SERGIO HOME REMODELING

He took 2/3 of the estimated project cost money (he insists on being paid "every 3 days" instead of by the percentage of the job completed- which should have set off alarm bells), he left the bathroom with no running water, no toilet, no sink, no counter nor cabinet installed. Yes, he went AWOL and NEVER returned-- it's a year later now!! He FLOODED my basement via his inept tinkering with the plumbing & water treatment system (and he gave two rejected credit cards to the service I had to hire to clean his flood mess up), he STOLE several building material items that I had paid for (drywall, tape, etc) as well as a broom, bucket, materials, etc on hand (i should have filed charges with the police but the man seems unstable and I felt badly for his wife/kid). He dirtied up my floors, walls, etc -- never cleaned up, left cigarette butts outside everywhere. The expensive marble tile he laid without spacers and the grout is severely uneven in size and color. The paint job is uneven-- very poor prep. Cut corners wherever he could. Pretended he had a contractor's discount at a hardware store and when WE checked out and MY credit card was used, the store said he DID not have a contractors account nor discount. He failed to reimburse that lie/discount. I had to hire another person to finish the HALF done job when he walked out leaving me with no running water and a half done job and promising to come back and never did.. This after I fed him and his hired day-workers lunch every day for a week!!! Incompetent and a rude, arrogant jerk. His was the second to lowest quote I got. And yoohoo government agency, he wanted to be paid "in cash" -- Sergio Roque or Roque of Norwalk, CT. Stay far, far away from him.
