Description of Work: We had the lighting in our garage upgraded by Pickering and were again very happy with their work. This is the third job we've had done by them this year and have been very pleased with them.

Description of Work: I called them over two days, on two different numbers and he never returned my calls.

Description of Work: We had our concrete front porch covered over with decking, and a porch railing installed. We were very happy with the job that Pickering Construction did and have hired them to do more work for us.

Description of Work: Called and left a voice mail with my name & two phone numbers. Also, description of work I needed done. Over a week and has still not returned my call. Extremely unprofessional !

Description of Work: I left several messages for Steve requesting quotes for a variety of work we need performed at our house. It took several weeks for him to respond since he was extremely busy, but once we made an appt for him to come to the house for an estimate, he was exactly on time and very efficient in gathering our information. We decided to delay the work for a few weeks since we had an emergency situation come up with our septic and needed to shift funds towards that first.

Description of Work: Deck repairs and shed removal

Description of Work: Steve was prompt and professional. He and his assistant were very capable and respectful. Came on time when they said they would come. There were more than a dozen different repair jobs needed on the exterior of my house. He came up with some excellent suggestions for the repairs to reduce the need future maintenance in those areas that get the most weather beaten. They cleaned up the area each day. I will hire him again and would recommend him to my friends.

Description of Work: He only e-mailed me a couple of times, wanted to do an estimate during my 1/2hour lunch. I asked if he could come by after my work hours, 5pm or on a Saturday and never heard from him again.

Description of Work: Very personable young guy looked over the job and gave a reasonable estimate, but had to wait a while to do job. By the third day into the job, he said it was much bigger than he thought and pulled out, billing me for time spent. For me, money and most importantly time was wasted as I had to start over with another painter. He should have suggested another bid, or not charged me, but he refused to be involved further and billed me. I paid but regretted it after and felt since he had looked over the work for quite a long time and then caused me to wait until the season was almost over, he should have continued, especially since I didn't hold him to the original estimate.
