The site visits were done promptly and the project was completed earlier than expected. Very professional from first contact to completion. Greg is exceptionally organized and professional. From the moment I reached out he was organized and responsive with a recommendation on what type of services I did and did not need. We agreed on a price (with a detailed quote via email) and set a date for the work to be completed. Greg knew we were under time pressure, once we signed he was able to actually start the job earlier and finished everything a full week ahead of the agreed deadline. Greg really knows what he is doing, uses top of the line equipment and runs a very well organized operation. We felt he went over and above to deliver a super accurate and detailed survey on budget and ahead of time. Greg is focused on building trust and a partnership and actively encourages follow up questions and edits to make sure he delivers what is needed. I would not change anything about how Greg operates and was refreshed to find someone as professional and prompt to do the work. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

We couldn't be happier with the services Greg provided for us! We were looking to install a fence, but were unclear on our property lines, so we requested Greg's help with researching, staking, and mapping our property boundaries. We inquired with several other surveyors as well...but Greg was the only person who we could reliably get ahold of. (And more than just being responsive, he was friendly, forthcoming, and eager to answer all of our questions.) He was prompt to respond to emails and return phone calls and was available within a few weeks of our inquiry. He kept us up-to-date on everything as it was happening and made a point to walk us through every step of the process. His prices were middle of the road (a bit higher than some of the other surveyors out there), but well worth the cost!! The other guys took months to even respond to our inquiry! Don't waste your time. Just go with Greg. You'll be happy you did!!

Dealing with the city was a lengthy, frustrating process. Working with Advanced Surveying was a pleasure. Gregory was always available, responded quickly, and did whatever he could to expedite the process.

Gregory was very easy to work with and professional. He responded within hours to any inquiries and turned around the work very quickly. Most importantly he was very careful to be accurate, which was very important to us working on a small lot with strict boundaries. He knew all of the zoning regulations and the Westport zoning officer we met with was familiar with him and said he did "very good work". Zoning requested no changes to his survey. I would recommend his work without hesitation and use him again myself in the future. He makes the time to get your project completed and turns out a high quality survey at a very good price.

Gregory did the survey with his team member. He was very professional in his approach, very responsive to our needs and completed the job ahead of time. He works 7 days if he has to deliver what he promises to the clients, which was the case here. I would recommend him to all. Fantastic service!

He did the present and proposed conditions for the City of Greenwich. He did a great job and it was done on time and he even did changes on the week end.

Advanced surveying did a great job. He was very clear about what we were purchasing, and explained very thoroughly why it cost what it did. I appreciated that part of the process includes locating other property stakes and "monuments" in our neighborhood to avoid difficulties in the future. He was able to clearly mark our boundaries and explained the process that he used. He made sure we understood that we were not getting any sort of map or printout, just the stakes marking our property line. That was all we needed, and we were very satisfied with the service. s s

Great team that they have here. I needed my rear property line surveyed and staked to settle a dispute between my neighbor and I. I requested that they come sooner than planned and they came. They came out a day ahead of time (in the pouring rain) to do a little pre work and then came back today (a Saturday) to survey my line. Greg was extremely knowledgable and did his research. I highly recommend these guys!

Mike was great. Did all his homework with City Hal. Ran into a couple of snag with the city but handled it and got our property staked.

We purchased a new home in Westport, CT and wanted to have the land survey done. Our property includes wetlands and a brook and is very wooded (pretty difficult terrain to survey). After calling around, leaving messages and getting no call backs or very high estimates we were getting frustrated and disappointed. But then our luck changed - we found Advanced Surveying. JACKPOT!!! We received a very prompt reply to our inquiry, discussed scope of work and were provided with a very reasonable estimate and a time frame for completion. All work was done on time and as promised (no surprises). Everything was explained to us in great detail and very patiently. We would highly recommend Greg / Advanced Surveying to anybody and would certainly hire them again in the future. Gregory provided timely service and good work - a very detailed survey. He would always return my emails or calls within a few hours. He is more than willing to incorporate changes to make sure the client is satisfied with the end product. Definitely would recommend.

