Link Mechanical installed a $20,000 heating system almost ten years ago. Carrier is now refusing to honor the 10-year warranty because Link failed to register their install of the system. Link refuses to do anything to make this right, saying that I should have registered the system when their salesperson, John, told me it was taken care of. I have also been told by multiple HVAC companies that the “perfect” system I was sold is too small for my house and not right for the climate we live in. I would not recommend spending a lot of money with this company when they will not stand behind their work or word.

I thought they were a little expensive, but in 14 years we haven't had a thing done to it. We had coolant put into it and coolant is a little expensive. It is worth getting someone who knows what they are doing. He explained everything to me, step by step he told me what he was doing. It is still running beautifully. He was very very good. He called and asked if he could come early. I would call them back.

I had a bunch of young adults in the house who needed showers.? The whole company - all of their workers - are extremely courteous, they're extremely clean, they're extremely prompt, and they're very helpful in how to problem-solve things economically.? I couldn't say enough about that company.? They're really good.? The work was perfect and I got a shower by the afternoon.? My husband's as cheap as they come so they must be pretty good on price because I'm sure he checked them.

They're just very courteous, clean, punctual, and they problem-solve things that they didn't anticipate, like big time. They got the job done.? To replace the old HVAC they had to remove an asbestos wrapped old oil burner and they arranged to have the oil taken out from underground, so it was weeks for the work to be completed.? It was weeks because of all those things.? It took a long time to get that asbestos furnace out of there; it was original to the house, 1927.?

Mike came out and discussed my options and provided a rough estimate on the spot. He explained how many return vents I should have and how to calculate the sizing for ductwork to supply heat to a room. He explained when he'd be able to get back to me with a more formal estimate. He had some great suggestions. Link's commitment to doing things the right way with no shortcuts is commendable. Using all new sheet metal makes it much easier to guarantee their work and provides for the most efficient and balanced heating system as possible.

called for service 7/15/2015. appointment was scheduled for 7/20/2015. Contact was very polite and professional. She called on 7/17/2015 and said tech was in the area and could come that day. I agreed. The tech (Mike) was very polite and knowledgeable. He diagnosed the problem and ordered an original equipment motor. He picked it up and returned within the hour. He installed the motor in a very neat and professional maner. and tested the unit to make sure it worked (it did).He then checked the air flow and the refrigerant level. My AC had never been serviced in 17 years over and above changing the filters and cleaning the pump and the drain lines. He then cleaned the very dirty compressor fins and checked the capacitor. I was extremely pleased with the tech's work and politeness. I would not hesitate to use Link again and would recommend them to anyone.

I like Link but I carry all this service contract on my furnace with my company. I bought my furnace from Link and three months after I bought it, all the computer brains and my furnace were destroyed and has to be replaced. I would not use them again in the future.

There pricing is very reasonable. They are very easy to talk to with the details of the job. They do what needs to be done. I don't have to worry about them up selling on things we don't need.

I took about 40 minutes and was carefully done. They used booties to cover their shoes, cleaned up every thing and replaced my furnace filter with a washable variety.

They are coming this week. I've used them for over 20 years, they are fabulous. They are responsive, they've installed 2 complete AC systems in 2 different homes. Their price is fair, their work is excellent and they are timely. They have great technicians and I just think they are amazing.

They were very good about setting up appointments and giving us all of the available options (at first we were looking into Central Air but determined Ductless was more affordable and energy-efficient). We got quotes from 4 or 5 different heating and cooling companies. Link Mechanical was right in the middle. Perhaps what attracted me to them most was their knowledge of the systems and what was really needed to efficiently cool the house down. Other companies were suggesting far more powerful cooling systems, which, as I've learned now being in my comfortably cooled home, were not necessary and would have been more expensive.I don't understand the other customer's experience with communication. They were always getting back to me within hours of leaving a message or voicemail.

Very responsive when providing quotes for various options, described benefits of each etc. After installation a couple of issues surfaced. The complany came back several times but they were *not* aggressive in trying to fix them. The problems were eventually fixed, not without tremendous frustration for us (repeated visits, half-baked reasons why things were happening). I like their product, we'll see how ongong customer service improves.

