They looked at a possible job opportunity at our house. We had previously had another company take a look at the same job. They recommended not to perform the job on our house. They stated they would not perform the job on their own house so definitely would not recommend it on someone else's home. They did give us a recommendation but they do not do the type of work recommended. They came out promptly and did not charge for the consultation. They are reliable and fairly priced due to our past experiences with this company.

I think that pricing could have been better. I thought that they took too long. The installer encountered a problem that I thought took too long.

On time, courteous, excellent work and good value

Representative was of the opinion that I needed a much larger water softener system due to high readings of hard water. Gave me a quote later for this item as requested. I did not proceed since it turned out that my water softener was working correctly and did not need to be replaced,.

Dave arrived the day I called, and arrived on time. He found the problem and quickly repaired it. He discovered the problem, explained the problem (stones in the line?!) and took care of it quickly. He was friendly, fast, and worked clean. Will definitely call in the future!

They explored doing some work in the laundry but didn't actually do that work so we decided against the cost on going ahead on that but there were some costs involved during the exploration.

Dave showed up within an hour. He was amiable and got right to work and replaced the corroded pipe. He also fixed a couple odd leaks. He was efficient, pleasant and sensitive to the urgency of the problem.

Technician was prompt, thorough and skilled. All issues were resolved to my satisfaction in a reasonable amount of time. I will call them again.

Called Mulvaney, they sent out a tech to explore why our water system wasn't working properly. He ran some tests inside the house, and determined that the problem was with the well pump or pipes. He unsuccessfully spent hours trying to locate the well. The owner of the company came out after many hours and tried to locate the well. They were unsuccessful in finding the well, which is ironic because it says well pump locating on the side of the service truck. They did use metal detectors and they dug several holes, however the holes were too shallow to locate the well. The owner recommended finally that we bring in an excavator to follow the pipes from the house to the well. He then presented use with a bill for the time which was 450$ for which we paid immediately, but got zero benefit from. We called another local well pump company a few days later and they sent out a tech who found the well within an hour, and he said that the prior company wasn't digging deeply enough to find the well even if they were right over it. The second company quickly found the well and determined that we needed a new well pump and pipes. They very quickly did all necessary repairs at a very reasonable price. In conclusion we will never use this company again period.

This was the first time we have used their services after they were referred to us. They were able to come out as soon as we needed. They did a great job with the work both times. Although, on the first job, they could have cleaned up a little more. They are a great company!

They came within an hour of my call, diagnosed problem ASAP and fixed it for good. Just wish prices were not so high.

We have used them in the past. Large and small jobs. Very good work. They are in my town, I'm glad to support local contractors.

Very prompt and professional response to my request for service. Technician arrived on time and did an excellent job.

The work was done right but the cost of materials was a ripoff. I was charged $268 for bathroom cartridges and assorted equipment that I could buy retail in a hardware store for $110. But the last straw was the $9.10 for lubricant for screws and I saw it was a used package and since I paid the full price he did not even leave it and he used ;ess than an ounce.

These guys are amazing. I have used them for a while and they are responsive, they listen, and they take the time to sit down with you and fully explain exactly what they are doing or have done. It's this way every time. Also, on THANKSGIVING DAY, instead of the guy coming out here and chargin me triple time, he spent 20 minutes on the phone with us twice, to help us stop a leak (pour) in our ceiling, so we could wait until a business day. LOVE THESE GUYS. WOuld never use anyone else.

It's an outstanding experience. They absolutely know everything they have to about plumbing. The reliability and expertise are outstanding. I'll absolutely use them in the future.

I have had two major jobs and two minor jobs from J.Mulvaney & Co., over 10k in billings. I have nothing but positive things to say. They replaced my old pressure tank and well pump with a new constant-pressure pump, water softener, and filtration system. The install crew did a great job & the installation is neat and professional. I've also met two other Mulvaney plumbers sent over for a combination of minor fixes and a major job connected with a renovation elsewhere in the house. These guys were GOOD. They saved me money because they worked quickly and professionally & got the job done right the first time. The owner is hands-on. Joe Mulvaney visited personally to review the water system at the house. When I called some weeks later to ask questions about plumbing work for the renovation, Joe insisted on coming over and having a look for himself even though I told him it wasn't necessary. 110% satisfied, these guys are terrific.

They are super professional and very responsive. However, just know you pay absolutely TOP dollar for everything from this company.

Mulvaney did not want to do the job and he made nonsense remarks about the leaking water tank which clearly indicated he was not interested in doing the job. If people want to deal with someone who most likely considers them stupid, then call Mulvaney.

He was punctual, careful, friendly, professional and left everything very clean after finishing his job.

Couldn't have asked for a smoother experience. Professional arrived in window cited, worked efficiently, cleanly and with confidence that made you confortable they knew what they were doing and left everyone with a smiling on their face and a smelly, unpleasant situation corrected.

Landlord was not fixing a tub faucet leak. This company came highly recommended from a friend. Called in the mornining, they showed up same day, fixed the leak and left the bathroom clean.

He came in and revied the work. Talked about the mess that the other guy had done and sent me a quote that night. Best thing I ever did was to hire his Compay.

Plumber questioned me about the nature of the waste line leak and had me flush toilets, run bath faucets, and sinks, to assess water flow rates in the drain and see where leak was coming from. Whether the leak was due to a temporary clog or overfilling of the septic tank (power had been off for a week due to the storm and the septic tank is a pump-up type), was never determined, but the past leakage, which was major, never occurred while he was there. He went into the yard and pulled the septic tank pump chamber cover to assess the flow rate from the waste line, finding it satisfactory. He then suggested the use of "Clobber," a potent, sulfuric acid drain cleaner, to remove any deposits and I approved, though I questioned its need. When billed, I found that the "Clobber" was priced at $48 for a quart bottle, though plumbing supply houses advertise it for $18 - a massive markup by the plumbing company! His promotion of this treatment suggested an attempt to increase their billing, rather than need, and I later found that another, smaller, waste line (copper) had developed a leak, perhaps due to the acid treatment. I found the promotion of this drain cleaner, when no current obstruction existed, as well as the excessive markup of the product, to be unprofessional.
