Better Home Improvements (Rob O'Keefe and team) was initially contracted to repair a slate roof but soon after I engaged them to repair 2 bathroom plumbing leaks and patch and paint damaged ceilings. All work was completed professionally and in a timely manner. Rob is knowledgable, honest, reliable and a pleasure to work with. He even undertook certain bonus projects free of charge. We hired Rob Oâ Keefe and his team for a second major project this summer. The project included the following: a) power washing all shingles down to their original colors b) washing all windows and screens c) replacing all missing and damaged shingles d) sealing, painting and staining the whole exterior of the house including trims and 3 garage doors. e) masonry repairs on large flagstone patio and stairs. Focused on correcting its pitch and installing new drains f) repairing decorative and retaining walls that had loose rocks and stones Our experience with Rob has been consistently outstanding. He supported the projects with daily job site visits and communicated regularly with us. He would text daily while we were traveling with progress reports and suggestions. His onsite crew varied from 2 to a dozen depending on the stage of the project. They were all punctual and highly professional. Despite major wind damage during a freak storm that paralyzed our community for almost a week with limited power and road access, Rob and his team were able to resume work promptly and maintain the project essentially on time and on budget. We strongly recommend Rob and his team for similar type projects. Rob is resident of Fairfield County, with an established track record and familiarity with state and county regulations. His local knowledge was a great plus.

Rob is a personable, honest, and sincere person. That is singularly important since homeowners tend not to be experts and must rely on the contractor to do what is best for the house, whether it is the quality of the materials used or the nature of the work that needs to be done. I have told Rob I am happy to speak with any of his prospective customers.

Rob is attentive and in constant communication. He installed by broken mailbox and did not charge me, and even picked up the materials for me.

Rob replaced over a dozen loose/rotting wood posts and installed a cedar fence around the perimeter of our beach house. He also custom made and painted a wood balcony on our third floor deck. Conclusion: Great quality, fairly priced and on time delivery. Would highly recommend.

Rob did an amazing job fixing the cracks in the foundation wall and floor. He opened up the cracks to have a clean access and injected the epoxy material to fix the crack. It took him 3-4 days to get all the 5 cracks filled and clean up. I would hire Rob again for other jobs that requires major fixing within the house. Just a heads up (and this is no fault of Rob), but be prepared to have tons of dust fly around since the concrete foundation has to be shaved open to apply the epoxy. Cover up all open areas air tight if you can, especially around the heating / air conditioning unit. I'm sure there are better ways to cover things up then what we did.

LOOK NO FURTHER!!! Better Home Improvements is where you want to go for any projects, large or small for your home. I was very pleased with theur service. I had a small project that required the removal and install of 2 interior doors, plus the reinstall of another. Rob responded to my inquiry right away. He arrived early to the appointment and provided me with what I discovered later after talking to a couple of people, a great price. What stood out working with Rob is the excellent customer service he provided. I work in a client-service environment in the financial industry and customer service is very important to me. He thoroughly explained the work required and provided me with a timeline for completion. This was not my primary residence, and I could not be on site while Rob was going to perform the work. Therefore, I left my keys for him to come and go as he pleased. He provided me with an update every day he worked on the doors and even provided pictures for me of his progress. The end result was fabulous. You can tell he takes pride in his work. I highly recommend him and will definitely use him on future projects. Thanks again Rob!

Mr. O'Keeffe was hired to do multiple projects in our condo, which we reviewed with him on Day 1, he presented an offer for his work, we accepted, and he started the next day. He did thorough and detailed work making sure we were in agreement with all activity during the process. Great communication as everything could not be completed in a few days. We are so happy with new garage shelving, with repair of holes in garage walls, shelving in kitchen cabinet under cooktop, and with mounting of mirrors and paintings in addition to other smaller caulking jobs. Rob is a perfectionist and took the time to do everything right. Would highly recommend him to others and will be using his services for future projects.

Rob was the first one to respond out of five offers. He was the last one that had to because I knew I had the right person for the job. The job was started earlier than anticipated he took photos of his progress and forwarded them to me and the job was completed way ahead of schedule.