We've had a mildew problem in our bathroom even with a ceiling fan, and upon further inspection, found that our fan vented into the insulation in our attic rather than to the outdoors. We also wanted a stronger (and quieter) fan in there. We called Link based on Angie's List reviews, and the representative came to our home very quickly to inspect and went up to the crawl space. He said he'd call us with an estimate. We told him that we had guests coming about 2 weeks later and needed it done by then so they could use the shower in that bathroom, and he said that wouldn't be a problem. Link said that they might need to bring in an electrician for the electrical work, and my husband said that if that was the case, and if that would make the installation more complicated or expensive, my husband would do the electrical work. When we said that we were going to buy a new fan -- one that's more powerful and quieter -- he told us to let them know when we picked out the fan we want because, if available, they could order it and maybe save us some money. Nearly a week later, when we hadn't heard from Link, I called them and left a message, but they didn't return my call. At this point, we decided we couldn't wait for Link to order a fan for us, so I ordered it myself. About 3 days later, we got a phone message from an independent electrician saying that Link had asked him to call us. We called Link again to find out what the story was -- this time my husband called and Link returned his call. Link said he was surprised the electrician hadn't explained to us that Link couldn't do the work because they don't have an electrician on staff, so Link had the electrician they use call us, and besides, Link said, the electrician could probably give us a better price than Link could. We called the electrician back and learned he couldn't come for at least 2 weeks, and we had guests arriving within a few days. We called Link back and my husband repeated that he would do the electrical work, but we needed the vent installed and the work done to make the hole in the ceiling larger. and the fan installed. We made it clear how unhappy we were with Link's service, Link then told us that they could arranged to have two guys come out and do it right away, but it would cost us $583 to install our fan. That's seems very expensive for that work, especially without electrical. But we were stuck and said okay. The work that the Link people did was very good, but it was an expensive and unnecessarily stressful experience for us.

Service team came quickly. Inspected the air handler and identified problem. Condensation problem solved. Because of current tax credits and utility credits, I wanted to investigate whether this was the year to replace one or more units. I made an appointment to meet with John Link. John took the time to understand our current system and our needs. He provided recommendations for new systems that would reduce fuel cost and increase efficiency. He properly explained the current tax credits and utility credits available. He provided the information without trying to "over sell" the case for new units. Link Mechanical provide fair quotes and good practical advice in an honest professional manner. It was appreciated - It was also good business. The economics did not support replacing our system this year. Whether its a new AC unit or just annual maintenance, Link will be our first call from now on.

I didn't use them. The cost was about twice what I was expecting.

They worked very hard to satisfy us. They had a couple of tricky spots in terms of getting to retrofit the A/C in an existing house. There was one particular place where they had to snake some ductwork and that was challenging. They initially had used the area under a cabinet as part of the ductwork that wasn't fully sealed. They fixed that and did a very nice job with that. They also had to snake ductwork up to a laundry chute and they did a very good job with that. The job took way longer than anticipated. It was supposed to be one week but it took two and a half weeks. There were issues afterwards but they came back and fixed them. They were very willing to work with us. There was one point where the sales person was very unprofessional. We ran into a bit of conflict with respect to that one tricky duct and he ended up not being part of the job after that. He was very good before that. Overall we are very happy with the system. It was also the fact that they came back and fixed some things and they seemed very open to doing that. One of the reasons I chose them was because of what I read about them on Angie's List. There were some bumps on the road with them which is perhaps expected when you work with contractors. Everyone else was very good, except for that one person who had an outburst.

I was expecting a major repair bill and was pleasantly surprised that all it cost me was a service call. He even waived a "day of" kind of rush fee that would have resulted in a higher service fee as they came out on the same day that I called. He found the problem and corrected it. I was pleased.

The service was quick, efficient, reasonably priced, and fixed the problem with no fuss plus taught me something about how my heating service works. Great!

I cannot praise Link highly enough. John, the salesman/owner, who first came to the house to give us estimates, carefully calculated what we would need and was responsive to our concerns. He ultimately gave us a range of six different options, based on different levels of energy efficiency and price. Kevin and Jason, who did all of the installation work, were professional and extremely knowledgeable. I had total confidence in their ability to do this difficult and complex job correctly. They were also courteous, friendly and a pleasure to have around. Every time I call the office, the assistants there are genuinely helpful and courteous. Everyone who ever came to our house showed up promptly at the appointed time. This is a top-notch operation and I am extremely happy to have used them.

They were just absolutely wonderful. I have not one single complaint. They were also very reasonably priced. They did what they were supposed to do and they did it the way they were supposed to do it. Everything is fine and I am very pleased with them.

I saw this company on the list and their rates seemed reasonable. I made an early morning appointment with John and he was extremely late because of traffic (obviously he had not allowed any extra time for that). He seemed thorough when making the measurements and writing up the report. However, a week later I still had not received the estimate so I called him and was given his voice mail and asked him to send it to me. He never called me back and now yet another week has elapsed and I have yet to receive the estimate. Obviously I chose another company to do the work!

I FOUND THEM IN THE PHONEBOOK, AND THEY WERE THE CHEAPEST COMPANY AROUND. I HAVE HAD NO TROUBLE WITH IT. THEY DID A GOOD JOB. EVERYTHING WORKS FINE. THEY SHOWED UP AND DID THEIR WORK AT THE TIME THEY WERE SUPPOSED TO.

THEY DID GOOD FOR WHAT THEY HAD TO WORK WITH. IT WAS KIND OF DIFFICULT BECAUSE THE PEOPLE THAT INSTALLED OUR FURNACE DID A BAD JOB, AND ALL THE HOSES WERE TANGLED. LINK SERVICES DID AS GOOD OF A JOB AS WE COULD ASK FOR.
