Awful awful company. They’re SCAMMERS. They don’t do anything they say they’ll do, their office is god awful at communicating, they cancel your appointments without even telling you. After you opt out of a contract they try and keep your deposit. I could go on and on. DO NOT TO BUSINESS WITH THESE SCAMMERS find a real company for your HVAC needs!! STAY AWAY!!!!

Installation of my HVAC no problem by the company. The product is working great. The only issue I have is the service, they installed my HVAC a year ago, they have called to do a maintenance that was scheduled two months ago and the service was included on my purchase. They were supposed to be in on Friday they called me Thursday Afternoon to reschedule for a technician to come in another date, I have taken a PTO from work just to have them come in and do the service but they never showed up. After any installation on any company, what counts is the service, this company is not responsible at ALL!

TMS, the only reason why I’m not giving zero star is because there is no option for it. This company shouldn’t be doing business concerning heating systems, unless you want to be left in an icebox with no help. I met this company through Home Depot after purchasing a home for my family and needed a new system that works for both heat and cooling. The sales guy that came to our house was a okay at first but turned out to be a liar and a jerk. He proceeded to tell us that he has the system at his house and it worked great for him, also that he never needed a backup heat source. We had the old radiator/steam system for heat and I asked him if there would be a problem to remove them and convert to their split system because I have two young kids under 5 and the radiators have possibly of lead paint, also they get very hot. He told me it’s fine I can remove them. We have a 2000+ square feet home and downstairs (kitchen, living, dining and office) he told us the 24 should work perfect for our heat, we agreed and they later called and told us the other customers have been complaining that the 24 is overheating so they will give us a 12 instead. I kept asking if this will be good for this area given the size and even the superior on the day of install told me I’m fine. Now that the old radiators are gone and we tried using this unit it doesn’t work. Downstairs is an icebox. We reached out and they kept giving us the run around and then told us to reach out to Home Depot. After about a month of back and forth they told us that we can go back to the initial size 24 that we ordered but this would void our warranty. I even asked them if we couldn’t get another 12 on the other side of the room to balance everything out and they kept telling us that they would have to remove the warranty. So they don’t want to be responsible anymore for this unit if we go that route. How can you sell someone a product that suppose to work and after it doesn’t you want to go back to our initial but have to remove the warranty. I seriously wonder if you guys have a family and if the shoes was on the other foot what you would do. Because of this company we can’t move in the house and have to be waiting for warm weather because it is so cold. My youngest is 5 months and I explained all this but this company seem not to care about nothing other than profiting off hard working people trying to survive. I even went as far as to tell the guy to come and remove the stuff from our house and he told me “that’s not how it works, and that my wife didn’t read the fine print”. What kind of bs is that. I could go on and on about my experience. I wouldn’t recommend my worse enemy to this company. No human should be treated like this and a lot of us wont understand until we have to go through it. Do better.

None of our install team told you that it would be ok to remove your backup heat source and it is even listed in our contract and exclusions that you signed off on that you will absolutely need to keep your backup heat source for instances of extreme cold. You were also doing construction on the home and not running the system consistently to even let it work correctly, which we told you about on several occasions. There seems to be some confusion on your end and we seem to just keep rehashing the same conversation. And lastly, we would appreciate not calling our professional sales consultants liars or jerks - it is inaccurate and disrespectful. If you would like to continue to talk about this, please call our office so we can have a thorough discussion so you completely understand the system you have in your home, how it works, and how your expectations match up to the system's capabilities. Faulty water valve replacement, caused water damage, THEY hired Servo Pro to repair water damage to my home. They in turn breached the contract..would not except phone calls from parties involved. In other words they will not pay the bill. We are determined to make sure this never happens to someone else.

