh, the project supervisor was here about a half hour earlier than the start time. He was friendly and easy to talk to and answered any last questions I had as he explained how the job would proceed. The roofing team arrived a little early and immediately got to work. It was really amazing how energetic and efficient his crew was. They were nonstop action from beginning to end aside from a well deserved lunch break and finished the job in one day. I was expecting it would take two days so was pleasantly surprised. They also cleaned up my property very well and Josh even stopped by the next day to do a more detailed cleanup of smaller material. Finally, Mike followed up with a phone call a few days after completion to see if I had any questions or concerns. Rhino-Back did a great job and I would definitely recommend them to anyone needing a roof replacement or any type of roof work!

This is a family owned business. Owners Mike and Lisa are both very involved in the business and live locally. Mike is a professional who is customer focused. My roof was leaking leading up to the job and I realized that an incoming storm was going to cause problems. I left Mike a voicemail around 8pm and the next morning at 8am he had his site supervisor at my house to put a temporary tarp on. Made all the difference and was a great way to start a relationship with a customer. In every way, my interactions with Mike were top notch. His crew does operate independently meaning Mike is not on-site when the work gets done. The one and only item that came up was during the installation of the plywood overlay. The crew missed a board of wood that had begun to rot from the inside. Once I pointed it out they ripped up the plywood and replaced the piece at their own cost. Still, I didn't like having to get involved especially around an area that was discussed heavily during the sales process. However, they made it right immediately when I brought it to their attention and this was the only item that came up. Overall.... The work was done on the exact timeline that was promised. The cleanup was impressive. The job looks great. Time will tell with regard to the work product but during yesterday's downpour everything stayed dry. If my mother needed her roof done tomorrow, I'd hire these guys. You could go cheaper but you'd probably pay for it in the long run. Good value. Thanks Mike!

Everything was completed as promised, crew arrived bright and early, entire job finished in one day, no surprises or extra costs, and looks great! Mike was very professional, explained everything thoroughly and was helpful in deciding the best options for the job. A truly amazing, unexpected experience! Begins with a meeting by Mike, a review of your needs, and a professional quote of the work to be performed. Mike recites precisely what we should expect and, in detail, how it will occur. After speaking with a few other roofers, there was no question, this was the personable company to hire! Extremely professional workers who performed an impeccable job! After watching neighbors replacing their roof with other companies, these same neighbors replied personally to me how amazing this job was and could not believe it only took ONE day! I shared in their amazement as that aspect, although Mike said probably 1 day, was difficult to believe. I'm a believer now! If you're seeking a roofer, don't waste your time with others. THIS is the company to hire, hands down!

It went great. The crew showed up on time and started removing the old shingles. By 9AM, I was told how many pieces of plywood needed to be replaced. The roof was completed by evening time and the area around the house was cleaned up. The left over materials were neatly stacked and were picked up a couple of days later. Great job.

Mike, Josh and team were awesome to work with. From start to finish they were always in communication with us and helped us to install a quality, long lasting roof on our new home. They were able to replace our entire roof in one day, and were impeccable with clean up after. Mike and his crew provide an excellent service at value. From start to finish the job off without a hitch. All plans and steps were laid out in advance with the timing for everything from dumpster and material drop off to day of job and clean up. The team onsite was punctual, polite and clearly enjoyed working for/with Mike. Mike's second and command Josh was on site for the majority of the time and made sure that we were aware of what was being done and when things would be completed. A word about warranty; best I have ever seen. Roofing materials AND installation work is guaranteed and backed by the roofing material manufacturer. Not the least expensive quote that we received in the process, but overall the best value for our money and piece of mind. We recommend Mike and Rhino Back Roofing.

Mike was efficient from the time we had our first meeting. He set all expectations and there were no surprises. From project time to dumpster drop off and pick up to clean up . This was big job and it took 2 days. I was around for most of it and it was a pleasant experience! They all work very hard. Josh was supervising and did not miss a beat. He answered all questions. Everything was done promptly and professionally at a good price. I especially appreciated the time that was taken to explain every detail involved in stripping the old roof and installing the new roof. This company has a lot of positive reviews on Angie's List which was one of the reasons we chose them and we were very happy with the job they did. Zero complaints and lots of praise for a job well done.

This was THE smoothest contracted project we have EVER had! This company started the project well ahead of the projected date and completed it on schedule ( in one day). The materials were neatly placed on an "out of the way" location on our driveway. The night before, the dumpster was delivered exactly when it was supposed to be. The project manager came the morning of the project WITH the team, and explained everything that would happen, in sequence, throughout the project that day. This company truly works like a "well-oiled machine"! The yard was cleaned after the work was completed. What had been moved for construction purposes was put back ( ie. patio furniture, etc.). The unused roofing materials were removed, as was the dumpster, the following day. There was a person from the company who returned the following day to once again search the property for any debris that might remain after the initial cleanup the day before. The evening of the project, the team manager came back in the evening to walk us through the finished product and answer any questions/concerns we might have. There was also a phone call a day later from the owner of the company thanking us for our business and asking for feedback. Not to mention that I received a mother's day card from the company thanking us for choosing them several days before the project started.! THIS is the way customer service should be!!! Mike did a great job selecting the appropriate color tiles. The timeline of the project was laid out and all deadlines were met or exceeded. The new roof sections were seamlessly matched to the existing roof--the workmanship is excellent The cleanup was impeccable. The entire team was very professional and great to work with. I am very happy that I chose Rhino Back Roofing to replace my roof.. From the estimate to the project's completion and follow up Rhino Back provided excellent service. Mike's informative overview of the project process and materials used was a step above his competition in terms of detail and genuine attentiveness to my questions. He also scheduled the project to meet my time schedule. The project itself was completed quickly and professionally by six of the hardest working people I have ever seen. Josh, their foreman, carefully supervised his crew and checked in with me to answer any questions I had. Indeed, Josh and Mike's affability were significant in making the project go smoothly and with a minimum of stress. Came as soon as possible, as the roof had a leak, crew got right to it , and they worked effiently all day . Covered the plants with tarps, and had a young lad cleaning up scraps into to the dumpster . I couldn't have asked for a better job . Right from the estimate with Mike , he took time showing me the materials, checked the attic , which none of the other roofers did. This was my best experience in all the years I have lived in this home ( 40yrs 3rd roof) I certainly would recommend , the well organized company to everyone of my friends and neighbors.

We decided to replace our existing roof so we contacted three local area contractors. One was more of larger company doing roofing all over CT, the other two were local guys. The larger company gave us a solid quote, but the person who came and looked at the roof was a total salesman. We had some questions about the roof that he could not answer but said he would have someone call us. The other local guy missed the scheduled time then did a drive by the house, providing a good quote, but never even talked to us. Then there was Mike from Rhino. Mike showed up on-time and was very friendly. He looked over the whole roof and even went into the attic to get a good feel for the job. He then spent about an hour taking us through the job, answering all our questions right on the spot. It was obvious he knew his stuff! Gave us outstanding advise that kept us from spending on unneeded modifications to the roof. Mike gave us a very solid quote. He was not as cheap as the larger company, but it was clear we would get an outstanding product from him and his team. I think that the other company was making up the costs on ridge vents along with some other cost cutting adjustments that Mike advised against. We took Mike's advice and could not be happier. Josh, Mikes project manager was awesome. The team showed up on-time and knocked out the job in two days and we have a big house. They were so friendly and helpful, we cannot say enough positive things about the guys. As for the roof, it looks awesome!! Mike helped us pick the color and he was spot on! We love it! 10 for 10 for Rhino-back roofing - the entire team. It was worth paying a bit more for such quality work and advice.
