I was a customer for over 2 years they overcharged me by thousands of dollars. I tried to bring it to their attention and they didn’t care. When I told them they were overcharging me they informed me of a $500 service fee and a delivery fee that I didn’t know about on top of the fuel that they were charging $4,99 a gallon for. I have a 275 ga tank. they claimed they were delivering 150 gallons a month and they were charging me $400 a month. I cut my contract with them. I have now been running my heater at 75° and over for the last three months and my fuel tank is still over half full. I don’t know where they put all that fuel, but it definitely didn’t come to my house. It may not be ever Daniel’s energy company that scams people but the one that delivers to Wethersfield CT definitely does: do not recommend and I’m telling everyone. .

selecting a new oil-fired boiler was a long process..many quotes from every company that serves my area. Ron D. was exceptional. he is focused on quality, not just another "sale". Ron provided 3 impressive, detailed quotes (best I received). Daniels arrived in the time window specified. Post install cleanup was exceptional. Pricing was competitive - not higher. From start to finish this has been an amazing transaction - rare these days. I was impressed with everyone I met at Daniels. If you need answers along the way, you can count on Alanna T. ...she is on the ball! The experience was so good, I have also selected Daniels for new propane service after evaluating 4 quotes from other propane companies. Again, no issues. Ask for Tim Pappas. We have been Daniels Energy customers for over 30 years and decided to look at installing air conditioning in our home. Daniels Energy came out and gave us a quote very promptly, included several rebates and answered all our questions. They came out to our home and reviewed everything with us prior to the installation so there we no hidden surprises. They showed up on time on the day of the installation and completed all of the work in one day and were very professional. My wife and I are extremely happy with the work performed and the operation of the AC units. Would highly recommend Daniels Energy.

We recently had a ductless central air system installed. The entire team was nothing but great. Our first contact was with Lori, the service coordinator, who arranged a visit from a sales person. The sales person, Brian, thoroughly explained all of our options, surveyed the locations for the units, and wrote up the contract. He made sure no question was left unanswered. Shortly after that Josh, John, and Angel, the installation crew showed up and began the job. They worked efficiently, and neatly, and before the day was done the system was completely installed, the place was spotlessly cleaned, the operation of the system was thoroughly explained, and the house was cooling down. We have no reservations whatsoever about recommending Daniels for purchasing and installing a ductless central air system. We were completely satisfied and impressed with the Daniels experience. From the first visit from the sales rep through installation, everything was perfect. We went with Daniels because of they carry the Mitsubishi brand and because they are a company we knew would be around to provide service if needed. The installation and cleanup was fast and professional. The installers were knowledgeable. Answered my questions and went through the operation of the system including some user tips. We purchased a single outdoor unit and two indoor units. One indoor unit is 18,000 BTUs on our main level and the other is a 12,000 BTU unit on the second level in the master bedroom. Together they do a great job. Can't wait to try the heat setting this winter.

Went very Well. Sales Rep worked with us to see that the proposed system would meet our needs. The Install team arrived on agreed date and time, worked as a team with goal of doing inside work on day 1. The next they did the outside work, completed installation, tested the system, showed us how to operate the units and answered any questions. They left us the manuals and cleaned up, removing packing material and any trash.

We have been Daniels Energy propane customers for over 10 years. They consistently provide the best product and customer service. We recently purchased a ductless AC/Heating system from them. The sales and installation teams were just great. They were on time and kept us informed of their progress. They were also polite, extremely knowledgeable, and even took the time to reassure my Golden Retriever Maggie that everything was OK even though they were making noise in her home. Everything was picked up and left as it was before they came. We have had them back to check out some things on the AC system and to answer our questions regarding how it is supposed to work. Again, first-class customer service all the way. We cannot recommend them highly enough.

Very pleased with prompt response to our inquiry. Brian listened to what we were interested in and came up with a great solution for us. The crew is hard working and personable; they started and finished the projects on time; they cleaned up after their work, and took the time before they left to demonstrate and explain remotes to be sure that we knew how each unit operated. The office processed the warranty paperwork and had it mailed to us.

Good so far, has been completed yet

The air conditioner worked fine for exactly two days. Then, it froze again and stopped working. This happened on Saturday, so we spent a humid weekend without AC. When we called, Daniels disavowed responsibility, claiming that we had only requested a tune-up (which wasn't true). If we had wanted the repairman to check for leaks, that would have been a separate charge (which we were not told at the time we made the appointment, or during the repair). The woman we talked to was unsympathetic, and the soonest they could come out to charge us more money for what they should have done at the outset was the next week! On top of this, their method of charging for work is unusual and completely favors them. I was forced to pay in advance using a credit card, so they had my money for 11 days before they did any work. And needless to say, it's extremely galling that we spent so much money and still have a non-functional AC, with no recourse except to hire someone else. Most homeowners I know (us included) don't understand the ins and outs of an AC system. That's why we hire professionals. Daniels made us feel stupid, like we should have known what to ask for when we called for a repair. Ultimately, they take no accountability for their work, and don't seem to care that they have lost a customer due to their unprofessionalism.

Both the assessment/estimate process and the installation went very well. Ron, who came out to work up the estimate for the work identified additional work that would be necessary, to upgrade our electrical service, that wasn't not identified by the other company the came out to give us an estimate. He also made us aware of available financing options (which we ultimately did not need) and answered all our questions quickly. After we had the electrical upgrade done, the installation of the system went quickly. Done in just two days. There was no mess to speak of and the installers were polite and friendly, a pleasure to work with. Note: We also use Daniels Energy for our oil delivery and furnace service and we have never had any issues in the 30 yrs we have been with them.

