They did great! When I first called them for an estimate they actually showed up on time! That always amazes me becuase very few contractors do. When I decided to go with their bid Stephanie was very helpful in setting up the appointment and handliing all my questions and concerns. On the day of the job the crew showed up early, that was a pleasant surprise also. There was no doubt that they knew what they were doing since they got right to work. The job went flawlessly and I was very satisfied. This was a difficult tree to take down as it was very large and overhung my house and the power line running to it. I was assured by Dan that his company would do a professional and meticulous job and he made good on it. I would definitely use them again.

We have just over an acre lot in a residential area, with over 34 huge white pine trees that over the years we have lived here, have given an huge amount of work to clean up fallen limbs/debris, clean gutters monthly etc. The trees are 80 to 100 feet tall, and when several tops of the trees fell into both our and neighbors yards, we felt we needed take 28 of them down for safety. We had many concerns about this project including the size/scope/price, concern over large equipment on our driveway, safety for the workers given the proximity of trees to the house etc. It was a huge undertaking for us, and our criteria for selecting a company included: 1.) experience/know-how in taking these kind of trees down 2.) reputation in terms of customer satisfaction (looking at Angie's List, better business bureau etc.) 3.) proper licenses/insurance coverage 3.) fair price and 4.) our gut based on communication with the company. We talked to over 8 companies about this job, and decided to go with Riccio. We couldn't be happier with the work they did, and our choice. Dan was great to work with - he answered all of our questions regarding the proposed work for the job, and specifically addressed and came up with a plan to remove the trees without having a huge logging truck driving on our lawn and newish driveway. He spoke again with my husband on the phone to answer more questions, and worked with us to come up with a contract that outlined all details. Stephanie in the office was also super responsive in getting us anything we needed (such as a copy of the insurance certificate) and in communicating about timing for the project. It took the crew (4 men) FIVE days to take down the trees. This amount of time was what Dan estimated for this size project, and he was right on. The crew came on time every day, worked steadily all day, and were polite and professional. We were extremely grateful to Eduardo, the foreman, for his direction with the crew on safely taking these trees down, and were amazed at their work ethic (it was grueling, heavy and dangerous work). The team took great care with the lawn, did excellent clean up (we are talking A LOT of trees and debris). After all the debris was removed and logs relocated to the front yard (for pick-up), Dan sent a few of the crew back to put some topsoil, seed and hay in an area where due to a heavy downpour during one day of work, the tractor left a few marks. The crew took a whole day to work that area for us, and did a great job. We are satisfied with the clean-up - we noticed on previous reviews many comments about the excellent clean-up of this company, and we agree!! It took a logging company 4 full truck trips to take the remaining logs from our property. Because the company was coming from a fair distance for each load, it took a few days. Stephanie in the office was our main go-to on this aspect of the project, and we cannot say enough about her professionalism and responsiveness in communicating with the other company regarding the status of the log removal and keeping us up to date (we are talking A LOT of logs!). Dan also checked in on us regarding status, and once the logs were removed, he again sent a crew member to clean-up and add some topsoil, hay and seed etc. to a few areas where the logs were placed. Dan and his entire team were a pleasure to work with. They did everything they said they would do and more, and were all professional, polite and responsive. We really appreciated that Dan in all of his communications just gave us the information we needed, with no sales pitch. With this kind of excellent work, the reputation speaks for itself and that is refreshing. They made a huge project with lots of factors of concern to us, go smoothly and with the desired results. We are heading into the Winter season without worry about these trees falling onto our home or elsewhere, and shall think gratefully about Dan and the team all season.

unfortunately the small job I had could not be done because it was 500.00 dollars minimum just to get the backhoe here. Which is par for the course. I was hoping that maybe they would be in the area and could do the job for a few hundred dollars. however speaking to Stephanie was a pleasure she was very professional and in the future if I need this type of services Riccio will be the first one I call.

We have used Savatree / Savalawn for many years now. In April of this year, Savatree came and applied arbor kelp to every tree/shrub on our 1 acre property. Unfortunately, we were out of town when they came and when we returned, we found a tag on the door and an invoice for $1500. We called Savatree to let them know that we did not order nor want this service. We were informed by them, that when we had ordered the same service the prior year, we signed an "ever renew" agreement authorizing the service to be performed every year. We had no idea that we had signed up for an annual program when we authorized the work because the sales rep did not inform us and he took the paperwork with him when he left promising to forward us our copy. We are very displeased with this process, the lack of communication and the expense that it cost us.

I went well but I was sad to see the tree go. Our neighbor insisted that the tree was dead and it seemed best that we take care of it

The job went very well. It took two days to complete. Most of the wood was taken away; however a great deal of wood was neatly compiled in a wooded area in the back yard for firewood. I was impressed that Dan, the owner came out before the job was completed to see if I was pleased with the job before it was finished. My neighbor saw how meticulous and precise the guys were with my job, and got a quote from Dan about a tree she had contemplated cutting down for a few years. She was satisfied with the quote and the tree was set to be cut on the second day of my job. Mind you, this was not an anticipation for the foursome, however two men tackled my neighbor's tree, while the other two continued working diligently on my property. Her tree had many family memories, but also blocked a gazebo. The end result was she was ecstatic when the job was completed. To date, she constantly says how pleased she is with her decision to cut down the tree, along with using Riccio's. Update: There was tree damage recently due to a storm. Dan came out today and evaluated the area, where a tree fell onto my neighbor's shed. He was here for quite a while problem solving how his equipment would best enter and exit the property, since this was a narrower work area between the two properties. What I appreciate about Dan is he not only cares about doing the job right, he also cares about your property while his team is on it. You don't find that with every contractor. I've worked with several companies listed on Angie's list and critically,but fairly evaluated each one based on the process from beginning to end. Riccio's is the only company that has ever received all A's from me.

