 + 0 moreOur backyard was such a mess, it was difficult to envision the possibilities. Mr. DiIorio (Vinny) arrived on the scene with camera and legal pad in hand and immediately got to work. In a few minutes he fleshed out a master plan that was beyond my wildest imagination. The work was thoughtfully executed with real consideration given to the environment, property lines and our neighbors. The job took about 6 full days - start to finish. Vinny would arrive every morning at 7:30 and I can honestly say taught me a thing or two about work ethic! It was a pleasure to work with Vinny. I enjoyed our morning chats and really got to know this delightfully entertaining gentleman. The work was completed and the result was beyond anything my husband or I had imagined. I can not recommend DiIorio brothers enough. The whole crew was professional, hard working and talented. In addition, it was a real pleasure to work with someone who so clearly loves what he does.
Description of Work: Removed about 30 - 40 tree stumps, excavated and graded backyard (appx area 1 acre). Used existing boulders to create retaining walls and terrace the yard effectively creating two large, level areas. Also supplied top soil and planted new lawn (hydroseed).

 + -1 moreHe first met with us to go over his measurements of our property and ideas about what we needed. Before he put his drainage system in we had flooding in the basement and mud up to our ankles. He drew out a rough plan for where trees could be planted to shade the house and provide a view. He worked collegially with other contractors and educated me on what would work best and why it needed to be done a certain way. He resolved our drainage problem, gave us more parking space and terraced the back of the lot so I have a level back yard, a space for a vegetable garden with trees, and ground cover at the top I don't have to mow. He and his men worked very hard, respected our privacy and picked up after themselves. Each day he made sure I saw what he did and approved of it. He knew the inspectors well as he's been in this business for many years and they trust him.It was a great experience- this man knows it all. His mantra was, and quot;I wouldn't make you anything I wouldn't want in my front yardand quot;.
Description of Work: Totally landscaped our 1 acre new construction home. Hardscaped a long, winding 3-4 ft stone wall after building in drainage for our sloping lot, then used Belgian block to line out the driveway and extra parking space. He's met with the home contractor and the driveway contractor to make sure they put in the kind of quality materials he expects at a fair price. (Thank god, because I know nothing about this). Since the sod has been laid and he planted the flowers and trees he's cared for all of it to make sure they survive.
