Paul turned two very good quality solid wood free-standing bookcases that we already owned, built a base for the bottom, put them together and trimmed them to build them in. He did an excellent job. We were very happy with his work, highly recommend; would hire him again.

Paul did a great job. The wainscoting he did up my staircase looks beautiful. Paul is extremely reliable and a good communicator. I look forward to him helping me with future projects and can highly recommend him to others.

Paul is great. His craftsmanship is meticulous and he is also very handy. It seems like he can fix anything. I had him notch the corner of our kitchen windowsill a little bit to make room for an electrical switch plate underneath; the electrician wouldn't do it and we didn't want to mangle our woodwork by attempting it ourselves. A small job but in a high visibility area (near kitchen sink), it is flawless. He also installed built-in bookcases in our old house and they were beautifully made. Paul is a great carpenter to have in your contacts. We will definitely use him again.
Description of Work: Installed railing & balusters on small outdoor balcony, also a few other small things (shaved interior doors which weren't closing properly, notched woodwork to make room for electrical plates).

It went well. They came on a very short notice which I really appreciated. They fixed a variety of things and they gave us advice about how to fix things. They fixed the banister that had been very poorly repaired with a metal bracket. They did all the wood of the banister. It was very nice quality carpentry. We have very old windows that can't open and close and they made it happen to open and close and give us advice about what or not we should replace them with new windows.
Description of Work: We did use Ferreri Carpentry for carpentry and woodworking service.

As part of a kitchen renovation in our 1906 house, we had the casings for all of the doors and widows removed, stripped (of at least 8 coats of paint) and milled to match the trim in the rest of the house (the kitchen trim was square stock, unlike the mill work in other rooms). Because the casings were custom milled and some of the wood needed to be replaced, putting everything back together was a bit of a puzzle that required a skilled carpenter. Paul had done a beautiful job on a custom mantel for us a few years ago and we were confident he would do the job right. When his bid came in under a home improvement contractor we had used for some of the other kitchen work, the choice was easy. Paul did a high quality job and did it quickly. A couple unexpected problems came up, how to integrate the old woodwork with the new cabinetry and the like, and he solved them without trouble. We wanted baseboard to match the style in the rest of the house and the wood in the kitchen. He found wood that nicely matches the old wood in the kitchen and found someone to custom mill the baseboard cap to match. As with any restoration project, there are a few things that did not come out perfectly, but I doubt anyone not involved with the project would notice. All-in-all, it came very well.
Description of Work: Paul reinstalled old trim on the 4 doors and 4 windows in our kitchen, replaced the damaged sills on two windows and installed baseboard with cap throughout.
