Always available by phone, and offers clear and frequent communication during the project. Cannot recommend highly enough - everyone on staff, from CEO to contractors, are a joy to work with. Quality, value, and superior work - would hire again at every opportunity.

+ 0 moreWe had a horrible sewer back up that completely destroyed our finished basement. Advanced Improvements did a superior restoration that far exceeded my expectations in every way. Advanced Improvements worked with the insurance company, the adjuster, and provided fine craftsmanship at a reasonable cost. Thanks to David , Altin and his great crew for giving us back a wonderful first class family room.

Description of Work: "They are currently working on our house, fixing a mess that one contractor did to our house, and finishing what another contractor was supposed to finish and didn't (an Angie's list provider who was paid but skipped without doing the work---JBH Construction). | |They started immediately. They have showed up every day. They have worked full days when it was sunny, and worked in the rain for partial days in rain coats. They have been quiet and respectful. They have had a project manager reviewing the work on site every day and checking in with us every day to make sure there are no problems. They have done more in a week and 1/2 than the 2nd contractor did in the entire 5 months he had the job. They have sealed up all the holes in the fascia and soffets left open by the previous contractors, and currently finishing the siding that was not completed by either contractor and redoing the entire deck that was installed improperly and not to code by the 1st contractor....all within the 1st 1 1/2 weeks. So far, I have absolutely no complaints!"

Description of Work: Came to my home to do an estimate of siding and porch addition. Was punctual and friendly. After that, never heard from the guy. Made NUMEROUS calls, and turned out that he had lost my information. Then acted like he didn't want to be bothered-- too busy for me. Gave me an off the top of his head "guesstimate" that didn't even include the porch addition. I waited 3 months to get this-- dropped them then. Don't use them!!

Budget & timeline discussed, he was very friendly and professional, and promised to work on our quote the next week. I received a postcard in the mail about a week later, saying that he was getting ready to work on our quote. We never heard anything after that, and now assume they didn't want the job. Disappointing experience for such a highly rated company. If I have to chase after you to get a quote or explanation, I don't trust you to do the job.

+ 0 more** REVIEW BASED ON ESTIMATE PROCESS ** NO WORK PERFORMED ** The contractor canceled our scheduled follow up, and never followed up for a reschedule. Weeks went by. When I followed up asking for a reschedule, he was unable to accommodate my calendar. When I asked that he forward a cost estimate for labor, he complied ... several weeks later. I was astounded by the cost. I have owned multiple homes and had multiple levels and grades of remodeling work performed. His estimate was ASTRONOMICAL. Professionalism in all pre-contract work was sub-par, cost was shamefully high.
Description of Work: Representative came to my home to take measurements and supply an estimate for desired service. We chatted about desired project outcomes, he measured, we discussed design aesthetics. I live in a historic home but the remodeling work to be done is located in a modern (2010) addition.

+ -1 moreRick was very responsive in dealing with this leak problem. I called him on a Sunday expecting to have to wait until Monday to speak with a real person. I was wrong. He called me back right away and came out that day to assess the leak and source. He came out in the next couple of days w/ a roofer to fully examine the roof and damage. They found that the previous roofing company had not done the job properly. Advanced had the leak fixed quickly and thoroughly. They did an excellent job.

+ -1 moreThe job ran over quite a bit, time-wise, but in the end everything was done that needed to be done. If you bring something to their attention, they will address it promptly.
Description of Work: Made our first floor bathroom larger. Project was started on 10/7/13 with a 15 day completion time frame on the contract. December 24, 2013 the job was finally finished. Patrick will promise you the Sun, the Moon, & the Stars when he does the estimate, but he has nothing to do with the job itself. So unless it's in writing, if Patrick said this or that would be done, forget about it. He's out of the picture. They have way too many projects going at once and it's easy for your project to fall through the cracks. Chris was extremely helpful in getting things done when we called. Update: Advanced is now balancing the workload more evenly, giving the foremen less jobs to oversee at one time. Their communication is now much better too. This is a very smart move. To their credit, they have been very prompt in addressing any issues arising from the projects done. Rick even came out on a rainy Sunday to look at a leak on one of our/their finished projects. They were prompt in fixing the problem.

+ -1 moreThe quality of the work was exceptional! Schedule adherence was poor when the four week job stretched to nine weeks, caused by some delays in delivery of custom cabinets and other materials. My biggest complaint was communication with the project manager. I've have had several remodeling projects done over the years and I know that schedule challenges are going to happen. Communicating daily project status and updated timelines is what I expect for the price paid, and it just didn't happen in this case. I communicated all of this to the company, and they told me that they are trying to remedy this. If they can work it out so that the project manager takes my call and keeps me up to date, I would use them again.
Description of Work: Convert a half bath and laundry room into a full bath. Relocate the laundry room.

+ 6 moreThis company was extremely professional. The whole work crew was courteous, pleasant and their work was excellent! They were polite, neat and orderly. They came at the same time each morning and started right in on the job and left at the same time each day. An owner stopped by during the day to check on the work and to let me know what would be happening as the job progress. Their was also a supervisor on the job. I was pleased that whenever I had a question I was answered professionally. The work was completed at the stated time. I enjoyed having this company work for us and we are extremely happy with the results.

Description of Work: Advanced put an addition on my home, re-roofed the house and renovated my bathroom. I must say their level of customer service was beyond anything that I could have ever imagined. They walked my wife and I through the whole process and everything came out perfectly. Their price may have been a little higher than the other bids that we received but it was worth it in the end! My family is so blessed to have such great work on our home.

+ 1 moreOverall the quality of work was good. Couple projects were completed incompletely. All windows in the home were replaced. I asked specifically for insulation to be filled in around the windows. I knew the old pockets where the weights had been would need filling. I was assured that it would be taken care of. When I had to pull some trip for another project I found the pockets empty. When I called the owner on this he said he would check and then never called back.The rest of the work was done reletively well but I feel that the company knew I would have to pull apart the work to check this issue, so they cheated me. I prefer to work with people that I can trust to do what they promise.
Description of Work: Windows replaced, couple ceilings repaired, bathroom redo, sill replaced, kitchen counter replaced.
