Clear Cut Tree - SavATree

Riccio had a different crew for each stage on the job. They showed up with the equipment needed to do the job and did each stage on time with the right size crew. The price was very good for the services rendered and they cleaned up each job when finished. I would hire them again.

I wanted to be there when they came, however they came when I was not there.

Once I bought the "big deal" it was difficult to schedule the service and I had to ask for a refund before being able to get a date scheduled. Service was performed much later in the season than I wanted; almost a month and a half after purchasing the service. Service itself was fine but no better I worse than you would get elsewhere.

Our trees and shrubs get a twice yearly application of Horticultural oils as well as fertilization at a differnt time. It's costly, but applied at the proper time and the right amounts. Yes, I could do it myself, but do I have the time and expertise that this company has? No, and they automatically show up at the proper time. We've been using them for about 10 years and they have proved to be cost effective.

We'd used the service a year prior and were happy with the results. Roger arrived on time for the estimate and wrote up an estimate on the spot. We agreed to a timeframe for the work to be preformed. Roger arranged for the electric company to identify the power line placement in our yard, just in case it ran where they'd be grinding the stump, which I hadn't considered. Some severe weather interrupted the rest of the work so while it wasn't all completed within the initially agreed timeframe, Roger was able to get it completed in time for some other work I had planned, which I greatly appreciated. I am extremely pleased with the results, especially the shaping of the two trees. I've already gotten compliments from some neighbors on how much better the property looks.

I never had my lawn aerated before so I cannot compare, but I guess it is fine. They came at the appointed time and did what they said they would do. Overall, I am happy with it. I do not have any complaints. The price of $135.50 was good.

They do good work. They are very courteous. It is expensive.

I put in a request at homeadvisor.com on June 25th to get an estimate. They came out shortly after that (1st week of July) and looked at my trees that needed trimming. They said an estimate would be emailed to me. I never received an estimate. Then on July 11, Jeff Martin from Savatree emailed me and asked me if I had any questions about the estimate and if I wanted to get on the schedule. I told him I had not recieved an estimate. He responded that some proposals have not been reaching the recipicents. He also asked me if I had hired someone to do the work. I replied to him I hadn't hired anyone yet but wanted to do so ASAP. You would think that he would figure out what was going on and email me an estimate. Fast forward 24 hours. No response and no estimate. I am not in the habit of chasing companies down to give them money. This place is a joke.

I purchased an Angie's List Big Deal special offer for this service. They did a really nice job and the pricing was good. It was a little difficult scheduling, but other than that, it was fine. It took a couple of months for them to come out. I paid additional because I had more done than the Big Deal specified. The problem with the scheduling is that you have to go through the arborist and the arborist is busy so it takes time to get it together.

They responded quickly to our call in the spring and followed-up as promised at the end of the summer. Very professional and yes, I would use them again. Our shrubs and trees look wonderful this year. Well worth the money and great service.

It went great. The plants are doing very well. "They smile back and talk to me".

The 9th of April I was visited by an Arborist to get an estimate on removing a tree on my property. He suggested a tick treatment since my daughter is now old enough to wander the yard. I accepted the contract to perform an organic tick treatment for the property 4 times during the season: Early Spring, Late Spring, Summer, and Early Fall. The first treatment was applied a week or so later and it only took about 30 minutes to spray the product on the lawn and perimeter.

My interaction with them was fine. The guy who came was polite. We went over what was to be done. He went out and did it on the entire lawn. This was the second time that I had interaction with them. The first time was five years ago. I find them polite and cooperative, and they explain what they are doing.

This is the second time we used SavATree and we are on an annual contract of 4 sprays per year. They are professional and email you the day prior to arriving, so you can remove your dogs and kids. The spraying is relatively quick and they are very thorough to cover all areas. The access to organic spray is wonderful, and the property smells great afterwards. We will definitely use them again and again. Jeff spent a lot of time with us explaining everything when we first signed up last fall. We haven't had a tick problem since we started using them, but it still makes sense to be careful outside always. He gave us good advice on keeping the brush down, etc. We hope to use them for some arborist work soon.

SavATree's Southern Fairfield County came out to do the work while I was gone and left me a note saying they completed the job. They did what I wanted done. Their price, responsiveness, and professionalism were excellent.

They were very professional, courteous, conscientious but expensive. They did a good job. You get what you paid for.

They were expensive but good. They were fine and seemed knowledgeable. I got “the special” took advantage of that and then I did have them do additional work like plant feeding. I know that they have given me an estimate going forward in the spring. For the next year it would be high so even though I trust them I think I am going to do some comparison shopping. They were prompt, reliable and answered whatever question I had. The first time I used them I did ask for an amount of tree work that was in the special. I would use them in the future if they are competitive on price.

They seem to do good work. The only issue I have with the company is their lack or delay in communication with the arborist. Though, when I brought up the issue of communication, they acknowledged what was so and did not try to play the blame game. I will probably use them again when the need arises.

Ultimately, I went with another outfit that were about 30% less expensive. They had their own crane and operator, which may be why they could bid it lower. So, Sav-A-Tree came in as a 2nd choice. Would have them bid on future work.

Good at first and turns bad eventually. No follow up, except a booklet.

I loved the technican who came to do the service. He enjoyed my gardens and I was able to give him a bunch of transplants I was going to get rid of! So, everybody made out well.

We had a fair amount of damage in our yard due to Hurricane Irene and the October snow. The representative was quick to come out and give us a quote. He even made a second trip when we decided to change the scope of the project. He helped us to prioritize what work needed to be done promptly and what could be put off until later. The prices were comparable to another quote we got. Not cheap, but I didn't feel like they were overpriced either. They were able to come several weeks before the originally estimated date. Work was done quickly and they cleaned up after themselves afterwards. After Hurricane Sandy, we had only one broken branch in our very large yard. I think the work they did cabling and pruning the trees contributed a lot to that. Very happy we didn't put it off until later. Last week they proactively came out to check if we had any damage from Sandy - we hadn't even called! That's good business sense for them and considering its almost impossible to get a call back from other service providers at times, impressed me a great deal. Will definitely use them for any tree work we need done in the future.

The guy was coming to do an estimate for aeration work so I took the day off but he cancelled due to traffic on the day of. Luckily, he has visited my house in the past and has a record of the size of my lawn and so gave me an estimate via email with my permission. For some reason, the first email did not come through so I called them after waiting for a few days and they quickly resent it to me. After I agreed to the price, they scheduled my work quickly and did the work with no issue. I have periodically asked SavATree for quotes for different projects and have always found them to be very professional in providing quotes. They are not cheap but if money is not an issue, they would be a top contender. Even if you are looking for value, they are still in my Top 3 lists to provide lawn and tree services to me.
