They got here in a short period of time. They were done in a couple of hours, end of story. They were very clean. I am satisfied with their work, it is wired correctly and everything is up to code and done in a proper manner.
Description of Work: They came in, looked at the job, went out to get the parts, and came back and did the installation. I had a new faceplate put on and new breakers installed.

When a customer calls Mister Sparky for service, it is clearly explained to the customer that there is a dispatch fee to come to the home. If the customer does not agree to this fee, we decline to service the customer. Our dispatch fee covers our technicians time and the cost of sending our truck out. We see by this customer's account, that although they agreed to pay the service fee, once the technician was on site, they refused to pay us.

This was an ongoing job, setting the generator up, etc. There was much co-ordination involved between the various factions and Mr Sparky was willing to come whenever he was needed.
Description of Work: Mr Sparky was the electrician that hooked up the generator put in by Power House Electric, ongoing in July and August. The electrician, Mike, was professional, courteous and extremely knowlegeable. He was very easy to contact with questions we had and always appeared on time. Even though he came from Seymour (New Haven area) to Glastonbury, he was very willing to come at any time. I wouldn't hesitate to use him in the future and I highly recomment him.

they did not change one wire in my home and charged my $1289.00
Description of Work: This is unbelievable. They came, they pressured, I signed. When they left I called and and cancelled. They left my house in a dangerous state, with electricity running through my basement floor. I was getting shocks from the water in my washing machine. They left an unsafe ground, pressured me that I had to give them this money so they could come back and fix it. They prices were way overpriced and I cancelled. I has another electrician do that work and more and it cost me far less then any one of their estimates. Here's the rub. Even though I cancelled within 24 hours, and they did absolutely no work at all, they would not refund my monies. I have found and disputed with my credit card company only to get a portion of my deposits refunded. Next, I will be going to the consumer affairs department of the State of CT and then if nothing happens I will be calling eyewitness news and their consumer department. I have done this all by the book step by step, calling the merchant, time and time again to get no where, no returned calls and then get only a portion back from my credit card company is very disappointing. I will not rest until they have refunded all of my money and everyone knows not to use this company!

Mister Sparky's pricing structure is based on industry standards for licensed electricians. We charge by the job, not by the hour. The price for the repair was presented before any work was done and the customer agreed to the repair at the set price. We performed a single circuit diagnosis and determined a service change with updated grounding was needed to solve the electrical issues she was experiencing. She agreed to and paid for the diagnostic and a deposit for the repair. Moving forward she opted not to have the repair done with our company. She was refunded all of her money with the exception of the necessary permit fees which were obtained by our office through the Town of Seymour and are non refundable as well as the diagnostic fee which she signed off on to have our technician diagnose the source of her problem. The customer tried to coerce her credit card company into a total refund, but after they performed an investigation of the situation, they denied a total refund because the customer approved the diagnostic that was performed by our technician.

Powerhouse representatives were pleasant, professional and courteous from the first phone calls with Nancy St. John, to the last Lantern installation by Kurt St John, the company s owners. Kurt came out to price the jobs and provided written estimates. When the LAN cable was run, I felt the jack on the second floor was not placed near enough to the existing phone jack and power outlet as I d asked. The serviceman explained that it would have been more difficult to place the new jack in that same space. While the new jack was not very well placed for my use, I was just happy to finally have LAN access on the second floor, and was initially willing to live with it. Not long after the installation, Nancy called back to ask if I was satisfied with the work. I explained that I was satisfied over-all and commended the job, but mentioned the awkwardly placed LAN Jack. Kurt came right out with the same young serviceman, looked the situation over, and although it required, pulling the cable, cutting a new hole and plating the old one, Kurt moved the LAN jack closer to the phone and power outlets. There was no further charge. After this experience, I was glad to have Powerhouse return to remove the old, dangerously waterlogged A/C power outlet on the Post Lamp in my front yard. At the front door, we had two custom made wooden lanterns that had been built with the house in 1979. These lanterns were old, warped and becoming decrepit. Kurt and his serviceman removed the old lanterns and replaced them with the two lanterns I provided. The new lanterns were smaller than the originals and required new openings to be cut in the wall and the original openings to be sealed. This work was done within the original estimate. Kurt and his serviceman removed all debris and cleaned the work site. These were very small projects for a company that offers generator installations and commercial electrical services. Yet it was made clear to me that my satisfaction, and continued business is important to Powerhouse. I remain very pleased with Kurt's work and I am highly impressed with his integrity. It is good to know that there are still service people and crafts people who take pride in their work and their company's good name. I plan to call on Powerhouse for future projects and will gladly recommend this company to anyone needing electrical services.
Description of Work: I've used Powerhouse Electrical services twice. The first time, to run a LAN cable from the first floor, through the basement, and up to the second floor. The second time, Powerhouse replaced a power outlet on an external Lamppost and replaced two wall Lanterns.
