I needed an elevation certificate done quickly to make a rate lock on a refi (don't ask, annoying FEMA changing flood zone maps on me). I was referred to Gregory, called him Friday, he came and did all the work on Saturday, had all the documents for me on Tuesday first thing and gave me some great advice as to how to manage the process w/ the bank regarding the flood zone issues. Great job, 100% professional, extremely responsivess. Highly recommended.

Gregory was very professional and responsible in the entire process of staking and mapping our property in Fairfield. From the moment we hired him I knew we made the right decision. He explained the entire process to me and answered all of my questions in a very comprehensible way. Initially we wanted simply the staking of our property, but after speaking to him I realized that what we really wanted was the map he could provide as well. This was an extra cost but well-worth it (it actually will save us a ton of money in the long-run because now we won't have to pay to have the work done all over again in a few years time). He responded to emails and completed the work faster than I could have hoped, and he did an incredibly thorough job! When an issue arose with our neighbor he was as helpful as possible in dealing with the individual and providing us with the information we need to proceed to remedy the situation. When our neighbor approached him for information Gregory was polite to the man but completely loyal to us, his clients. I highly recommend Advanced Surveying.

Less than a week ago, I found Greg on Angie's List. Now, I know my exact property lines and have a sketch to back it up. Plus, Greg found out that a neighbor's shed and fence encroach on our new house...but he assured me it wasn't something to worry about, and even went over to the neighbor's house and spoke to her about it! He said she was very nice and that she agreed to move the shed and fence ASAP - I suspect this has something to do with his professionalism and kindness as well as the neighbor's personality! From the first email (which, by the way, was sent around midnight one night and responded to in less than 15 minutes), Greg was extremely professional and just nice. He didn't rush me as other contractors/surveyors tend to do, and he answered all my questions. I wasn't sure if we needed a full survey in order to safely build a fence, and he assured me that we could probably just stake the lines (which is much cheaper). I like that he didn't try to sucker me into a full survey. He was extremely responsive to all emails I sent and I like that I didn't have to call him every time I had a question. We were able to update each other through email, which is much more convenient for me. The property was staked yesterday and as I said, Greg even took it upon himself to speak to the neighbor. I couldn't have asked for an easier or more pleasant experience. As a first-time homebuyer, I was really stressed about this and I was afraid I'd have to pay $2500+ for a survey when all we wanted was to know our exact lines. This was $975 and I know that Greg will be there if I have questions or a problem arises because he has been so responsive. I highly recommend him for any surveying needs. Very good at explaining things and very quick service. You can tell he actually takes pride in his work, which I find to be rare these days - most people just care about padding their pockets!
