They gave me a lot of excuses but didn't offer me any solutions. They told me they gave me the guy that just started. It didn't instill confidence in their competence.

On 10/4 2013 I received an invoice from Bug Busters, Inc. Naugatuck, CT. I did not recognize this company. I noticed that the bill was dated 06/13/2011 so I immediately called them assuming this must be a mistake. A women answered the phone. I asked her if she could send me a copy with my signature where I had agreed to have them spray my property for ants. She said she did not have anything. I asked her to send me copies of invoices that she sent to me over the past two years which she is claiming I never paid. She said they NEVER sent out invoices. She said they would have dropped one invoice off at my door step but that was it. Then she proceeded to tell me that the lady who had the job before her never knew how to send out invoices and this poor man is now going out of business. She said my bill that was over two years old is nothing, They have bills even older than mine. She also told me that if I would sign up and use them again they would waive this bill. So I either pay them $277.42 for services they never performed or pay them the same amount to spray my property and they would forget about this other invoice. Either way they are forcing me to pay them money when I have no interest in using their company. Also, when I checked them out online they claim to have been in business for 35 years and this lady is telling me that they do not know how to invoice customers. That is very hard to believe. I had no knowledge of ever using this company in the first place and she could not show me that I had in fact signed for them to spray my property and now the only way to get out of this charge of $277.42 which I received 10/4/2013 for services they CLAIM were performed on 6/3/2011 was to give them permission to come out and spray my property. Since I told her that not only did I not have any recall of using them back in 06/2011 and I know for a fact they never sent me any invoices until 10/4/2013, I would have no interest in using a company like this. She then threaten to hurt my credit if I did not pay the bill for services they claimed were performed back in 2011. She was good to her word and she sent this invoice from 2011 to a collection agency called Collect Associates at 392 River Road Shelton, CT 06484. I am now in the process of taking my personal time to try to resolve this and I have very good credit and always pay my bills on time and have never been in this situation before. I would stay away from this business. You may get a bill 5 years from now for services they can't prove was ever performed or what would keep them from inflating their bill. It is their word against yours and it is not worth it for a $300 bill. There are many companies out there that spray properties for Ants. Save yourself the headache of what I am going through and select another company. I hope Angie's publishes my complaint because I would hate to see anyone go through what I am going through and from what this lady told me on the phone, there were many people they did this to and you could only imagine how many that was that they would go through the trouble of hiring a collection agency for a $277.42 bill. Do not hire them. Don't even call them for an estimate. You do not want them to have any of your personal information or you may end up years down the road getting a bill like I did. I hope by taking the time to write this, I prevent someone else from being taken advantage of like I was.

Came when scheduled. Only sent one person with another possible showing up but did not come. She did a good job and worked the entire day

The price varies depending on the services required. When you live in an area with lots trees, sometimes bugs and critters want to come into your home. Bug Busters are very responsive, and friendly. They are a nice group of people. I have known Charlie for many years, and I have recommended him to many of my friends.

The ground bees build individual nests in the dirt so that a thousand bees means a thousand holes in the ground. Each hole has to be sprayed and injected with a powder to kill the nest below.

We started to see carpenter ants in the kitchen and store-bought traps were not effective. Saw good reviews for Bug Busters and called them. Very easy to set up appointment; they confirmed day of visit; and even called me when they were en route so I could meet them at home. Work itself took over an hour (longer than they estimated), but was due to their thorough work and willingness to explain what they were doing. After initial visit, some ants still appeared, and Bug Busters was happy to come back for a follow up (as they had promised). Will likely use them again.

I was informed this company provides free estimates. When I called the company, they asked for the size of my home. When I provided that information, they told me the cost would be $225.

This experience was a disaster because within two days, the squirrels just chewed a new second hole on the opposite side of the house so that they would have a new access point. I know it was a new hole because I was having my house painted and the second hole was chewed through newly painted wood so I could tell. I called back Bug Busters and they said they would come out and look at it, but their only solution was to install a second door over the new hole. I said I didn't think that would do anything except prompt the squirrels to chew a new hole. The worker shrugged his shoulders and said, "Well, they are wild animals..." I called two other companies (Yale Pest Control and Anderson) and they had the exact same solution to my problem and that is to live trap these animals and then they are taken away M-F until all the squirrel noises are gone from within the wall. At that point, they close up the hole that is their entry point and give you a one-year guarantee that the hole will not be re-opened by the squirrels. This service of daily visits to empty the traps and closing the two holes and the guarantee cost me a total of $500 plus tax. I am so disgusted that I trusted that Bug Busters knew what they were doing when clearly they did not.

Needed treatment as part of condition for selling house following inspection. Bug Busters answered phone right away, scheduled the work promptly, offered a 6 month guarantee. Very pleased.

I asked about termite control and they said it wasn't the time of year and I may not needed it given our elevation. I think they were an honest and credible company. They explained their products to us in case we needed something in the future. The price was fair and I would use them again.

Bug Busters sent out an exterminator who was very professional and knowledgeable. He collected around 25 wasp nests and destroyed them. He gave us good advice about screening certain areas to prevent the wasps coming back. The problem at this point has been taken care of. Bug Busters has told us thatshould there be a recurrence then they will come back out and re-treat.

I DON'T HAVE ANY PROBLEMS WITH ANTS ANYMORE. IT ONLY TOOK THIS COMPANY TWO HOURS TO COMPLETE A QUALITY JOB. THE SPRAY WASN'T TOO STRONG AND I WILL TRY THEM AGAIN IF I EVER NEED THEM IN THE FUTURE.

WE LIKE HOW POLITE THEY ARE WHEN THEY COME OUT. ONCE THEY ARRIVE THEY START WORKING IMMEDIATELY. I WAS HERE WHEN THEY CAME LAST WEEK AND THE SPRAY DID NOT MAKE ME SICK. WE DO NOT HAVE AN ANT PROBLEM ANYMORE.
