Overall good but cracks were not completely filled so I am asking them to come back again.

I called Joe at Driveway Guys and had an immediate response with a quote. (Great price). Jeremy and Carlos were at my home within hours to seal coat my driveway. The gentlemen from Driveway Guys were all extremely professional, friendly and polite and my driveway looks amazing. They were extremely neat and careful not to get sealant anywhere but on the driveway. A few years back Driveway guys paved my driveway and they displayed the same high qualities at that time, and I was please with the outcome. The Driveway Guys are amazing! My driveway slopes towards my house and I’ve always had issues with drainage. The Driveway Guys installed a very long curtain drain from the driveway all the way through my back yard, dug around my 1000-gallon propane tank, and did it all without any issues. They were quick to arrive and give a quote, quick to schedule, and completed the job on time without exceeding the quote. My driveway looks gorgeous and is the talk of the neighborhood, but I’m most happy to say that our drainage issue is finally over! Thanks very much to Joe and his great team.

I Contracted The Driveway Guys to install a driveway apron on my property Cost $4,250 On July 9 2021 The Driveway Guys started the Job by prepping the site. At that time I asked if they could also pave a 20 x 30 ft. parking area. They agreed verbally to add the parking area for $2,400.00. On July 9th they paved the driveway apron. On July 12 or 13 The owner ( Dan?) showed up and wanted to get paid. I told him that I would pay him when the Job was complete and the State of CT DOT approved the Job. He got upset and stated that he would complete the job but wanted to get paid then and there. I said that I needed to make sure the the State DOT. On July 14, 2021. The owner showed up and wanted to be paid. I said that I would pay when the Job was completed and the State DOT. At that point the owner Brought his equipment onto the property and tore out the Parking area and said that he would tear out the driveway also if I did not pay NOW!!! I called the State Police and the following occurred: Please be advised that in removing what I was told was your asphalt and stone you also removed subsoil that is my property and refused to separate it out form what you claimed to be your property for which I will be filing a formal theft complaint with the State Police if you do not make immediate restitution. In that the State Police were present and stated that the property damage (excluding the theft of subsoil) is a civil matter I am hereby requesting that you turn this matter over to your auto insurance carrier and your liability insurance carrier. (Please review your policies as the say in context that you must notify them (your Insurer) of any and all claims made against you in a timely manner)

I had my driveway done by the driveway guys Sept. 2018. Unfortunately I had and issue with some piping that ran under the driveway (unrelated) and I had to have a portion of the driveway removed. I called them again once the pipe was repaired and they came out to patch the driveway for a very small fee due to the fact I was a return customer. Things like that make a business successful. They did not gain any revenue from this job but they did gain my business again and again and I’ll always recommend them!

responded one time to two of my calls, then they never called back. I always feel that if they treat you poorly when you're in the shopping phase - forget about it when you're in the buying phase!

I was very happy with this company. They were punctual and exceptionally priced for the service provided. The entire process took less than two weeks to complete from quote to paving. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a driveway guy.

They came in, dug out the old driveway area, repaved, followed by which the other crew came in and sealed the rest of the driveway. Nice piece of work.

GREAT ! WORK WAS PERFORMED FAST AND AT A REASONABLE PRICE .

We had a proposal for repairing a sink hole. The work was done with cold patch in February. The promise was to return in the spring when the weather was warmer . They were supposed to do a hot patch in the spring. They did not call to do that. We called and got an appointment. We agreed to have cracks filled at the same time. The new charge would be $800. We had already paid $1500.00 for the cold patch and the spring hot patch. We had a date set for the work to be done but no one showed up. No one called. We called with little satisfaction. No one called us after that to explain or set up a new appointment. We were pretty disgusted with their work ethic. It has been two months with no work from them. We are hiring another company to do that work on the cracks in the driveway. They will work on the hot patch next summer. I am surprised that a reputable company would treat a customer so casually and they would not follow up to try to mend fences. Besides which, we paid for something we never received.

Twenty four hours after contacting this company and receiving a quote to plow my driveway they finally showed up. This was after several phone calls and assurance they were "on their way". When they finally did arrive, they drove OVER THE SNOW to the house and decided to charge me three times as much to have the job done. My wife was 9 months pregnant at the time and I was afraid of being stranded if she went into labor. Therefore with little choice I paid. Buyer beware. There are far more reputable companies and people out there.