The job was to rewire for smart thermostat that needed a transformer added and rewire from furnace to thermostat. The two electricians were respectful and professional. They completed work timely with craftsmanship. The only reason for poor review was the price. I should have done my research and gotten more than one quote. I agreed to price due to the fact that it would cost $150.00 just to show up for quote. After researching what the job would cost I was upset that I appeared to have paid well over double the price of what it should have cost. I urge anyone hiring this company to do your research and know what your paying for. Feel like I was taken advantage of, be careful that this does not happen to you.

CUSTOMERS BE AWARE !!! They are liars and don’t care about customers services at all!!!! I requested a installation for 2 thermostats 3 weeks ago, and after the visit was postponed several times, when they finally came to my home they told me the service couldn’t be done because the thermostats I had is not compatible to my system, but they will still have to charge for the visit , plus hundreds of dollars to get job done. After I explained when I made the appointment I was NEVER told about the extra charges and when I requested a quote for the installation they gave me a PRICE FOR THE INSTALLATION OF 2 THERMOSTAT but they never mentioned about extra charges , they basically refused to believe what I said even though they have “recorded calls” but you can not listen or get a transcript even if you need to proof what you said is the TRUE. I was treated like whatever I said never happened and the fact that I spoke to several people and the last one, hang up on me saying I will be placed in a do not service list , like l’m the bad guy, because I questioned what they said and refused to pay for a service I didn’t get. If they were straight up when I requested the appointment I’d understand the charge for a visit but when a company don’t explain the charges from the beginning YOU CANNOT TRUST THEM!

Hello [Member Name Removed] - we feel the need to clarify several items, including those that are false in your review. When you called in wanting your two smart thermostats installed, the CSR you spoke with explained the service fee. You asked if that covered install of both thermostats and she explained that doesn’t cover either, that the service fee is to have the tech out, and he’d go over all pricing on site. This was agreed to and the appointment was scheduled. When our tech arrived at your home, he explained to you that you do not have a common wire and that we would need to run a common wire for the install of the thermostats, hence why we charge the service fee to evaluate before going over pricing. You then were unhappy about the pricing for the install and kicked the tech out of your home while also refusing to pay the service fee. Our Customer Success Manager then spoke to you, pulled the recorded phone call, made sure that our CSR did explain the pricing correctly, and explained all of this again to you. You refused to listen and called our CSR and CSM liars. At that point, our CSM understood that we would not be a good fit to work together and concluded the conversation politely with a good day and happy holidays. You were not held accountable to pay anything for the appointment even though our tech did travel to your home, perform his analysis, and provide all information as promised. We are completely transparent with our customers and pride ourselves on being 100% honest always, even in difficult situations. To call us liars and say we don't care about our customers is slanderous and something we absolutely will not stand for. We wish you the best and hope you find another reputable company to work with.

Total Mechanical Systems gave us a competitive quote and a shorter lead time than other A/C contractors we quoted. Their team showed up on time, did a high quality installation job, did everything TMS had said they were going to, and were careful not to damage any walls, floors, etc.

They charged a $100 diagnosis fee and did not give me a quote, had to call in to the office to get it, was another $2100 beyond the diagnosis fee.. The serviceman was quite rude. Meanwhile I contacted another company, Cawiamca, they charged no diagnosis fee and did all the work for $275! This guy was nice as could be. Moral: Don't EVER pay a diagnosis fee! I asked Total to refund it and they would not.

Bob from Total Mechanical called me immediately and was quick to offer me an appointment on the same day. Joe arrived promptly (even a few minutes early), was courteous, patient with my questions, and very respectful. He explained what he was doing prior to making any repairs and answered all of my questions. Joe is very professional and friendly. wasn't even here five minutes and said the leak was fixed left and it flooded the basement all night, this time ac broke isn't cooling and is 95 degrees in the house wasn't even here five minutes said it was not broken, now it still isn't cooling was told it would take 24 hours to cool and it hasn't even dropped a degree. paid 200 dollars the first time and additional money for the fix and just paid another two hundred and its still not fixed. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY.

