I like the design, but the plants and labor were expensive. They allege they have better quality, but even with watering 2x/week, there is some dead growth. One week after they finished, weeds started popping up through mulch. When I called the designer said I should have told him before he put in final invoice. Well, I reminded him that they were not showing when final invoice was put in. I asked for some credit due to the fact that I paid them to weed and mulch and I find myself doing it a short time after. His solution was to come over and spray them, which I do not want. I am not satisfied with how the responded to this complaint. Otherwise, they were timely and quick. Perhaps too quick which is why weeds grew back so soon! I might hire them again if they resolve my concern to my satisfaction.
Description of Work: Design and install of 4 beds. Spring clean up and mulch of those and 3 additional beds.

Unfortunately, once we started construction on the project, our contractor quickly realized that the drawings were NOT accurate, they were off by several feet!! After numerous phone calls (some of which were not returned by Twombly), we finally got them to admit that some of the measurements, including the amount of drop in our land, were "eyeballed" instead of accurately measured. This resulted in delays in our project as we scrambled to rework the design to account for the differences. Based on these major mistakes, we decided not to use Twombly for our plant landscaping; trees, shrubs, annuals, etc as we had originally planned. This was a $200K project which would have turned into a total mess had we not been using a very experienced contractor who figured out how to fix Twombly's mistakes.
Description of Work: We hired Twombly as our landscape architect to draw plans for a large, multi-level stone patio in our back yard. We believed they were taking precise measurements during the land survey process so that the design plans would be accurate for our contractor. I had very specific ideas of the design I wanted. Unfortunately, Twombly did not pay close attention to our desires and the initial draft plans had to be redone several times.

EVERYTHING WAS GOOD. THE PRICE WAS A LITTLE HIGH, BUT OTHER THAN THAT EVERYTHING WAS AN A. THE ATTITUDE WAS GOOD. THEY WERE VERY COOPERATIVE. THEY WERE VERY PROFESSIONAL AND HAD A BLUEPRINT BEFORE THEY STARTED, SO I WAS VERY HAPPY WITH THAT.
Description of Work: THEY PUT IN SOME TOPSOIL BECAUSE I HAVE AN ACRE OF LAND. THEY HAD TO BRING A LOT. THEY REMOVED THE PLANTS AROUND THE HOUSE AND PUT IN ALL NEW ONES. THEY PUT IN TREES AND PLANTED SEEDS AND BUSHES ALL AROUND THE HOUSE. I HAVE A NINE ROOM HOUSE SO THERE WAS A LOT OF LAND TO PLANT ON.
