There was a lot of wallpaper and the walls were not prepped properly before the wallpaper went up, with that considered, Al and Justin did an awesome job making the walls look new. They are professional and personable and got the job done within a reasonable time line. I will definitely be using them for future projects.

I hired A G Vars Painting Services and they did a fabulous job. They were very professional and I have meant to get back to put a comment in about them, they did everything very quickly and did everything they promised. They did a really nice job. The price was right in the middle, there were higher ones and there were lower ones. All around it went very well, from emailing him, to him sending a quote, to them showing up on time and with the proper equipment and they worked hard. Everything was very professional and I thought the price was fair for the work that they did.

Al and his team were fabulous. They responded to calls and concerns immediately, were courteous and professional. We would use them without reservation for future work.

During a busy time of year, Al Vars promptly arranged to come and look at my bathroom, give me an estimate, and we arranged the work. His planning was excellent, and he was able to cut one day off original estimate of 4 days of work. He's competent, honest, offers wise advice and creative ideas and I'm entirely happy with the work. If and when I need more work done, he'll be the first one I consult. HIGHLY recommended.

I was very impressed with Al's knowledge and attention to detail during the time he was at my home. His company does restoration as much as painting and I really felt like if I went with them that they would do an extremely thorough job. Problem was, I never received an estimate from them. After a couple weeks went by (I was busy and also getting estimates on gutters so not in a big hurry), I called and emailed Al to see what the problem was. I got no response so I called back a few days later and then did get to talk with Al. Apparently he'd been subject to some sort of computer virus/hacking and my estimate was one that got lost before it was sent. He assured me he still had the hard copy and pictures and I told him to call or email me with an estimate in the next couple days because I wanted to move forward with the job. That was the last time I've heard from Al. I called two days later, and then about 4-5 times the following week with absolutely no response. I feel like I was more than willing to give him slack given the hardship he had, and because I got a decent sense when he was at my house. Unfortunately I never got an estimate to compare to, and I would have serious doubts about the responsiveness and punctuality of this company at this point.

The team was very professional and left my home neat and in usable order each night when they left. There was excellent communication throughout the entire process and I felt that the price was very fair. We will be using Riverside Restoration in the future for all our painting and handyman services.

No problems all the way thru

Perfect. When Al came to give us an estimate, he gave us other ideas that saved us money. This has never happened to us when we had to deal with a contractor before. He was very thorough and expained what he would be doing so we could understand. He did exactly what he told us he would do with no 'hidden surprises'. He was prompt and on schedule, polite and he cleaned up the entire area. All his work was excellent. We will definitely use him in the future and refer him to our friends.

Everything was done with professionalism and attention to detail. I am very pleased with the quality and durability of the work. Al even offered to pay for a shrub that was damaged, I didn't have to ask. Great experience.

Three months of remodeling. I first contacted Al before I bought the house. He came with the Realtor and gave me an idea of the cost, what could or could not be done, suggested ideas I had not thought about. I bought the house and then work began. We made several changes to the budget along the way (like me falling in love with cabinets that were $5000 more than budgeted). We added a new furnace/boiler to the job because I was hoping to give it a year or two more, but his plumbing guy had a super deal which would save me about $1500 to do it now. When we tried a white wash on my breezeway and I didn't like it, they had no problem with taking time to redo it. Al is a man of integrity. He gives you receipts for everything he spends. He has you pay him every week or two. He helps you keep aware of where you are on budget, and time frame. When the home improvement store delivered the wrong door, he took care of it instead of me doing it. He makes his people live up to his expectations which are very high. I do not like things done shabby, and never had to worry about that will Al and Justin.
