After the installation was complete I have nothing but great things to say. The crew that came was professional and completed the work in a timely manner. They even shook out the extra blankets I had laid down to cover the floor. I look forward to having them back in the spring to clean my insert.

 + -1 moreI am very pleased with the service and professionalism received by the Flue Doctor. I called because I thought our fireplace damper was broken and the chimney may be clogged. Serviceman Justin scheduled an appointment, and called to say he would be a few minutes late. He checked the damper and found that it was not broken, but did need to be adjusted so it seated correctly. He cleaned the fireplace and chimney, and discovered a birds nest and dead bird inside, which he removed. I was very impressed by what a thorough cleaning he did, and how careful he was to clean up any dirt left behind. The price was very reasonable and he suggested that I call again in 3-4 years (based on how often we use the fireplace). Very pleasant and not at all pushy to sell his services.

When I ended up deciding not to install the stove after all, because it was in a difficult l location and I had no other options, Shawn was a gentleman about it His honesty about how the stove pipe was going to end up looking may have cost him the job,but his integrity has resulted in a favorable recommendation on Angie's List.
Description of Work: Coal stove installation.. Came out quickly to price the work. Climbed into the attic to give me a full picture of where the stove pipe would have to be connected through ceiling so I would have no surprises and therefore no additional unseen costs. . Very thorough, personable and professional, clean cut and neat in appearance. I liked the way he looked over the stove, which was not new, and interacted with me on that part. He offered to provide the stovepipe at cost and was able to match the pipe to the chimney that I already had, saving me probably $600, expensive stuff .The other companies would not use the existing chimney pipe because they said they would not guarantee the work, which was nothing more than a ploy to get me to buy chimney and pipe,probably for around $900. Although I decided not to go ahead and install the stove, I highly recommend this company.