I was extremely impressed with this company. The owner himself was involved and exremely helpful. I would highly recommend this company to any office or home that is considering to put in a new AC unit. I would give them an A+ if I could.

The cost was part of my annual service agreement. The service was great and the workers were very professional. They show up wearing clean inform- that goes a long way. They price is a little on the high side.

We moved to a new residence that had oil fired heating. I contacted them to come and provide information on what services they provided as well as pricing for oil deliveries. Initially I was satisfied with the communication as Carlton, the sales rep and district manager, contacted me right away, set-up an appointment and was there on time. He provided me with all the details of their services and current oil pricing, which even at that time I thought was high based on my limited research in oil pricing and being prior to the fall-out of the oil market. I agreed to open an account for the purpose of having my furnace serviced. What I did not realize was on the paperwork he had already filled out to have me enrolled in auto-delivery of oil; something I did not want becuase I knew that their prices were high and that the oil market was poised to be going down. Fast forward a month, I was finally contacted by their service department to schedule my furnance servicing which they were booked until mid January. A short time later I also found that they had delivered oil to my residence after I found a delivery slip stuffed behind the J-channel of the siding next to my garage. The price was over .75 more per gallon than their competitors!! Since I did not know I was enrolled in auto-delivery, and I would not pay an exorbitant rate I called and asked why I had their oil in my tank. Carlton explained to me it was part of the service contract at that time. I expressed my concern that I was not aware that I had enrolled in oil deliveries when I signed up for a basic service contract and the price was too high. I then stated I wanted to close my account and asked that the oil be pumped out. Since I had already paid for the service contract for the year, approx $200, and I was scheduled for the furnace servicing which would have been about the same price. I decided to keep my account open with one stipulation, that oil would not be delivered agian without prior notification, which Carlton offered. Now this morning I found an invoice from Daniels for an oil delivery on 5 January, which I was not notified in advance about. Not only that but it was .74 per gallon higher than their competitors! I was irate, called Carlton, cancelled my account, demanded they remove the oil but they reduced their price to be within .07 of their competition. Ultimately I can say I was not happy with their sales practices, communication and definitely not their pricing, beware. They will tell you that their higher price per gallon covers the servicing contracts, having 24 hour emergency service standby, discounts on parts and labor but if they are averaging .75 a gallon more than other companies for oil that is another $112 per month more on top of your average 150 gallon monthly fill-up with competitive pricing, oh and the service contract was $200 to start of with!

Hired Daniels energy to put in a new furnace and heat pump. Pricing was competitive and the service was outstanding, I couldn't be happier with the result, would definitely use them again.

We switched to Daniels Energy from another local fuel oil provider. The initial decision was based on a highly competitive price for fuel oil. Since switching, we have leveraged their service on a couple of occasions. Oil deliveries have been timely and handled with professionalism. Service calls have been handled quickly and efficiently. All staff we have interacted with have been great people to work with. Customer service clearly matters to this business!

Kept their appointments and were very knowledgeable about propane and heat pump alternatives. Originally were considering replacing the boiler, but when the air conditioner started to die, suggested a good heat pump which will heat all winter and cool all summer. Installation was very cleanly and professionally done and system is working well

When I purchased my home last fall, I knew that I wanted central air installed before the summer heat and humidity started. Of the two bids I received, Daniels Energy was the higher, but their proposal was also more thorough and the brand of the compressor was superior to the one on my other bid. Pete Metivier was very thorough, explaining things in great detail, answered all my questions. After a bit of back and forth and a couple of communication gaps, I finally got my contract sorted and appointment set up. (Also, after I accepted my contract, I got a $250 coupon from Angie's List for a new install, and they honored that.) They installed the AC the last week of May - the hottest week of the year so far. Despite being in the attic of a Cape in the heat, the guys were incredibly polite, professional (both to me and to each other), and respectful of my home. Dave, Rob, Angel, Mac - all of them were really great, especially Dave who answered my many questions as the job went on. It ended up taking three days (Thursday, Friday and Monday), but they made sure that the AC was running through most of the house before the weekend. They followed up with me a week later to do a follow-up check. Subsequent to that there was some tweaking needed after the install, and they came right back out and sorted it. Very pleased with the system and with the customer service. Already have recommended them to my neighbors.

They are very efficient and have automatic delivery. They will be here when they say they will and I don't have to worry about ever running out of gas. The propane is competitively priced and they are very professional.

We use Daniels as our contract heating oil and heating service provider. As part of the package we purchased the "supreme 24 hour comfort plan" meaning that service and parts for most of our oil burner are covered at no extra charge. We noticed a loud whoosh followed by a puff of smoke whenever the boiler kicked on and my wife called Daniels to see if someone could take a look. The technician was at the house in less than 40 minutes and determined that the unit was sending oil into the burner before ignition leading to an over burn as soon as the fire started up. He put on a new digital unit that allowed him to better program the initial start up and was out of the house less than 90 minutes after arriving. The following week we received an invoice that confirmed that the parts and labor were covered by the package and we didn't have to pay any extra. A few days later my wife noticed that there was still a small over burn with a smaller but noticeable puff of smoke. She called again and once more the technician was there within about a half hour. He adjusted the digital unit made sure it was burning properly and was out the door about 30 minutes later. I am very pleased with the work provided by Daniels. The oil and services provided by Daniels aren't necessarily the cheapest in the area but they aren't outrageous and their technicians never fail to do a good job quickly, professionally and politely. They don't even seem to mind my two young boys watching their every move from the basement stairs.
