+ -1 more.Here is a status report. On Aug 21, 2015, I called and spoke to Joe Molinaro. He said that he was prepared to pay me right away and that the money he owed my mother and me was in hand. He asked me to text my address to him so he could mail payment. I asked him to handle it within 7 days and he said his attorney would be in touch with me within that time to make arrangements. That was almost three weeks ago. I have heard nothing from his attorney (whom he refused to name), nor have I received any payment. In fact, subsequent texts from Joe were very hostile and arrogant, stating that a court order doesn't mean he owes me the money. So he, once again, lied to me about meeting this obligation. I will proceed with legal channels to make sure he makes good on this court order. I am not the only one. There are others doing the same thing. We are all finally glad we were able to locate Joe, who has been hiding from us for a good 8 years. BTW, he owes my mother and me, together, almost $35,000.
Description of Work: Joseph (Joe) Molinaro, Jr., the owner of this business, is a convicted felon and has many lawsuits against him relating to his poor work. Both my mother and I have judgments against him that have gone unpaid for 8 years. He took our deposits, did some of the work, then skipped town. It has taken this long for me to locate him so I can continue my efforts to collect. He has numerous victims in both Connecticut and Rhode Island. He is also a convicted felon of crimes related to his work, crimes that he plead guilty to. These crimes include two counts of larceny, forgery and identity theft. I learned from reading police records that when he lost his license in CT, he used the name and license number of another builder to illegally obtain building permits. Instead of going to jail both times, he was given probation. Joe's pattern is to take a deposit, start the work, and then disappear. He has caused extensive damage to many homes by tearing apart rooms he was to remodel and then leaving, or by installing shoddy plumbing. I have not been able to find one person who has done business with him where he has finished the work, or done any of it well. The criminal facts can be confirmed by examining public records here in CT (party search at www.jud.ct.gov for both small claims and criminal cases), and by examining police records in the towns where he has been arrested. I also speak of my personal experience, and the experiences of some of his other enraged clients whom he ripped off. Avoid this man at all costs.

+ 2 moreHe's an agreeable person to deal with. He is knowledgeable, experienced, and he's generally very prompt about getting the work done. If you have any problems, he's easy to work with to solve those problems. His prices are very reasonable also.
Description of Work: He did a sodding project for us and built a deck for us too. Currently, he's doing a roofing project for us.
