JS and R LLC

After interviewing 4 roofing companies, I chose their company because 1. they beat the other company's price and 2. they provided professional, friendly, quality, and speedy service... you could tell they knew what they were doing! They set up, got right to work, answered all my many questions and concerns, and with assistance and literally holding my hand because I am afraid of heights, I got up on the roof with them and they showed me that it was good that I decided to replace the roof because they found several leaks that I was unaware of...I saw the pools of water underneath the shingles of my roof! When they finished, they cleaned up, I paid my bill via a referred loan/card service, and I have already recommended this company to several of my family, friends, and neighbor's. I feel they went above and beyond the scope of their job description. I am satisfied with the job they did and I would strongly recommend this company to anyone looking for a roofing company.

Jarod's inspection and estimate were professionally delivered, he made particular efforts to act within his self-imposed 24 hour deadline of providing the estimate after the inspection. I was impressed that he called ahead to say that he would be 10 minutes late for the inspection. He was the only estimate of 3 that I got that looked at the inside of the roof/attic to check for leaks. His demo board (cutout of roof section) helped to clearly explain the work that would be done. The work crew was polite and efficient. Cleanup of the site was thorough although not quite perfect (I found a few nails).

I was impressed throughout with Jarod - but 3 things in particular stand out. 1) His responsiveness - he was the first to give an estimate (within 24 hours) and, throughout did what he said he would do, when he said he would do it; 2) his efficiency - he and his crew operate like a VERY well-oiled machine. They all know their jobs, work 11 hours a day, they've obviously done this together before; 3) the humor and tone - clearly the crew had fun doing the job (lots of laughter throughout the day, jokes). Jarod himself is warm, self-effacing, low-key. If I had one TINY criticism (and it is VERY tiny), is that the are almost too efficient, always with an eye on the next job. I do not think for a minute that this in any way compromised quality, but I guess I would have wanted them to linger. No biggie, though.

Jarod, the owner of the company was extremely professional, courteous and did not try to upset me on any of the work that needed to be performed. We performed the work he promised to in the time he promised he would for the price he said he would do for without haggling and even noticed some other repairs needed to be done and included them free of charge. I highly recommend him for anyone in need of repairing their roof in the southeastern Connecticut area.

Could not ask for better service and our roof looks amazing! The project was perfectly executed from start to finish and completed in ONE day. Jarod and his crew are very talented, hard-working and were a pleasure to work with. To my surprise, the guys even put a new roof on our dog house!

Great. The company was first to respond to my request for a quote, arriving promptly the next morning after my call. Both the presentation and the quote were detailed and professional. They were the only company that did not require a deposit and allowed payment by credit card. The contract specified when the job would be accomplished, which was within a week, to accommodate my travel schedule. Only 1 nail found in the yard after cleanup. (discovered while mowing my lawn 2 days later). The job took over the estimated one day, however was finished the next day. Part of my finished garage ended up with water damage after stripping, and the issue was dealt with immediately. The owner provided proper supervision of his crew and the only guidance that I needed to provide was where to relocate my flower pots and lawn furniture after they were complete. JS & R were the low bidder. I normally would not pick the low bidder, but with great reviews on Angie's list, one of two true professional, technical bids, I was not sorry that I picked them.

Jared explained the job in detail to my mother, he was punctual and attentive. He performed the work on time and his crew worked hard straight thru until the job was done. He did an excellent job at a fair price. I called him during the job as I had a few questions. He answered my questions and was very polite. We would use this contractor again.

Jarod made the process easy and quick. After seeing him on Angie's list as a top-rated roofer, we contacted him for a free estimate, along with several other companies. Jarod came out and provided an easy-to-understand assessment of what work was required, including a review of the attic to identify potential leak areas, and left us with samples (swatch book) of shingles. Two days later, he contacted us to give a quote (aided by his roof material estimate technology), with an option for 30-year or lifetime warrantee shingles. After reviewing several other companies, their products and their price, we picked JS and R and are happy we did so. Jared set a date for the roof install, had the materials dropped off the day before and organized the workers to have it all completed in the same day - AND IT WAS - Just 1 day to re-roof. At the end of the day (4pm), the dumpster was gone, the materials were gone, all concerns and questions were resolved and we had a beautiful new 30-year roof. Jarod was a pleasure to deal with. He addressed questions and concerns as they arose, and dealt with cleanup of materials and debris after the job. Hands down - we would pick JS & R EVERY TIME! Feel free to get other estimates, but you will want to call Jarod to have your roof installed.

The service provided by JS and R was beyond all expectations. They were prompt and professional. All services were discussed up front with no issues. The crew setup and installed the roof in one day. They cleaned up the area leaving only some small debris behind. I was thoroughly impressed. I was able to pay with a credit card which was very helpful considering I live overseas at the moment. I would definitely use them again (just hope I don't have to :)

Outstanding, they arrived at 7:00 am, at 7:30 my entire house was covered with tarps to protect it. Instantly they were removing the roof and a man was on the ground put everything in the dumpster. By 9:30 am, the entire roof was removed from 1000 sq. ft house, plywood and all and the crew was preparing to replace. When we came home after work at 5:30pm the roof was replaced, new plywood, lifetime shingles. The neighbors were amazed with a roof replacement in a day as one down the street was on it's second week. Wonderful, to have a job done with a crew and experience quickly and not have a dragged out process to come home to. The next day they came over and used a magnet catcher a second time prior to picking up the dumpster.

J.S. & R. did a great job on the soffit and fascia board repair. The roof was in desperate need of replacement and J.S. & R. was very helpful in getting this done before winter came. Jarod was great to work with and stands by his word. He goes out of his way to make sure that any questions you have are answered and that you're happy with the work completed.

