Description of Work: I have an old house with multiple layers of shingles. They tore them off, layed down a plywood base, reflashed the chimney, applied metal roofing along the edge of the roof and finished off the rest with asphalt shingles. They also replaced a gutter. They took 1 1/2 days and did a very good job cleaning up.

Description of Work: Re-roofed two roofs..the Main House (1801) and the El (1780) The main house was simply a roof over and repair the flashing if necessary. The El was more complicated. The old shingles had to be removed. They were over 230 yr old boards which were laid down but not butting up to each other. OSB ply was necessary to do the job properly and legally. They worked hard and made all kinds of adjustments to get it done correctly. They put in the flashing well and boots around vents etc. They even painted places so it would look better. The two things that I can complain about: they did not tell me to cover the two spaces under the old roof. It was a huge mess...I cleaned constantly as it was too late to cover things. I am still cleaning. Secondly the crew finished late in the day and it was dark so no matter how much they thought they picked up they were not thorough. They should have come back the next day to clean up the outside better. The boss did come the following day for his check and saw immediately that it needed better cleaning of the debris. He was very easy to work and he genuinely was disturbed that the workers did not do as well in this part. I would recommend him. However over time there were flaws…each time they came promptly to repair them….twice, three times. The crew is hardworking and determined to get it right. This was a complicated job so I give them a little slack.

 + 3 moreWe hired L&L Contruction to replace our roof. They were one of three companies that I got quotes from. All of the prices were very close to one another and I chose L&L. I am so happy that I did! Luc Cotnoir, the owner, managed to switch around some of his upcoming roofing jobs and he squeezed us into his schedule before hurricane Irene hit Connecticut. We were already leaking from the ice dams of the previous Winter. He completed the work and even got the new gutters on the house two days before the storm hit. Luc's crew were efficient and hard working and he was frequently on-site supervising or doing some of the detailed work himself. He was very patient with me when I was choosing colors and brought me full size samples of some of the colors that I was considering. Luc came back after his crew had cleaned up and made sure that everything had been cleaned up good. The roof looks great and when we need to replace the siding on the house this is the company that I will call. I really can't say enough good things about the job that these guy did and I would recommend them to anyone.
Description of Work: L&L Contruction was hired to replace my leaking roof. They removed all of my existing roofing shingles, installed new metal edging, Ice and Water backing in various places, put on new shingles, flashed where necessary, put on new leaders and gutters, provided a dumpster and cleaned up all of the construction debris. It took them five days from start to finish.
