Mr. Pickering responded to me very quickly, gave me a price and started the job. Bad weather for a few days had delayed the job but it was finished as soon as it cleared. I would definitely recommend him. I am going to have him come to do some other work on my home.

We had a leak in the downstairs bathroom. Not only did he respond immediately but came within an hour, after stopping to pick up supplies needed. Very reasonable and quick reponse.

Steve was very responsive from the first time I emailed the company. He was able to come to my house within a few days and provided very valuable insights. His approach was very professional and we felt very comfortable that he would do a high quality job. His great ratings in Angie's list provided us also with confidence on the work to be performed. Unfortunately the cost of the repairs needed exceeded what we could spend at this time, and were not able to work with him this time.

Steve at Pickering Construction was friendly, very responsive and professional. He arrived on time, supervised the work he did not do personally, and insured that proper clean up was done after the work was completed. We were very pleased with the work done, and would not hesitate to use Steve and his company again.

Used Angie's List to find someone, came across Steve. Set appointment, he had to cancel initially, but was very timely in doing so (wasn't like he called that morning and said oh, I'm not showing). We rescheduled, he was very punctual and neat in his work. Going to have him do some more :)

We contacted Steve about re-doing our laundry closet as well as obtaining a couple quotes for some other items around the house. In the laundry closet, the floor needed to be replaced (just plywood) and the drywall all needed to be replaced, as well as the pipes. Steve gave a prompt estimate and date he could complete the work, and satisfied on both fronts we hired him to come in. He arrived on time and started work right away, laying down drop cloths to avoid tracking dirt/dust in our home. He replaced the flooring in the closet as well as the sheet rock, removed the shelves and cabinets to replace the drywall, and then re-hung the cabinets and some new shelves. He caulked/taped around the cracks, applied drywall mud and sanded for us. We said we would do the painting. He also updated the plumbing from despicable pipes sticking out of the floor to a nice anchored one-valve shutoff for the washer, and then helped us by putting the washer and dryer in the closet. We are 100% satisfied with the work Steve did, and his friendly demeanor, and look forward to hiring him again in the future.

Steve and his team were very responsive to our needs. This was our first major remodeling, so we had a lot of questions on what materials we needed to get and the options we had. They worked hard, got the job done when we needed it, and answered all of our questions promptly. This type of job creates a lot of trash and dust, and we were impressed with the effort they took removing the trash and cleaning. He even followed up after the job was completed to make sure there were no loose ends. The result is a beautiful bathroom.

Steve and Eric absolutely killed it. Really efficient, knowledgeable, organized, and got the job done right. They got to the house and realized they had to change their plans as they learned more about the problems, but they didn't even skip a beat. Steve has a deep background in plumbing, so he knew exactly what needed to be done. Damaged walls and ceiling removed, fixed and patched, all leaks fixed, and project completed in under 6 hours. Incredibly impressed. I will most definitely be using Steve for any work I need done in the future.

Steve and his crew did a great job. There were a few minor glitches due to the mix of the paint, but Steve did everything he could to fix it and make it all right. We discovered a couple of walls that did not look evenly painted. I called Steve back and he came within a couple of days and repainted the 2 walls. The paint being improperly mixed was not his fault but he came with a brand new can of paint and now it looks beautiful. Steve and his crew were very professional and did a great job. We will call Steve again if we need work done in the future.

Steve and Eric were a real pleasure to work with. Steve responded to my inquiry right away and was able to schedule a visit for an estimate within a few days. I unfortunately had several areas of sheetrock and baseboards that had to be removed in my kitchen and a bathroom due to mold remediation. This required a section of my kitchen cabinets to be temporarily removed as well. Steve did that first so that the other company could take care of the mold issue, and then returned to do all of the repair work. They worked diligently for several full days in a row to rebuild everything, and managed to work on both areas simultaneously. Everything was restored, down to replicating the baseboards in my kitchen to match the original ones. Steve does an excellent job trouble shooting, and maintains a solution-driven approach to his work. They were very receptive to my questions, and respectful of my home. I look forward to working with them on more interesting projects going forward!

I am so pleased with the work Steve and Eric did for us. The bathroom renovation came out beautiful and I was very impressed by their professionalism and quality of work. I especially appreciated the time they took to consult with us and discuss details with us as they were being completed. They took the time to answer any question we had and offered many useful suggestions. The work was completed on time as promised and they took great care to clean up each day before they left. I am very satisfied and would definitely use them again for any new projects!

My front porch needed needed 2 new posts and 16 foot railing due to rotting. Steve came out then next day after I called to give me a free estimate. The estimate was very competitive compared to other local contractors. Steve followed my instructions on the specific stain and material. The new post and railing looks much better than my original deck. I am a very happy customer and will use Pickering Construction services in the future.

Steven and his assistant Eric worked professionally and in a timely manner. They are courteous and thorough. The bathroom was completed in under 3 weeks time. I highly recommend Pickering Construction.

We have used Steve for several jobs in the past, always with good results. I asked him if he would be interested in handling the labor to renovate our small master bath. He stopped by to look it over and get an idea of the scope of work involved, and promptly emailed an estimate that weekend. Price was very fair. So we purchased the tile, fixtures, vanity, etc., then Steve arrived to begin work. In 3 days, as estimated, he was done, and the workmanship was outstanding, the transformation amazing. As always, he is great to work with; reliable, friendly, skillful and punctual. Always stays in touch and lets you know when he'll be working. After completing the bath, we had Steve return to repair some loose flashing on our chimney, which was leaking, cut out and replace a section of water damaged ceiling, and paint the whole ceiling. Looking at it now, there is no sign of any further leaks, and the ceiling looks brand new. We have several projects coming up in 2013 that hopefully Steve will be doing for us.

The work went very well, they were neat, careful, and meticulous. They arrived with several color choices of caulk, and were professional in their execution and had obviously given careful thought to how the job could best be performed. They spread out drop cloths over the oriental rug, and were extremely careful of my antique furniture. Courteous and responsive. I was impressed with their knowledgeable and intelligent approach to the task.

First of all , my initial call was answered promptly- a plus. He gave an estimate for all the items I listed, we agreed to a day and time. They arrived early, and completed the work, and we made arrangements for another day. All in all, a very positive experience . I found Pickering Construction to be reliable, professional and I am so relieved to have found trustworthy people to work on my home repairs

We made quite a number of changes and Steve was able to adapt quickly and effectively. Right in the middle of the project, we decided to change the size of the windows. He gave us all the information and pricing and was able to remove the smaller windows and replace them with larger ones. We also changed locations of interior doors and walls. Pickering Construction was professional from beginning to end.

We have a large window over the front door. We have been repairing it ourselves for years until it got to the point we needed a professional to inspect and advise us as to the extent of the repairs needed. We had concerns that the rot may have been more extensive than just the trim boards. As it turned out Steve needed to replace the rotted sill, two vertical boards and caulk and paint after completing the repair. We found Pickering Construction LLC through Angies List. Steve promptly returned my initial call and came over right away to look at the job. He called me shortly after our initial meeting to give me a price. We hired him to do the job. Steve was very professional, prompt and courteous. He kept us informed on the progress of the job and completed the job in a timely fashion. We were very impressed by Steve's confidence and competence in getting the job done.
