My basement is dry. After work was completed, I still had water coming through my walls. I called and they came back to put a waterproof/plastic sheet up with tape that tied into the system they installed. We will see how long that lasts but for now the basement is dry. With that being said, everything that was in my basement is ruined. Everything is covered in about an inch of concrete dust. My wife’s inventory for her business is ruined. Our Christmas decorations are ruined. They put up plastic to protect our stuff but that clearly did nothing. Definitely clear out any belongings you want to use in the future and expect an inch of concrete dust when done. Thus, a bit of a mixed review.

What a nightmare!!!! Charles is the owner of the company, when he came over to pitch the sale he spent more than half the time bad mouthing BUDGET DRY basements, saying how bad they were and he had to sue them because they were trying to rip people off with a new system that didn't work and he ended up alone, I thought it was very strange and unprofessional. Then he went on saying he was old school and did everything right and he always cared about the customers and that customer service was his main priority, oh boy was I in for a surprise!! The guys started the job at 10am, they were extremely sloppy, they were jack hammering the floor in the basement with the door wide open, then I noticed my counter was full of dust, I have a 2 and a 4 year old that were eating in the dining room while this was happening, I went downstairs and told them that it was crazy that they were creating this amount of dust and left the door open. At the end of each day they never cleaned the hallway on their way out on both days, I couldn't be more disappointed and surprised by the lack of professionalism. Charles came over the house to get remaining balance and was making excuses for his guys, saying that this is a dirty job, go figure! How hard is it to close the door and put plastic on the door so dust doesn't go everywhere? Should be standard procedure. On the same day I gave him the remaining balance and started mowing the lawn I noticed that he tied one of the sump pumps to the existing system(like we had talked about) I originally had but the other sump pump he simply had it going outside uphill so the water could go right back in the basement!?!?! I mean come on!!(see picture) We had talked about having them both in the existing system, it took them more than a week to come back and tie the other pipe to the original system, then when they filled the hole on the side of my house one of his guys put a rock covering it and said not to remove for a couple of days, when I removed the rock after a couple of days whatever material they used was falling apart(see picture). After more than two and a half months of getting my text messages and phone calls ignored by Charles he finally answered the phone and when I started telling him how disappointed I was in the whole process he started calling me "dude" like I was his high school friend, I said don't call me "dude" that's not okay, he then hung up on me. The amount of disrespect and unprofessionalism I have experienced with Charles is something I have never seen before, as a business owner myself I couldn't imagine treating my clients this way. I hope that this system they installed never fails because if it does I know it will be hell to deal with Charles again. Charles is the type of person that always has an excuse up his sleeve, never takes ownership of any mistakes. As I am writing this review the 3 inch hole they made on the side of my house still there because he refused to come back and always keep

I am not happy with the work completed, I have tried to contact this company for the past 2 weeks, was told someone would come and look at it but no one has arrived, when I asked for a date they would come I have gotten no response. They laid plastic on the floor of the crawl space which is so irregular and lumpy no water will ever flow to the sump pumps. I contact them almost daily about this and have received 1 email 1-1/2 weeks ago, no one has showed up.

I was initially discouraged by the hard sell approach but the quote was a good value so I went with QDB. Installation all went well and system is up and running. Everything was as promised.

Charlie inspected our basement within a few days of calling him. He was knowledgeable and helpful, explaining what was happening and what needed to be done for our basement. He and his staff were professional, punctual and completed the work timely and as expected. They addressed any concerns and stand by their work. I would highly recommend them!!

We had three excellent companies to pick from and went with Charlie, since his walk through and recommendations were more thorough. The team he sent to do the work were very professional, accommodating and helpful. They even stayed into the evening on day 2 to finish the job. Since then, no water in the basement!!! Thank you to Home Advisor for offering this service.

The most important positive outcome from the waterproofing is that I have not seen any visible water in my basement, especially on heavy rainy days. The negatives are due to the contractors not showing professional courtesy nor respect for ones home. After the first day on the job, my basement door was left open as well as dirt and pipes at the very end of the steps in which I tripped over that could have been swept back to prevent a fall. Both serious safety issues. On the second day on the job the workers did not arrive until 1 pm. I was told on both days arrival time would be by 10 am. There was no courtesy phone call and when I spoke to the office no one new their location. An important doctors appointment was missed due to the wait. Clean up was decent but not perfect. A few Mountain Due soda bottles were left on the floor as well as pieces of gravel. Also, Charles as a courtesy added to the contract that the basement floor cement cracks would be filled but on completion of the job it was not done. I reminded the contractor and and in 15 short minutes some of the cracks were filled, not all.

We purchased a 100+ year old house six months ago that had an existing French drain system. The system was old and needed to be redone. We called several waterproofing companies, each gave us a different assessment of what they thought was the best way to waterproof our home, but everyone else sounded unsure and as if they were guessing at the best plan. Charlie, who is the owner of this company, came down to our home himself and was the only one out of all the contractors who sounded confident and knowledgeable. We’ve had the system in place for four months now and have had a few rainstorms in which the system worked as planned. Yesterday we had over 4 inches of rain, which is a lot to accumulate especially all in one day. I’m happy to say our basement is dry and that the system is working perfectly. I also want to mention that they worked with us and came up with a custom plan on how to run the discharge pipes from the sump pits. They also came back after the system was installed to add an inch and a half of concrete to our brittle basement floor. We went from hating our basement to it now being a dry and great storage place. Throughout these past four months we’ve contacted Charlie several times with “new homeowners type questions” regarding the system and waterproofing in general. He always answered every question and explained the details to us so we understood it. We would highly recommend Charlie and his company and hope we would never have to call him again, but know that if we did, he would be there and able to help.

They don't put back walls if they have to be ripped out to dig. So plan on paying someone else to put back your walls.

It took 3 days since my home is older but the job was done well and won't have problems with my basements flooding when it rains. Which I have had that problems over the years so now I won't have to worry anymore.