They are excellent. He was professional, punctual, reliable, and he had good rates. I was able to get the permits that I needed for a building permit. Everything that he said he would do, he did do. He explained everything to me well. This was the first time that I have used them and I heard about them from Angie's List.

I agree with these reviews- Gregory was fantastic. He was very responsive and communicative, did accurate and detailed work, and was a pleasure to work with. I highly recommend contacting Gregory with any surveying questions you have- he was very knowledgable and always communicated when and how work would be completed. To be honest, I felt the reviews I had read on Angie's List prior to hiring Gregory were too good to be true. They most definitely are not. I would give Gregory 10 stars and a AAA+++ if I could. The survey I needed performed very quickly was extremely difficult for any surveyor and quite honestly impossible for most. The area was vast, the terrain extremely difficult and included waterfront and wetland concerns, under ground issues and other encumbrances. Gregory tackled every obstacle with precision and expertise. He is excellent at communicating throughout the process and was in constant contact with me 24/7 and went above and beyond to deliver everything I needed to make an educated decision on the property purchase, continued use and future site development. Gregory is extremely professional, greatly educated and an expert in his field. He was able to meticulously survey a very difficult property with almost every possible obstacle in his way and do the job perfectly, on time and on budget. I very highly recommend his services without hesitation.

Executive Summary: Outstanding. Without hesitation I would hire him again and would instantly recommend him to anyone needing a land surveyor who wishes to have the services performed correctly the first time with exacting detail. Greg's skills make him an excellent surveyor. His promptness and professionalism allow him run an excellent business. Greg's patience in explaining the details of his findings puts him, in my opinion, on a whole other level. Finding gentlemen like Greg Kogan who are excellent at their craft is precisely the reason why I joined Angie's list in the first place. Detailed Summary: Recently purchased a property in Westport, CT and wanted to get an updated survey since the last survey filed with the town had been completed in the 50s. Sent Greg an e-mail and he responded back that evening (this is not unusual and it appears other reviewers have had similar experiences). His promptness every time may actually spoil you. He sent me an RFP which I had signed within 24 hours. Greg then spent several days painstakingly gathering his land record research which included title descriptions and surveys filed with the town from my property as well as all neighboring properties to gather as much information as possible about where the property lines are. He then took a couple hours on one day to look for certain iron pipes that in my case marked the corners of my property. He followed this up by spending much of the next day surveying the rest of the property. I assume that this is when he details the wealth of other information that is used to populate the detailed survey at the end of the process. My case is unusual in that the property description per the title, doesn't work (if you follow the indicated bearings and distances of each line eventually the lines don't intersect). Greg isn't the surveyor who will just tell you "I am right and take my word for it," but in careful detail explained to me what the issue was, how he went about resolving the problem (how he corrected it on the map), and how his numbers tie up with all neighboring surveys. Greg really went above and beyond; his patience in explaining to a first-time homeowner (till I clearly understood) how the original surveyor was slightly off in his description (and how they worked around improper calculation). Greg ultimately provided me with a map that is more accurate and also coincides with neighboring surveys and how his figures match theirs.

Absolute excellence, start to finish. I needed a survey of my approx. one-acre residential property because I'm installing a fence along my back property line, and wasn't exactly sure where the line was. I e-mailed Mr. Kogan on a Sunday night, expecting an answer during the following week. He responded that very night (Sunday!), and provided a written job proposal the very next day. We agreed on an approximate date to do the work - and then when his schedule got busy, he came out and did the survey on a Sunday rather than break his promise to me or any of his other customers! He staked all my property lines clearly. I didn't request (or pay for) a formal survey map, but he gave me a great survey sketch for documentation. I obtained another proposal on this work prior to hiring Mr. Kogan (I intended to get three, but my interaction with Mr. Kogan was so positive that I hired him without feeling the need to get a third proposal). His price was actually better than the other proposal, and I doubt I'd have gotten such good service anywhere else. I would hire him again in a heartbeat.

It was smooth from the start. He arrived when promised, finished on time and recommended an excellent colleague when we needed additional work (soil testing).
