Terrible. The designer was a cheat. She added in 6 feet of patio that we didn't agree upon. She also didn't realize we'd need a small retaining wall, which added over $2,000 to the job midway. The workers stopped showing up for five months, leaving our yard in total disarray. Tarps, pavers, gravel everywhere. Then when they finally finished and did leave, they left tons of gravel throughout our yard that we had to pick out by hand. Just AWFUL.

We had serious issues with the project we hired them to perform, JUST SOME of which include the following: 1) The photos the designer showed us to consider when deciding to build patio on the area under the deck (ostensibly to create an entertainment space) didn’t show the middle posts, necessary for the deck design. Unfortunately we can't fit entertaining furniture under there at all. We spoke to the deck contractors about it but they said the designer did not mention creating that entertainment space. So that's a lot of patio square footage we didn't actually need and we agreed to based on photos that weren’t representative of our situation. Owner said in no uncertain terms that she wanted to minimize patio and was talked into this design because designer said we could entertain under there. Absolutely not possible. 2) Owner specifically asked designer whether or not a retaining wall would be needed before signing the contract. Owner based the size of the patio on a strict budget, and were assured a retaining wall would NOT be needed. Then AFTER the job was already started, i.e. the base laid and backyard completely chewed up, you decided a wall was necessary. It’s not like this was a complicated design job. We don't think we should have to pay for this wall. We would have walked away from the whole proposal had it been accurate from the start because of the additional cost of the wall and ADDITIONAL LOSS OF YARD, another miscalculation by your designer and a huge concern. 3) The designer gave the WRONG deck design to the deck builders. The design was intercepted literally on the last day possible to make the change by chance alone. 4) Four months went by with a road through our yard, a huge dirt pile, and trash all over our yard and no work being done. Owners have several dated photos throughout this time period. Our neighbors were very angry. We called many times to ask you to come clean up and leave things tidy until restarting work, and we were ignored. Kids were hurt sledding into huge piles of rocks left on site. 5) Homeowner had to set part of the patio because the Yard Group failed to meet the deadline agreed to with the deck contractors for the building of the staircase. Owners also have photo documentation of this work and testimony from the deck contractors.