I had excellent communication with JS&R throughout the process. Based upon other estimates I received and research I did on roof replacements, JS&R gave me a very fair quote for the job. Jarod and his team were on time for any appointment and completed the work on schedule. As promised, my yard was left clean without any roofing debris. He made sure that I was pleased with the job before accepting payment. He was definitely responsive to my needs as a customer and went out of his way to provide excellent customer service.

Jarod is very professional, punctual and polite. He takes the time to answer all questions and is low pressure guy. I got 3 estimates, his was the lowest by far. His crew arrived at 7:30 AM and the job was done by 6PM! The dumpster was gone in two days.I definately recommend J.S and R.

Sometimes a roof crew can make you feel like you want to hide in the house. Jarod's crew was so respectful you wanted to bring them dessert. They were hard working and professional. Jarod listened, had good ideas and solved leaking problems that were created from strong waterfront winds blowing up under the shingles. It worked! Jarod is a kind, community minded professional who works on shelters and coaches local teams, He regularly checks and double checks his employees and hires women to roof. He is a certified master roofer! We were very pleased with this roofing company!

The estimate (including a discount) was a good price, and the final cost, despite doing a few extra things I later asked for, was exactly what the estimate was. Great job. Put a new roof on my two family house and a two car garage in 2 days. Best price around. Excellent workmanship and gave me a Military Discount. The cleanup crew was outstanding. Our roof was 40+ years old with two layers of shingles. Our first winter in our home, we experienced leaking around the chimney and ice-damming near the soffit in the back, which also turned into a leak down our wall. We knew it was time to replace the roof and had planned on doing it ourselves over the summer months. A close friend of ours recommended JS and R LLC, as his company had done their roof. We figured it didn't hurt to get a few quotes under our belt before we decided to take on such a big project ourselves. Not only was Jarod the most professional of the three companies we received quotes from, he gave us a list of houses he's completed (in order for us to check out his work), his company was recommended by a good friend, AND his bid was too good to pass up! Especially when the alternative was doing it ourselves. Jarod allowed my husband on the roof to continuously watch the project, showed him the boards that needed replaced, which were one's we have suspected. Both leaks were rectified and the ridge vent he recommended to us is allowing the heat to escape our attic better and made our cooling upstairs more efficient. I cannot say enough great things about JS and R LLC! Professional, informative, punctual, are just a few adjectives. The price was on point, they cleaned up their mess like they were never there and every time we approach our house, we breathe a sigh of relief that our roof is DONE! We breathe a sigh of relief knowing that winter is coming and we don't have to worry about leaks and efficiency. We breathe a sigh of relief that our bank account isn't hurting as well. I can't thank our friends enough for recommending JS and R LLC and we have already returned the favor and have recommended his company to many more friends!

I hired this person to put a new roof on my house, he convinced me that I did not need a ridge vent, now I am having mold inside on the ceiling that I have never had in the 45 years that I have lived here. (There is no attic, it is cathedral ceilings) I am very dis satisfied with their professionalism. I tried contacting him and he would not come out he kept repeating it's not my fault. I would not recommend this company for the job.

Was on time, quiet as possible (no loud music – in fact no music) completely walked me through the procedure & explained all details. Payment was on completion. Did excellent job of clean-up, plenty of documentation as to work to be done. Used quality material.

The crew arrived at 7:15am the first morning, they had the roof completely stripped by 10am. by the end of the day the roof was water proof and about I/2 of the shingles done. They arrived 7:15 then second morning, finished the roofing and used a magnet to pick up all nails on the ground and cleaned up any debris. They left the yard cleaner than it was before they started. We were really impressed with their punctuality, detail, and keeping right with the scope of time/cost that we agreed upon. We would definitely recommend them to any of our friends and acquaintances. Being an accidental landlord due to a Military move was not on my top ten list of things in life, however it happened and here we are. In addition managing it from 3000 miles away is a nightmare. I learned my roof was leaking, and a friend recommended JS and R LLC. Jarod was very helpful over the phone, even going through their website showing me different colors of roof that would be best for the eventual sale of the house. He was also very understanding that NO ONE wants to replace a roof, so this wasn't an exciting woo hoo purchase. I was thrilled to learn he did it all in one day, cleaned up everything perfectly, AND even called to inform me my house was colder than it should be and took the time to check and make sure I had oil. I would completely trust him again, and would recommend him to anyone.

Jared came the morning after I called to request an estimate. He examined the attic for proper ventilation and rotted plywood. He provided the estimate that afternoon and two days later we signed the contract. The job was started a week later. The house is two-story in front and three-story in back with approximately 3,000 sq. ft. above ground. It has a Hip Roof with several Gable Roof attachments. The pitch is steep. There is a large amount of landscaping surrounding the house. The workers showed up on time, were polite and worked efficiently. They took reasonable precautions to protect the landscaping. No damage was done. One crew worked the first day, and a second crew was brought in the next day. Because of the steep pitch, the roof was not walkable and the workers wore harnesses. The job would have been completed in two days if not for the early darkness. As it was, one worker came the third day to finish capping one ridge--about 2 hours. We had to clean up a small amount of shingle pieces and nails afterwards, but darkness and the large amount of shrubs were mitigating factors. Jared was friendly and thoroughly explained what our choices were and what was to be done. He spent a good deal of time supervising the job, and when it was completed, thoroughly explained again what was done. With this information and observing the work being done, I was confident that the job was done right and that was most important to me.

After receiving multiple quotes Jarod was far and above the most professional detailed and friendly contractor. His quotes were the lowest too. His team completed the work quickly and the quality was first rate. We would recommend JS&R to anyone!