Summary of complaint against The Driveway Guys, LLC: Contracted services not provided Unsatisfactory customer relations Failing to return five direct phone messages and 3 indirect messages Missed start date/no new start date To whom it may concern: On 24 October 2016 I accepted a proposal from Joe of The Driveway Guys, LLC for the paving of a portion of my driveway. The proposed start work date was 7 November 2016. I called Joe on his mobile phone immediately after he left my house, as I had forgotten to notify him that I required a certificate of insurance with my wife and me listed as additional insured. I also had a question about the grade of asphalt and the drainage of the new driveway. Unfortunately, this and several other phone messages to Joe went unreturned. My questions remained unanswered even after several calls to his office assistant. I didn’t want the job to begin without this information I required. A total of five messages from 10-24-16 to 11-7-16 were made to Joe, none of which were returned. On or about 26 November 2016, I received a call from the aforementioned office assistant notifying me that the job will be deferred until next year. I asked for answers to my previous three requests, a new contract with the new start date for next year. Those requests were never fulfilled. I called Joe approximately two weeks ago and spoke with him for the very first time - he had never answered his phone previously. He stated that he would be home the following Monday and asked that I call him back at that point. I did so, but he didn’t answer his phone or return my message. Today, 27 March 2017, I called the office and spoke with the office assistant and said I need to know whether they’ll provide my information and if so when they will start the job.. She said that she would call Joe and have him call her back, although he rarely returns her calls either.. For the first time, he actually called me although this seemed just to argue.. He was more focused on what he thinks I had said about him rather than the job details. After a brief conversation he informed me that he couldn’t “make me happy”. He made bizarre accusations that I told his brother that he didn’t return 30 calls from me. I informed him that I have never spoken to his brother. He told me that I told his brother that I complained to BBB. I told him that I have never spoken to his brother nor complained to BBB yet. Joe’s actions as a partner of The Driveway Guy’s were exceedingly unprofessional. It would seem appropriate to take administrative action against his license. Steve Cohen

I have a beautiful driveway now. I may have damaged it with a plow on the last storm in the spring thaw last year. I called The Driveway Guys and they came down and tamped it down again. Their guarantee has been tested and they backed it 100%. Their goal was to make me happy and they did. If you need a driveway, just call The Driveway Guys, they will take care of you.

A rep from driveway guys showed up while i was working in my yard, he said that they were working in the neighborhood and could give me a free quote to have my drive way paved, I told him sure go ahead, expecting a high price i could not afford. I have a rather large driveway, 1900 square feet, it was all covered with 3/4' stone. I have been looking too have it paved for years but the price was always too high, last time i had a quote was 3 years ago and it was 8000.00. He quoted me a price of 5600. that included removal of all the old stone and minimum of three inch pavement. great price i said lets do it. During the process they removed three large rocks and a tree stump that was buried under the 3/4" stone for no extra charge. Also, I had the driveway lined with landscape timbers that over the year were falling over, they straightened them out and braced them from behind, again no charge. I wanted too keep the stone they were removing for other projects so the foreman had them piled up in the far side of my yard near the woods. the drive way came out excellent no complaints at all, can not see any seams and all the edges look great. It comes with a one year warranty for any cracks or frost heaves. nice job guys thanks,

Our call was returned promptly and they sent someone right out to give us a quote. Although there were 2 no shows for different reasons, when they did a good job when they did finally get here.

Dug up old driveway and walkway to house and put new asphalt down.

An appointment for seal coating was made, but the vendor neither showed nor called. It was raining, but I still should have had a call to reschedule! I called them and rescheduled, but again the weather got in the way. I have never had further contact.

Well, at first it seemed ok. We received a quote, which was the lowest, and scheduled them to do the work. They were prompt and arrived on time. During the work I was informed I should buy more topsoil to ensure our cobblestones wouldn't come out of place. Should have been part of the quote, but too late, we agreed to the $700 upcharge. The topsoil was seeded, but lots and lots of rocks that I had to spend hours cleaning out. They did damage to the lawn, which 1/4 of the topsoil went to. Next, the invoice was for $300 dollars more due to a miscommunication between the owners. One said I could use the online coupon the other said it was already included. In the end it was agreed not to pay, but after a long conversation. Shortly after, we followed instructions and did not drive on the driveway for 3 1/2 days. The first time we did we got tire marks. Not an issue, due to the weather, so I called and was told we will repair that next time we are in the area. About 7 weeks later, they were next door, installing a driveway, and didn't come over. I called the next day and was told he wishes we came over and told him......they were literally 400 feet away...... Said they would come back the following Monday or Tuesday. Now 3 weeks later, nothing. No call, no site of them. Also, some areas are already showing the gravel base and wearing. Same for my neighbor. I am having someone else come and do the repairs, more money, but I no longer will deal with them. Very nice on the front end, no follow up is a big issue, added charges that should have been in the quote. The crew did work hard, but the end product is just ok with repairs needed. Should have paid a little more with someone else. Would not recommend.

Overall, I was very pleased with the services of this company. This is a family owned business run by two brothers whose family has been in the business for many generations. Through out the day, they worked hard and answered to any requests or questions that we had. Any and every little tweak we wanted to make to the driveway before the asphalt was laid out was done with no questions asked. and quot;The Customer is Always right,and quot; as the foreman would say to us! I would highly recommend these guys to friends and family.