After filling out the needs form on Angie's List, Total Mechanical Systems called within a few seconds and dispatched a plumber who arrived within the hour. The plumber, Joey, immediately fixed the problem and did so with a professional, up beat attitude. Joey even brought his own booties to protect the flooring. Would absolutely use TMS again for plumbing and will request Joey. Joey told us TMS also does all mechanical systems and we'll try them for those services the next time the need arises.

They were quick in responding for the estimate. We scheduled the appointment for a fri (in the event that they were not able to finish in one day) and indeed, they had to come back the next morning. It ended up being about a day and a half to complete the work. The workers that came were very professional and made it a priority to try to keep the floors protected while trafficking in and out of the house. They also saw an issue with our dryer hose when they removed the old tub and replaced it because it was failing. When work was completed they reminded us to call our town for the final inspection to close the permit. I did that this morning only to find out that a permit was never issued. They applied for it but did not wait to get the actual permit before completing the work. This was partly due to a turnover in our town inspectors. (The old one left just after the permit was applied for) Overall I was very pleased with the quality of the product and the installation. The lifetime guarantee (which is transferrable to the new home owners in the event we sell our home) was a big deciding factor for us going with them. If I had to fault them it would be in the price. I do feel that they were overpriced. Make sure to get some other estimates before you sign. :-)

These folks didn't even get a chance for the job because Morgan / the office assistant would not confirm the appointment if both homeowners aren't home to "make a decision." My partner and I are very busy working professionals. With travel and work schedules, us both being at home during the week is very difficult... Morgan's lack of empathy caused this company to lose out on our business.

The company overall was very professional. They were referred to us from Home Depot, therefore we were able to finance through Home Depot. The rep from TMS seemed to have a lot of experience with these units. The installers did a very good/neat job.

I am a new home owner and have needed professional services a couple times so far since I purchased my home back in April. Both the customer service representative I spoke to on the phone and the technician that came to my home were super friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. Out of all the places I called inquiring about pricing they had the most reasonable costs. They were also able to come out within a week which was a huge help since I was having problems getting heat up to my second floor. The technician was at my house roughly an hour and was able to both determine the problem I was having with my heat and "clean" the furnace as well, saving the need for a second appointment. My condo was built in the 70s and the duct layout isn't ideal, something not uncommon for a home of its age. He checked the fan speed on the blowers to see that they were as high as possible then also made the suggestion to close vents in rooms not frequently used to redirect the heat to the rooms not getting sufficient air flow. The other option would be to have the duct work completely redone which would be costly, and something I'm not necessarily ready to think about doing. Closing some vents has definitely made a difference. I plan to call them again in the spring to service my central air unit.
Description of Work: I initially called to have my heating system checked for uneven heat distribution throughout the house but they also performed a "cleaning" of my gas furnace while they were at my house.

I was very pleased with my overall experience with Total Mechanical Systems. When my aging furnace broke at the start of the cold season, they were very quick and accommodating to send someone out to get me a price assessment. Installation of this size took the majority of the day, but the crew that did it showed up right on time and were very professional, courteous and did a great job explaining how to operate the new system. This was an expensive project, but I compared pricing and found their estimates to very much align to what other contractors were charging for the same service/installation. They also provided me with several financing options which the other company I received an estimate from did not do. I would definitely recommend them and will be using them in the future for my HVAC needs.

The process from beginning to end was efficient, professional, and extremely smooth. Everyone I talked to from the company was prompt, professional and always true to their word. It only took one week from estimate to installation. The representative who gave the estimate was very up to date regarding current HVAC systems and very personable. The office staff kept us up to date on the installation process and the two installers were a pleasure to have in our house for the day. Truly a great experience.

I had called someone else last year who never returned my call. Total Mechanical Systems responded to my contact via Angie's List in the first 24 hours. I scheduled an appointment. Marty was on time and started to work immediately. He cleaned whatever it was that needed cleaning (sorry - can't remember the exact part). Checked the rest of the system and left with the furnace functioning perfectly. Marty was very pleasant and professional. I will now call them for all my heating and cooling needs.
