Not good. He was not knowledgable of the LG model. He was unacquainted with how to open the panel containing the dispenser. He was unresponsive to phone calls and would not pick up at home unless a cell phone was used ( without caller ID). He did not keep appointments and claimed that he and quot;forgotand quot;.

Terribly!
Description of Work: I had a humidifier that was not working properly. I called Donley Appliance to have a look at the appliance. When Donley appliance showed, we turned the unit on and it seemed to be working okay. I told him that it will work for a while then start making weird noises. Donley proceeded to tell me that to replace the condenser the cost would be more then the unit was worth. The man was at my home for about a half-hour, and charged me $85.00 for a service call. To me, highway robbery. Donley Appliance will never set foot in my home again.

Steve was called to repair a very old dryer that I was sure was done for. It was not: he diagnosed it as needing a new bearing and had the part already in his van. Moving the washer, dryer was not part of my initial call, as I thought it would take 2 men. It did not . He disconnected everything , got a hand truck and strap from his van, moved both appliances to the basement, hooked them up, got a new vent hose from his van, and gave each appliance a test run. I was impressed that he keeps supplies of so many parts in his van. Some service people seem to need to make trips out for parts, delaying the work. Steve is very focused on the work and does not spend a lot of time chatting.( a plus in my opinion). Cost for all $ 143. Worth every cent and I would definitely recommend him.
Description of Work: He replaced a rear bearing on a very old dryer. He unhooked both a washer and dryer from the kitchen area and moved both to the basement. He hooked up the various hoses and installed a new vent hose for the dryer. Then he ran a test of both appliances to make sure all was well.

I have had Mr. Donley come to our home on many occasions in the pas 5-6 years. He listens to the problem and begins to fix it right away. No time wasted. He cleans up afterward and always is in a good mood. I highly recommend Mr. Donley to work on your large appliances.
Description of Work: The last time Mr. Donley came to the house, I believe it was to repair the dryer. Other times he's come to repair the washing machine. He has repaired my dishwasher also. I always think of him first when a repair needs to made.

Mr. Donley is prompt, but the original problem -- one cycle was not operating -- is still not operating. I am able to bypass this and use another cycle to dry my clothes. And I just noticed the vent, which was fine before the repair is now torn at the base where it connects to the dryer. Two visits ended up costing me $130.00 I would not use him again.
Description of Work: First visit was on 1/17/10. My dryer was not drying on a particular cycle. On this service, Mr. Donley said the problem was a loose wire and charged $85. After he left, I found the dryer still was not drying, so I called him again and he returned on 1/25/10 and said it was a sensor and installed a new sensor. The cycle that was giving me a problem is still not operating, but I am able to use a different cycle to dry the clothes. The second visit cost me $45.00. Mr. Donley never wrote out a work order or receipt indicating what service was performed. After the second service he was supposed to return later that day to check if a load of clothes had dried properly. He never returned as stated or called. I happened to check the back of my dryer today (2/24/10) and noticed that the vent was separated/torn at the bottom where it connects to the dryer. This was in fine condition before Mr. Donley serviced the dryer. Perhaps with all the movement and his removing the back of the dryer, the vent was damaged. I do not know for sure and can't accuse him. However, it was fine before the repair.
