house painters
+ -1 moreThe old homestead had cedar shingles which hadn't been painted in over 20 years. And that painting was done by a cut-rate outfit of college kids, not professional painters! The cedar shingles were very dried out but not yet curling. There were spots of wood rot, holes drilled by carpenter bees, and flaking paint at all of the many windows. David & David worked like machines, scraping, puttying up holes and doing minor repairs to the damaged wood. They hand brushed the entire house and garage & attached shed. We had already selected a Benjamin Moore Arbor Coat solid stain and a trim color for which David chose a Sherwin Williams product that looks like it will stand the test of time very well. Stain & paint were included in the negotiated price. All in all it took about 2 1/2 weeks to complete the job as rain caused a few delays. But they were here when they said they'd be, did the job as promised (and better then we expected). In fact, their work was so beautiful, we then asked them to also paint the roofed deck (which I had intended to paint myself). These Dave's are the best!
Description of Work: David and his friend/employee (also a David) bid the painting of our 3600 sq ft raised ranch and oversized two-car garage. We had a personal recommendation from a friend and felt David's assessment was candid and his price was reasonable, as our home hadn't been painted in over 20 years. David & David did the whole job (plus!) and we couldn't be happier. I would definitely recommend David Chambers to anyone seeking painting services.
