Smith 40 gal. tall 40,000 BTU Contractor Grade with a 9 yr warranty Very professional in the removal of the old unit and the installation of the new unit. High attention to detail, checking the quality of the new unit. Perfect clean-up when job was complete. Also I particularly appreciated the fast response to my inquiry and the same-day installation. Noticed my gas water heater leaking on 3/27/2019 and discovered Scardino business on this site, happily. Rich called within 10 minutes and was both patient and professional while explaining my options as I was thinking of perhaps purchasing a tankless water heater. I ended up going with an AOSmith gas water heater, in the end, given the scenario of being a condo owner rather than home owner. Ed, fellow owner, and Rich discovered a couple of problems that they had to solve, too, that I wasn't even aware of which were safety issues! They met every challenge politely and efficiently. I immediately felt at ease with them as if I was speaking to my brothers. They were wonderful to answer all my questions and concerns. They guarantee their work for six years--another huge selling point. (Guys, see if you can put that in print on your blurb here and on your business cards.) In addition, I was so grateful to see how meticulous they were with protecting my property. How many guys do you know that will wipe off wheels of a dolley to wheel a water heater into your home--exactly--just these two, Ed and Rich! Pricing was very fair as well. Rich first thought he could do the job the following days, but he ended up contacting me a couple of hours later saying that there was an unexpected opening if I'd like the work done today. Oh, the water heater was on the third floor of my condo, too, but that didn't scare them. What are you waiting for--hire them; they're great! They were such blessings to me today!

Installers (Rick and Ed) intentionally concealed a huge dent along the top rim of new water heater by covering it with the warranty/paperwork. When my electrician discovered the dent after the installers left, I was shocked and disappointed in the dishonesty of the Rick and Ed. I called Rick to replace the heater. The response was, "we can come tomorrow, what time?" Rick didn't ask one question nor argue because he knew. They came the next morning and didn't even knock at the front door but headed straight for the back basement entrance without even saying hello. Were they that ashamed of themselves? (I sure would have been) They never apologized. Sheer lack of integrity, honesty and professionalism.

Our hot water heater blew out in the really cold weather. Mr Scardino responded immediately to my email, we reviewed the problem and our options he quoted me a price and set up an appointment for the next morning. He installed the new heater and was kind enough to also check out a few other issues and make suggestions. I will definitely call him again and would highly recommend him .

Richard was great! He was very polite & professional & responded to my request quickly by coming out the next day. My hot water heater gave out & he went as far as attempting to walk me through over the phone to try & restart it. Ultimately it needed to be replaced because it was 17 years old. He gave me all of my options & the installation was quick & painless! The water heater I chose came with a 6 year warranty so if anything should happen to it within that time frame he ll come out to repair it. Super happy to have hot water again after going 4 days without it. I would definitely reccomend Richard!
