This review was posted today and around 12:30 Oscar calls me (I've been emailing and calling for over week, this review works) and stated it all was a misunderstanding, that he’ll come this week to take care of it but it was both our faults. Not so. Told him NO. I want nothing further to do with him or his company. And I’m not paying any bills he has already presented. M. H. [Consumer name withheld at their request]

Oscar was very polite, he came and showed up on time. He gave me a quote, we went with it and everything was done in a professional manner.

I received an immediate response to my request... I liked what he had to say and so I hired him. Too soon to know if the quality will be delivered, but my bet is that it will be excellent. I'd definitely recommend at this point.

Our lawn was an absolute disaster ~ huge brown areas and infested with weeds. Turning Green tested the soil and proceeded with a comprehensive program of rehabilitation for the lawn. Our lawn is now one of the nicest in the neighborhood. They are expert, highly professional, and very fair in their pricing. Their customer service is superior as well. I HIGHLY recommend Turning Green to everyone interested in a superior lawn care company.

We hired Turning Green to take care of our lawn for a year (fertilize, seed, aerate, pre/post emergent etc.). Billing was smooth, and Oscar was professional and seem knowledgeable. I can not say the same of the crew who take care of our lawn. We have multiple issues with them: 1) When there is an issue / question, it will take you days (if not weeks) for them to get back to you. Sometimes there is someone there to answer the phone. Other times, you get to a voicemail (which is fine if the message was relayed and followed up on). On almost all instances, it takes multiple calls via email/phone call to get a response. 2) We have a security system pointing to the front of our house, and we do know in general what the quality and level of service we receive from all our vendors is (vs. just guessing). We only check the camera when there seems to be an issue. On one of the service visits, it just seemed the fertilizers / post-emergent was not applied to all areas of our yards. We checked the footage, and we confirmed that the crew only covered 10-20% of the surface areas we agreed to. We timed it. They were at our property for a total of 5 minutes, and charged us $80 for the service. Think about it, it takes a min to unload and load the equipment alone. 3) The last straw came when we are now in early spring (3/30) - literally the second week of non-frozen weather. My lawn is absolutely in the worst shape it has ever been. It's over-run by weeds. We drive to Wilton and Greenwich every day. Without a doubt, our yard is the worst I have seen in all 3 towns. There is not even a remote second. If you see a house that you think "Oh My God! It looks like they haven't taken care of the lawn in decades." - that's mine. And Turning Green has taken care of my lawn for a year (including aeration and power-seeding, and ALL the services they recommend). One can argue a number of things contribute to this (and we haven't done anything differently to our yard btw). But I expect a phone call back when I called twice to them about this same issue. No one even responded. This shows me they neither care about their customers nor is competent in their work. 4) You may think they must be really cheap and you get what you paid for. But no, they cost $80/visit when other providers charge $50. So all in all, given the quality / cost of service, and the customer service, we have to terminate the contract. And I really would not recommend them to anyone else.

The lawn looked great after the renovation. They applied mltiple follow up seeding to address some bare spots. Communication was prompt. Billling process is streamlined. It’s impressive!

I was disappointed to learn from one of the principles that "pruning" small trees and bushes was NOT one of the services they offered going forward. They did, however, satisfactorily spray my white birches to rid them of a leaf devouring worm...and I might add, in a timely fashion!

Turning Green greatly exceeded my expectations. If you are going to spend your hard earned money on aerating, dethatching, overseeding and bush trimming call Turning Green.

i's hard to judge at this point (thus 4 stars instead of 5) since we rent done but they have been reliable, communicative and friendly, and tailored the job to what i asked for.

Very prompt, courteous, knowledgeable, and competitive. If grass grows will be the real test, need 2 weeks to know.
