Pickering did a FABULOUS job. My dock re-surfacing was a challenge given the layout of my home and getting materials in place, and Steve and his crew tackled this challenge with ease and the my dock is looking great.The railing I needed installed was required by my insurance company, not a cost i wanted to incur, but necessary.Steve and his crew did a great job in matching the materials and the "look and feel' of my decks.I HIGHLY recommend that you give Steve a call if you have project.

Steve did a great job with the repairs. He was quick and on time. We did a walk through before the work and then after to make sure that I was satisfied with his work. I would recommend him to my friends and neighbors.

Steve and his crew were always very punctual, flexible and professional. With a house full of pets and kids, they went out of their way to make it comfortable for us during the work. Steve's painter is incredible. I was very impressed with his abilities and the final product in each room. Pickering is also very trustworthy. I had no problem giving them the keys to my home. I will definitely be doing future projects with Pickering. They are simply the best around.

I would highly recommend Steve. He is honest and responsive when you need to speak with him, which gives you a positive comfort level upfront. Steve and Eric (co-worker) started each day on time. The work completed in our home is high quality and Steve clearly takes pride in his craftsmanship. The repaired walls look great as well as the new patio and storm doors.

We left it to Steve to pick out a mid-range price door, and he got us a beautiful one. Installed the door, and demolished the shed, no problem! We actually have Steve and his team scheduled to do MULTIPLE other jobs around the house, from replacing windows, sinks and countertops, to expanding the kitchen. This was just the first job of many, and we were VERY pleased with the quality.

I have had a couple jobs done by this company before and was always satisfied. Steve was quick to reply to my request for a quote, gave me a detailed quote sheet and did good work for the quoted cost. They started work in a few days and it took four days to do it. I'm very satisfied with the quality of the work and the clean up. I always think of this company when I need work done on the house.

Steve ordered the doors. We paid up front, as we wanted the deduction in 2013. Now, that IS trust. The windows went in perfectly and the guys are a joy to have around. When they leave, I miss them! Thank you Steve and Eric.

The guys always show up when they tell you they will and they do the work perfectly and leave the area sparkling. They are sooo good I was hesitant to leave a review. I want to make sure they have time for me. Thank you Steve and Eric.. Trustworthy and competent. I have found no one I can trust as much.

This is the second project I have had Steve and his team handle. Sent him some pictures, he gave me an estimate, then came in and handled everything. Had a few extra costs through the process, but they were all legitimate. His team is clean, and everything is very professional. Showed up when he said was going to, and d*** to they work fast. He has been real busy lately so be patient if he doesn't respond right away. But his work is well worth it.

Steve's work was well done. He was punctual, completed the task nicely, and cleaned up the area very well. I think the most frustrating part of the repairs had to do with communication. We were using a email address that I rarely use which tripped up communications! I finally gave Steve my other email and things went much more smoothly. As a example of how good Steve is, when he first came out to view the problem area, he promptly went out to his truck (twice!) and tried to immediately raise the front door threshold! I was very impressed with his kindness. I would definitely ask Steve back if other problems arise.

After numerous agreements from Pickering to contact me (Pickering had my email address and two phone numbers -- both with voice mail) to set up a meeting to discuss a potential remodeling job, I have given up. Their non-responsiveness is unprofessional at best and simply rude. Too bad, as I thought the comments on this site spoke of good work on their part.

So far in 2013 I've worked with Pickering Construction twice and have been extremely pleased with quality, price and professionalism. I will contact Pickering Construction for any and all jobs within their area of expertise. Owning a condo in one state and living in another can be challening from a trust perspective as well as communication between an owner and contractor. Steve is extremely easy to work with, listens to his customers and works with their budget, needs and priorities. Fantastic job again Pickering Construction, I appreciate your due diligence and hard work.

Steve and his helper showed up as scheduled and went straight to work. Tore out the old door, reframed the opening to meet the new specs and installed the new Anderson slider. There was some rot in the sill which was repaired and adjustments to the cedar siding which was taken care of. It looks great and the door works perfectly. He cleaned up the area and took away the old door and all the debis that went with it as well as the packaging that comes with a new door. An excellent job and I would surely hire him again in the future.

Steve was prompt and professional. He and his assistant were very capable and respectful. Came on time when they said they would come. There were more than a dozen different repair jobs needed on the exterior of my house. He came up with some excellent suggestions for the repairs to reduce the need future maintenance in those areas that get the most weather beaten. They cleaned up the area each day. I will hire him again and would recommend him to my friends.

Steve and his crew were very professional and pleasant. They performed in a timely manner and did everything they were asked to do. They are a good group.

Steve was great. He came to the house to give me an estimate for installing a door just inside the BILCO door in our basement. I was concerned about using low (or no) emitting materials and he was helpful in that regard. He ordered the door and came when scheduled. He finished on time and was neat. The door looks great and is well built.

We bought the house 4 years ago and after all the storms the house was looking rather dirty. I tried washing the house but there were places I could not reach. I contacted Steve and was able to wash my house. He did a great job and was under budget. I must say that Steve is one of the most honest people that I have had the pleasure of contracting. His quality of work, dependability, pricing and honesty all make for a contractor that I will readily hire again.

We were thrilled that we chose Pickering Construction. Our master bathroom came out beautifully with fantastic craftsmanship and great attention to detail. It came out better than we had hoped. Steve is an awesome person to work with . He takes such care and shows such commitment in every aspect of the job. I am thrilled that I chose Pickering Construction for the renovation of a bathroom in a condo unit that I own in New Milford, CT. I had a specific budget that I had to work with and Steve listened to my priorities and goals for what I wanted to be done and what needed to be done. He replaced sheetrock, put in a new fiberglass shower, toilet, vanity, floor, and even painted. He was diligent in doing the research to get all that I wanted to accomplish within that budget. He explained to me what was realistic and gave me options. I live outside of the area and was treated with the level of honesty and integrity that I don't believe could have been surpassed by a life long friend in the industry.
