Description of Work: Pat, the Repair Technician, from Carey's Appliance, came to diagnose problems with the ice maker in my 2009 Electrolux French Door Refrigerator-Freezer. | |Pat was able to determine that the circuit board for the ice maker and block that formed the actual ice cubes was no longer functioning properly. | |Parts were to be ordered by Carey's Appliance for Pat to come back and replace the defective ones. | |Pat was very polite. As excavation work had been done on the sidewalk leading to my front door, Pat had brought in something to keep the floor clean due to mud/dirt conditions on the side walk. | |Pat went right to work to determine the problem with electronic analysis as well as visualizing proper function of the ice maker unit. | |I was completely satisfied with Pat's ability to diagnose the problem. | |Carey's Appliance dispatcher was able to get the technician, Pat, to come the very day I made the appointment. I was very pleased with Carey's Appliance follow through with appointment details and notifying me within 20 minutes of, Pat's, the Technicians, arrival time.

+ -1 moreMarie finally admitted to me that they just had nobody to do the work. I asked for my money back and she said no. They moved the date finally up to June 3rd and Patrick came to my house and was polite but rushed. He lost a clip into the dryer and had to open the whole dryer to find it and then tells me the relay had burned up. So then he said I had to pay for that day's service call plus more for fixing it the next time. Patrick was leaving and he asked for the phone to talk to Marie. They treated it as if they were doing me a favor by not charging the labor to fix the relay but just charge me for the part. Now we're up to $375 for this simple repair. Patrick told me he would be out on Friday and when I talked to Marie, she told me they weren't giving me my money back and Patrick would not be out on Friday but that they would contact me when the part came in.
Description of Work: The button on my dryer didn't work so they came to my house and checked the dryer. They needed to order a part and Bob asked me for $180 for the part and labor to install it so I gave him a check. Bob called me the next day and I gave him my credit card info for $139.07. I called them when I hadn't heard from them and Marie told me the part was back-ordered but gave me an expectation of June 6th. I called two other distributors and they said they had the part and it was not on back-order.

+ -1 moreCarey's was very reliable. I called and they were very nice on the phone and sent someone out shortly thereafter (they are a Viking authorized repair center). Bob our repairman came to see what was wrong and quickly diagnosed it. They called with an estimate for the part and came to repair it within a reasonable time. Bob was very professional and we were very pleased with the service. Would definitely use them again.
Description of Work: Repaired a Viking stove.

+ -1 moreI WOULD NEVER USE THEM AGAIN. I could bring my car to the mechanic for less that what they charge to look at a washing machine.
Description of Work: We contacted regarding a problem with were having with our washing machine. They came out and told us they needed to order a part and it would take about 5 days. The repair man gave us the bill (and we paid it) and said (and wrote on the bill) that were were paid in full and he'll be back in a week. We were told upfront it would cost $150.00, then we were given a bill for $180.95. And come to find out this was NOT including the part or labor. The $180.95 was JUST FOR THEM TO LOOK AT THE WASHING MACHINE.

+ -1 moreTHEY WERE UP-FRONT WITH ME ABOUT HOW LONG IT WOULD TAKE TO GET THE PART IN. I THINK THEY ARE A REALLY GREAT COMPANY. I LIKED HOW FRIENDLY THEY WERE. IT ALSO MADE ME HAPPY THAT THEY CALLED TO MAKE SURE IT WAS STILL WORKING RIGHT.
