Really happy with his work, we love our pool. Mario is a perfectionist and it shows. After 6 months, I still can't find a missed detail or anything I would change. He really knows his stuff and has plenty of ideas if, like me, you're not really sure what you want aside from "a pool you can swim in". He had some good suggestions about the pool deck, placement of skimmer and equipment. He was very accommodating for things we asked for that were somewhat out of the ordinary - he told us what most customers ask for and ultimately go with but never pushed a particular brand or design. I definitely never felt pushed into buying something I did not want. Prices were fair - about what you'd expect to pay for pool equipment (which, let's face it people, is never cheap). The final price came in a little lower than the initial estimate. His workmanship and that of his crew is top notch. He was really patient with my wife and I changing our minds regularly.

Despite being the busy season, Mario of A-1 Pools was able to schedule me for a Saturday afternoon appt. He and another guy came, evaluated the problem and were able to fix it and have my pool pump properly circulating the water within an hour. He was courteous and patiently explained what the problem was and what was being done. He pointed out a couple of things that will need attention in the future, but was clear that they were not urgent, just giving me a heads up. There was no sales presure whatsoever.

They are very professional, and they also actually build pools. I have used other services in the past, and I think that A1 charges a fair price. The quality is very good. The owner is very attentive, but he also has crews that come out and service customers. The crews are competent, thorough and clean. In 10 years, I don't have a lot of complaints, to be honest with you.
