From the pre-project responsiveness, quickly prepared estimates, flexible scheduling, concern about trees and tree roots along the edge of the driveway to the careful and efficient removal of the old driveway, re-grading, re-contouring of the pea stone area, and laying the new asphalt, the Circle team was thoughtful, detailed, and a pleasure to work with. Throughout the process, Circle provided sage counsel and was attentive to detail. Yes, we're talking about a driveway, but with this seasoned and artfully choreographed team, it was home improvement at its finest.

Description of Work: Circle paved the driveway of my 35-year old house. The driveway has always been gravel and had been regraveled only once so the base was thin in some places. The contract called for the driveway to have a 6" base before paving and I was very surprised when no gravel was added during the preparation phase. Another surprise came when no one on the crew was aware of a grading/drainage requirement I had described in detail both at the time of the quote and during final discussions prior to the crew coming to do the preparation work. If I had not been present during the entire paving process, the drainage problem - a primary reason for paving the driveway - would still exist. | |All of the work was done in a professional manner. Every crew member knew his job and the paving went very smoothly. The finished driveway looks fabulous. Of course it is still so new that it remains "really black". The test will be how it looks in a few years. Circle repaved my neighbor's driveway several years ago and it still looks good, which was one reason I chose Circle.

 + -1 moreI had contacted Joe Goodell from Circle Asphalt Paving through their website. Joe called back immediately and we set up a plan for a free estimate. He arrived at exactly when he said he would. We walked around the driveway and he explained exactly what the plan would be and when he could get it done. He marked out the area with spray paint. This was on a Sunday. The following day, his crew arrived and dug out the old driveway and replaced it with gravel. Exactly one week later they came back and paved it. My house looks completely different now. It is amazing how much a driveway, done well, can change the look of your property. I have hired people in the past to work on the house but I must say that Circle Asphalt really raises the bar for a job well done. Thank you Joe!