Second time I have used them and again an "A" performance. Punctual, courteous, do an excellent job and spotless clean-up. Totally recommend them.

Phenomenal !!! I couldn't be happier with Dan and all his crew. They did an excellent job I couldn't be more impressed.?Actually I was so impressed I had them not only clear by back woods but install a 20x22 Bluestone patio. Their masons were great! We hit a bit of a snag with running into some existing french drains, but Ricco Landscaping was super responsive and we agreed on a cost effective solution. Other than that we kept on budget. We'll be using them again and you should too !!

Overall, it was done nicely. My dealings with the company were good, I thought the pricing was fair, in line with other quotes. I would comment that their chipper truck leaked oil which did damage my driveway so beware if they have to park the truck on your driveway. .

They were absolutely excellent! Arrived on time, and got straight to work. We had a lot of brush that we cut down, as well as old logs that were apparently left to rot. Anything that couldn't be put into the chipper, they hauled away in the pickup truck. They were very courteous and efficient. An excellent price, hundreds of dollars below other quotes that we received. We have recommended them to others and will continue to do so!

Dan Riccio was quick to respond to my request for a quote. He had done some landscaping for a relative of mine and I was impressed with what he had done. My house is 10 years old and the current landscape was looking tired and overgrown. He arrived at my house on time, asked lots of questions to ensure he had a good idea of what I was looking for. He clearly explained the next steps he would follow which included having a landscape designer come to the house to create a blueprint of the new design. A few weeks later Dan returned with the plan and carefully walked me through it, explaining the trees and plants recommended and the overall design elements. We then walked the property and he once again showed me how the new design would look. Once we agreed on the plan we gave a deposit and about a week or so later Dan's crew arrived with a truckload of high quality trees and plants. I laughed when I came home from work and saw all the trees in my front yard because it looked like I had opened a garden center!! Over the week, the landscape crew worked tirelessly to remove the old plants and install the new ones. They arrived on time every day and worked well into the evening. They even worked on Saturday to ensure they finished the job within a week as promised. When the job was done I could not believe the transformation that had taken place. My landscape went from ho hum to absolutely awesome. I told Dan that he actually managed to exceed my expectations. I would recommend this team to others without hesitation. Dan ensures promises made are promises kept and when you are spending this kind of money you expect high quality results....and that is exactly what I got!! I should also add that Dan called multiple times to ensure everything was progressing as intended and to answer any questions I might have had. He works hard to ensure complete customer satisfaction.

In general was a decent experience. At one point the internal communication had broken down. This resulted in them showing up to our home without notice. Due to this communication never going to me from their offices, the crew showed up to find our vehie parked in the way. Had we known, we would have moved the vehicle before going off to work that day. Even though it was their mistake, we still had to wait another 2 weeks before being rescheduled. This was odd. At end of the day job was completed as promised. Will give them benefit of the doubt as mistakes do happen.

They were very efficient; great work.

We are thrilled with the results of the landscaping. We set the installation date based on assurances of our painting contractor who then actually finished exterior painting about 2 months behind schedule. Mike was so patient and accommodated this delay and we were so appreciative of his flexibility and understanding! We are looking forward to seeing the plantings in full glory in the Spring! I highly recommend Riccio Landscaping's expert and professional team and the work and expertise they put into making everything look super!

They did a very good job. The supervisor was excellent and very professional in his work. He sort of over delivered. They have a couple of Latino workers who are very experienced. They climb on the trees which may not be accessible and use ropes. He would cut a branch, tie a rope around it and lower it to the ground. This was a two days work. He made a mistake in thinking that it was a much simpler job than it was.

Dan created a landscape design for these two projects and all went brilliantly. The project was done efficiently to include usingalready established plantings to recycle and help minimize cost. There was an unforeseen problem with erosion and Dan and his crew fixed the problem and created a park-like look to what was an unsightly part of our property. One planting did not take and Dan replaced it without question. We have worked with Riccio Landscaping for a number of years and we would not consider doing business with anyone but Dan.

Their price was very reasonable.? The work was done in about 1/2 day.? Everything was completely cleaned up; they worked in?a very professional manner.? The grounds look great!

They did a professional job. Removed all debri by raking and separate team came back for stump grinding. I've never had this done so I specificied that I wanted it leveled and my front yard looks great now!

Dan is one of a kind. We have hired him several times over the past few years and his work is always excellent. This time we had two very tall trees that were dead or dying and he cleanly and efficiently got rid of them. He brought several pieces of huge equipment to cut down the trees, remove the stumps, and move the other tree. He and his crew were always there on schedule and worked steadily through.

Dan and his team are amazing. Punctual, fast, and reasonable. You can't beat Riccio's - I highly recommend their services.
