Description of Work: Full reconstruction of garage bay and sun room, including joist and header replacements, framing, dry wall, paint, door install, window install, flashing, residing, insulation, wood floor refinishing and electrical.

Description of Work: I was first introduced to Sunny House while I was president of a condominium complex in Stamford. We were looking to replace old wooden decks with ones made of Trex to have them last. I will be reviewing their work here for both this project, as well as a new patio I used them for on the front of our new home. For the first project, I solicited a number of bids from 4 different contractors. One thing that stood out immediately with Sunny House are they were the only ones that showed up on time. Another differentiating item was Sergei gave me all of their insurance, license and referral information up front, and was clear about the permits that would be needed for the project. That gave me a clear indication that this company was legit, followed code specifications, and offered a complete package. Doing work in a condo complex is quite challenging to say the least. There are a lot of people to try and please, not much room to stage equipment, and different personalities to deal with as the work progresses. Sergei went out of his way to ensure that materials were delivered on an as-needed basis to minimize on site storage, and made sure work began and ended as to not interfere with people leaving and returning from work. He closely coordinated with myself and the rest of the board to let us know when the workers would be on the decks, so we could communicate to all owners appropriately. The result was fantastic. We were able to get a great deal on materials, and all work was performed on time. Sergei also recommended replacing the wood under the sliding doors with similar Trex material since many were rotted out. He was able to do it for a minimal cost increase, and was much easier to do while repairing the decks, compared to what we may have had to do later. While you can't please everyone in a condo (for those that have lived in one, or do, you know what I mean), most were extremely happy with the final result. It was a huge success. We recently also used Sunny House to replace an old small patio that was installed incorrectly on the front of our house. The old patio was becoming increasingly dangerous due to erosion. We called Sergei to get some ideas and costs. After going through some design changes, we settled on a unique shaped patio to accommodate a septic tank and house venting. Sergie gave us some great ideas for pillars and lighting to enhance the patio look, and together with my wife, came up with an overall look that would really give our home a great entrance. The mason was an artist, cutting each stone to fit perfectly. They used reinforced cement, steel poles for the retaining walls and loose stone for a rock wall along the driveway. All of the work was second to none. I will look to see if I can add photos here. I was overjoyed with the results. I have had a few friends since visit and all were extremely impressed with the results. Sunny House coordinated a few different trades that came in to assist with the install, including siding, plumbing and electric. Everything was pretty much done on time given some of the unexpected "surprises" found along the way courtesy of the previous owners. All in all, a wonderful experience.

Description of Work: We used Sunny House for a number of projects, but I am reviewing the work for bathroom remodeling here. We bought a fixer upper house that needed severe work. I spoke with many contractors, and have had similar nightmare stories with large projects in the past. I began dealing with Sunny House while I was president of a condo association, and we used them for a large deck project on all of the units. We wanted to address 2 bathrooms on the second floor. One was the Master bath, and the second was a hallway bathroom. For the Master bath, we wanted something different, and asked for some "out of box" ideas from Sergei who has an excellent eye for design. For the hallway bathroom, we wanted to keep the budget low, use as much of the existing items as we could, but still give it a "refreshed" look as needed. We went over the budgets we desired and what made sense to spend money on vs. what did not. One of the great things I liked about Sergei was his ability to pull from his many years of experience to inform us of the many options out there to get "high end" looks while not needing to spend a fortune. We went over many different designs, and we were able to see what our bathrooms would look like virtually, so we can discuss and make any changes necessary. For our Master bath, it was a complete gut job. We went with a few items that gave it a great look, including deep blue fountain type double sinks, and a jacuzzi tub that was enclosed in tile that matched the floors. I will look to try and include photos. We also found a number of items that were done incorrectly by the previous owner, and Sergei brought each to our attention with a good price to get them all repaired. We got some very interesting light fixtures as well as a medicine cabinet with outlets built in for charging things like tooth brushes and shavers. For the hallway bath, we left the tub enclosure, and replaced the floor and wall tiles, we also got a new vanity and sink, as well as light fixtures. We were able to keep the budget low while getting great results. Sunny House handled all the permits with the town, and was on site often to give updates as needed. All of the workers were neat and careful, and very professional. I would highly recommend Sunny House as they have been a pleasure to deal with. Since I have used them for over 7 projects by now, as well as a number of friends and family, I guess that is the highest compliment I could give.
