 + 0 moreMy grandmother has been using Newtown Garbage Removal forever for her trash removal service and when I took over to handle her estate (I live in NY, she is in Sandy Hook, CT) I needed to hire someone to do the lawn-care. I called Mr. Pendergast (owner of Newtown Garbage Removal) first to see if they could recommend someone. I was pleasantly surprised when I found out the William Pendergast Jr. had his own lawn care service and since then we have been set up for automatic maintenance of our lawn, which includes mowing and edging. With this they come about once a week and are neat and professional. In the Fall I have them clean up the leaves a couple of times (we have a lot of trees) and in the winter they do our snow plowing, sand/salt and shovel our walks. He has all the regular lawn equipment and is capable of handling small sized up to large, corporate lawns. It was important to me to find someone reliable and that could make sure my elderly grandmother had a safe place to walk. William (Bill) exceeded my expectations and has also been a help to me when I needed references for a handyman to build a ramp for my grandmother to walk on. Recently I called Bill to arrange for a dumpster delivery (through Newtown Garbage Removal) and he delivered it the same day! Bill is a very down-to-earth and pleasant person to deal with and I am comfortable with calling him at the last minute if I need to. I would highly recommend him.
Description of Work: Lawn mowing, edging, leaf clean up, snow plowing, salt/sand, shoveling walks, Spring clean ups ( sticks, branches, stones that were moved during plowing). My grandmother's property is about .62 acres Lawn mowing is $35/each time Hedge/bushing trimming is about $100/each time - we have a lot of bushes Leaf removal is about $250.00 - we have a lot of leafy trees Plowing and walks is about $118.00/each time during the worst snow fall of 2011
