I'm absolutely shocked in a good way by what just happened. A gentleman from SavATree just came to my house to provide an estimate for spraying for pests. I was specifically concerned with Gypsy moths after last year's invasion. I'm a city girl who doesn't know a darned thing about maintaining trees. What he told me is that Gypsy moths aren't a big concern this year. There are some other pests that would cost about $700 to handle, but he didn't think it's worth bothering. He could easily have told me that I needed thousands of dollars of work done and I wouldn't have known the difference. I'm on a tight budget, so it's huge that I don't have to have my trees sprayed. The honesty of this company is more than admirable. I'm so impressed, that I highly recommend them based only on an estimate and no actual work that needs to be done.

SavATree was very responsive to my initial inquiry and came out soon after the initial contact to do a walkthrough and provide estimate. The individual who came out was very knowledgeable and listened carefully to what I was looking for. He did not try to sell me on anything more than I asked for - and gave very honest responses to my questions. He was very professional and built trust. The estimate provided for the initial tree services was higher than I expected based on previous work I have had done by others, but I felt comfortable that the quality of work would be higher - and I was correct. On the day the work was performed, the person who did the walkthrough with me did a walkthrough with the 2 guys who performed the actual work. Everything was completed as expected - and to my amazement there was no traces of the extensive work they had done in the yard (literally every stray twig was removed). We have also hired them to perform disease treatments on one of our apple trees, but that work has not started yet.

We used them for about six years but upon retirement elected to do this work ourselves. Weed and suppression and growth was OK but moles and voles were never eliminated despite Grub treatment.

A four man Crew arrived at 8:00 a.m. They had all correct equipment, bucket lift truck, and chipper. The largest tree, a red oak measuring at least 90' literally touched the house. The entire crown of the tree with huge limbs hung directly over the roof. Each of the men knew exactly what to do. They adroitly removed the limbs ensuring they dropped clear of the house, which they all did. they worked straight through until 5:00 p.m. insuring my property was cleaned of all debris left from tree cutting. The crew were extremely courteous throughout the procedure. I was extremely satisfied. I would highly recommend this company for all of your tree removal needs.

The SavATree Arborist (Mike) who quoted our project really knew his stuff. He gave us good advice (and answered our questions about one large tree we thought may have to be cut down, which actually was fine -so we left it). He wrote up a quote on the spot - we felt it was very reasonable - and awarded them the job. It was a little longer than we expected to hear back on a date for the work (a couple weeks in fact, and we called them)... but once the date was set, everything was fine. The SavATree work crew got to our house about 10 minutes ahead of their 8:00 a.m. start time. Mike (arborist) was exactly on time. Every person we met and spoke with was polite and personable. The crew chief who worked the cherry picker and trimmed the extremely high branches of the maples growing too close to the service lines was amazing... it was like watching a master sculptor at work. They were careful of our yard, our house and the service wires... and mindful of where the septic and well were situated. The huge branch growing over our house was bigger than some of our small trees - they took it down without a problem, and the rest of that giant tree still looks beautiful. They did everything they said they would, they cleaned up all areas they worked in and even swept the driveway before they left. They were good, hard workers and we'd recommend without hesitation.

They come in a big truck and come two to three times a year and spray the trees. If I have a concern about the trees they come and explain to me what is wrong with them.

They only performed part of the work they promised. After several calls they failed to come to complete over a 4 month period. There response was on the first follow up that they were very busy because of the bad weather but promised to get out before the end of the year. They have never shown or called back.This is the first time I have used Angies List and am very disappointed with your recommendation. I will not extend my subscription

The gentleman who initially came to my home, I believe his name was Jim, was very nice and very informative. We discussed adding on the overseeding to the Angie's List deal for aeration and although I wanted front and back done, he talked me out of doing the back saying it was a waste seeing as I had dogs that ran around in the back and the grass would have a difficult time growing. I called the next day and asked that that be added anyway. Even if some of the grass took, it would be better than what was there now. The crew arrived to do the work and they noticed that there was a placard out front about the lawn being treated for weeds. The explained to me that the seeding wouldn't take since the lawn was recently treated and I should wait a few weeks. A good thing I didn't remove that placard earlier! I wish Jim had been aware that the lawn shouldn't be seeded so soon. It would have saved me having to be home the day the work was scheduled. Three weeks later I called to ask when they were coming, we scheduled a date and I arranged for someone to be here. The dogs were kept indoors while the men were there, but they only did the front lawn and left. When I called to ask why only the front was done, Jim was unaware that the work wasn't completed and assured me they would be back the next Monday to finish. I stayed home, but they did not show. I had to call again. Nobody was aware that they hadn't shown. Then they showed unexpectedly a couple of days later. Luckily, there was someone at the house! I was very unhappy that it took so many trips to my house to complete a job that should have taken two. I was also very unhappy with the lack of communication between Jim and his crew.

Everything went very well. They were very knowledgeable. It was just one guy who came out. He explained what they do and their services they provide. He gave me some information on the landscaping that was there. He then gave me a quote. He was very knowledgeable and patient. He didn't push anything on me. He just explained what they did and gave me a quote. He was a nice guy.

They were very good. They were the second people I had, to came out and look at the job and the first people we had came out gave us a ridiculous estimate. We wanted all the trees to come down but when Savatree came out they said that they just needed to trim them. They charged us the same amount of money as the first people but we didn't lose our trees. We were very pleased with them and I would use them again. I've used their service twice already. They were honest compared to the first bunch of guys I had come out because the manager had said one thing and they came up with something completely different. For the amount of stuff they had to do they were reasonable and worth the money.

They were very professional and very nice. He asked me if I had gotten any other bids and I told them that they had ranged from x-y. Not surprisingly, their bid came in the middle and it was a stupid and inexperienced mistake that I made.

The tree trimming was excellent. They trimmed out the branches and came back and trimmed some more branches on the smaller tree. It looks very good. The lawn care seemed a little expensive but the looks of the lawn has improved. They always came on time and notified us ahead of time when they were coming.

THEY ARE AWESOME PEOPLE. I LOVE MY GRASS NOW THANKS TO THEM. THEY ARE A DECENT COMPANY TO WORK WITH. I PLAN ON USING THIS COMPANY FOR YEARS TO COME.
