Working with Design by The Jonathans was a wonderful experience from beginning to end! The timeline, process and expectations were all explained to us right from the beginning which was very helpful. Working with our designer Michelle was fantastic. She worked with us from beginning to end to develop a dream kitchen that was functional and gorgeous! Michelle guided us on our shopping trips and picked out the perfect wallpaper and much more! Anyone interested in undertaking a major renovation will be in great hands with Design by The Jonathans.

Seamless from start to finish. Monica was friendly, competent and so very patient every step of the way. My result is a beautiful new family room that I could not have envisioned without her.

Working with Lana Nguyen from Design by the Jonathan’s has been nothing short of an amazing process, from initial concept to end. It was a true partnership. The level of detail and expertise that Lana brought to the project was unparalleled, without compromising on our wants and needs for the space. She transformed our bathroom (a master bath gut reno that needed a ton of work) into a serene haven, one of the most gorgeous rooms I have ever seen. Throughout the process, Lana and her team were available to answer questions and deal with issues that came up during the construction phase, and often checked in to make sure that everything was going just right. I can’t emphasize enough how important it is to work with true professionals, and Lana and her team were just that. The bathroom is a dream space, came out even better than we initially envisioned, and to say that we are obsessed with it is a true understatement. We look forward to working with Lana on future projects, and recommend Design by the Jonathan’s with the utmost confidence.

As first time suburban homeowners whose previous home was a small apartment in New York City, we knew immediately that we would need help decorating. I reached out to Design by Jonathans online and heard back from them instantly. Our first phone discussion left me knowledgeable about the process and how we would work together. I was feeling overwhelmed with having several empty rooms - no furniture, no rugs, nothing but Jonathan reassured me that he would lead us through the process step by step. And that's what they did! Brilliant, humorous, talented, patient, trustworthy, flexible are all adjectives I'd use to describe Jonathan during the time spent with him. He went above and beyond - answering texts about bar stools, patiently scrolling long internet pages to find the perfect pillows/rugs/wall hangings and answering every email promptly. He was always on time for our appointments and was always prepared. I think he was great at finding pieces that both appealed to what my husband and I both liked. I'm sure this isn't an easy task. He was filled with lots of great advice and we trusted him when he said 'If you don't love it now, you won't like it later. Let's keep looking.' We would have been lost without him. We have some beautiful spaces in our new home thanks to his hard work and keen eye. I can't recommend him enough. He also is talented in the lighting / audio space as well as it was his suggestion we add several more ceiling lights to the dark living room. Wow, what a difference. He respected our budget as well and never pushed us. I'm thankful for the experience and have received so many compliments on our new home.

Jonathan was a huge help with a major bathroom remodel that we'd been putting off for years! He not only designed the project, but brought in contractors (also amazing) that he worked well with, gave me contacts for related work (all were excellent) and assisted us through every step of the way. We ventured out on a few shopping trip days which I usually dread, but he was very organized, prepared and sensitive to time constraints. In our experience, his role goes well beyond a traditional interior designer. Our project has now come to a very successful end, we are thrilled and will definitely work with Jonathan again for future projects.

Our first meeting with Jonathan went exceedingly well! He listened closely to what we wanted and was able to produce 3D renderings of our reconfigured bathroom space within a few days. After a few minor tweaks, it looked exactly as we wanted. Jonathan came with us for a day of shopping for granite, tile and bathroom fixtures. We thought it was going to be a challenge because we wanted to match the existing granite and sink fixtures, but with Jonathan’s help it was much easier than we thought. He was very professional and helpful throughout the entire process, from concept to completion, and was very responsive to all of our questions and requests. We would highly recommend Jonathan and would hire him again without reservation.

Jonathan was friendly and professional. He made himself available for me immediately and was right on time for our appointments. He listened to my wishes and started giving me ideas and suggestions right away. I loved that he was hands on and was willing to help me rearrange my furniture during our first meeting. The place already looked better by the time he left. He sent me some suggestions and stayed in constant contact via email and phone until the project was complete. I'm very pleased.

I had an idea of what I wanted but Jonathan came shopping with me and offered options I would never have come up with myself. I am very happy with how the dining room turned out. It is lovely, unique, and comfortable. I am working with him now on redoing bathrooms. His rates are extremely reasonable and he is fun to work with!

I feel fortunate that I hired Jonathan. He is very professional, an excellent communicator, and very friendly. We had just moved to a new home, and I had no idea what I wanted for new furniture. Jonathan was patient with my indecisiveness, and extremely helpful in pointing me in the right direction and helping me zero in on final choices when I was ready to do so. It was remarkable that he could see inside my head, so to speak, as he guided me to make decisions that suited my contemporary taste. I emailed him very frequently with rug or fabric samples to look at, and he was always gracious about responding with specific comments on why each was suitable or not. He found me a very modern lighting piece which I never would have found myself, and he took all the wall art that I had and miraculously grouped them into the perfect combinations for each room. He also found me a reasonable but excellent electrician, a shade person, and a reupholstery person. I have no doubt that your experience will be similar to the excellent one that I have had with Jonathan. .

It was a pleasure to work with Jonathan. He has good people skills, keeps good records, and uses good contractors. He completed the project on time and on budget. These satisfied homeowners highly recommend Design by the Jonathans.
