+ -1 moreDespite Steve's prompt reply and on time next day quote appointment, I have nothing good to say about the way he conducts business. He quoted me $1,000, a figure over 3xs the going rate, and he stressed how desperate I would be by the upcoming weekend with rain pouring into my kitchen. That's called price gouging and it is an illegal business practice. I ended up using a recommended contractor who did the same repair for my brother-in-law and nephew for around $300. He sent a crew member to my home in Colchester from West Hartford that same afternoon. The job was done in about an hour for $275!!! Not only did I pay him in cash for the job but I gave him more than he asked for and I gave his crew member a $20 tip. Oh, and also, I am going to hire him to replace all the windows in my home! That's what you get when you try to take advantage of someone by using sleazy business tactics. DO NOT HIRE BOB & SONS!

+ -1 moreMy son purchased a house with a "leaky" skylight. 24 hours after closing it was leaking into the dining room! Called Steve at Bob & Sons Roofing (on a Sunday!)and he was there within 2 hours. Went on the roof and evaluated the situation and gave an estimate. Until they make their final decision he has solidly tarped the roof and gave them solid advice on what to do. Steve was kind, honest and very fair. He took the time to explain all the details since they are brand new homeowners. Looking forward to having him complete the job. Stay tuned.....
