Jean has been cleaning our house for a couple months now and she is amazing! From wiping the blinds and ceiling fans, to washing the floors for us, there is no better feeling than coming home after work and walking into a freshly cleaned house. Jean and her partner did a very good job at a reasonable price. They did some things without me asking. They had high standards. The products they used were very efficient and effective. I could trust them.

I was extremely happy with the services provided by Jean and her team. I would often leave my apartment scattered with a mess of clothes, dishes, papers, etc., and would come back to a tidy, welcoming apartment with a delicious, clean smell. I always felt that she treated my home with a lot of care and I could trust her and her team. The kitchen/bathrooms/floor were all very well cleaned, and although I initially was concerned that she might not get the floors clean enough with natural cleaning products, everything ended up being perfectly clean and not smelling of harsh chemicals. I have since moved from Connecticut, and wished I could find a cleaning service as good and reliable as this one!

She was punctual. Did a good job cleaning the house.

This is as close as it gets to getting three wishes from the magic lamp. Jean and her crew listened to what my wife and I wanted and got to work. They did everything we asked for, quietly, quickly and with a smile, and they did everything we would have asked for, had we thought to ask. You could put our house on TV now. She cleaned so well I was frankly, very surprised as no other cleaning service ever cleaned my house like she did. can't wait to have her on a monthly basis!

Jean and her team are hardworking, thorough and efficient. They have been very reliable and easy to work with, as well as getting along well with our Boston Terrier puppy. They have cleaned both when I am working at home and when I am away - the quality has always been excellent. If I need to make special requests, they are very flexible, but I also appreciate it that they usually get everything right the first time and anticipate what's needed. I have asked Jean for tips on problems unique to older homes and have been very pleased with the information she provided.

I HAD CALLED JEAN A COUPLE OF WEEKS AGO AFTER HAVING COMPLETED RENOVATIONS IN MY HOME. SO INSTEAD OF JUST CLEANING UP FROM CONSTRUCTION, IT TURNED INTO A MAJOR SPRING CLEANING!! I HAD NEVER HIRED A CLEANING SERVICE BEFORE, SO I WAS A LITTLE APPREHENSIVE.. WELL JEAN AND HER TEAM (ANGELA AND CHAZ) WERE WONDERFUL. THEY WORKED ALL DAY AND MADE IT LOOK SPARKLING WHEN THEY LEFT. THEY DEFINITELY EARNED THEIR PAY.. AND I WOULD RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE. THANK YOU LADIES..

All I can say is that I would recommend Clean Hearth and Home to anyone within their service area. Jean (the owner) was completely punctual and responsive to my initial inquiry about services. While as anyone I would like the price to be a little lower, it's competitive for the area. The group does a very nice job and the wife is very happy - can't go wrong there! The house is clean and smells wonderful. The group is usually on time and communicates very well.

When I contacted Jean to come to our home for an estimate, she was most accommodating. We agreed upon a date, and she was very prompt. On the spot, we had a good feeling about her. She explained everything in detail - how they worked & the cleaners they used, even the type of vacuum cleaner they used. Jean answered every question we had. We immediately decided we wanted her services. We picked a date & again, Jean and her staff were very prompt. To say they did an excellent job would be an understatement. Our house had not been thoroughly cleaned in a very long time. Jean & her staff cleaned things that we never even thought to clean. Everything was dazzling. My husband was unsure when I originally mentioned hiring someone to clean our home (he is also very critical), but after Jean & her staff were done, he & I were most definitely in awe of the job they had done. We give Jean & her staff the highest recommendation. My husband joked not to give too good of a recommendation, or they won't be available anymore!

They did a fantastic job! With two toddlers and a puppy (and two parents who cannot claim house cleaning as a strength within their skill set), the house was in sad shape! Jean and her associate cleaned it top to bottom and it looks fantastic! Jean came for a walk through prior to the cleaning and discussed types of cleaners they would use and was open to any special requests. She was very flexible with my somewhat challenging schedule. She and her associate were professional, punctual, and cheerful. We will be having them back to clean our house every other week from here forward!!

My first phone call was immediately returned and my overall communication with Jean Tom was delightful. She managed to work with me to make our schedules come together and to do the first home cleaning before my children got out of school which was wonderful and important to me so that I could enjoy at least a couple of days being in a clean home. She was easy to talk to and came over to see my home and go over all that would and would not be performed in the cleaning. Jean was very punctual. We hit it off really well and shared a lot about our lives in general and even shared a lot of the same cleaning solutions. She did say that the large pieces of furniture would not be moved on a regular basis yet for the first cleaning most of the pieces of furniture would be moved; obviously not the armoires, dressers, china cabinets, boodcases, beds, but the smaller items would be moved and cleaning would be done behind and underneath. This was not to be the case when the first cleaning was performed. I have have first cleanings before by other companies and they cleaned everything the first time; silk plants, tops of cabinetry, doors; even the top edges of the door frames, all my knick-knacks; and I do have a lot of the 'stuff decor' in my home, the legs of all tables and chairs, ceiling fans, under my large throw carpets, silver polished, windows cleaned on the inside, window sills, inside all display cabinetry, etc.....Three team or four team groups for the first cleaning and they would stay for five hours. Jean and her crew left after 3 and a half hours and that would be okay if all had been done. But it was not. I am sorry to have had this experience and did feel it in the best interests of others using Angie's list to know about the details. I am honest, and this time, to a fault; as I feel badly, none-the-less that my optimisum and comfortable repoire with Jean of Clean Hearth and Home did not come to fruition. I really like her as a person.

Prior to hiring the company, Jean promptly responded to our telephone calls regarding the services they provide. After making the arrangements for our initial housecleaning, they arrived at the specific date and time promised. When my spouse showed them the home and told them what she wanted done, they went to work immediately. The kitchen cabinets were washed and polished, the appliances were cleaned, attention was given to the woodwork and the floors were dusted, vacuumed and washed where necessary. The bathrooms were sanitized and the fixtures were cleaned and shined and brought back to almost new condition. They both treated our home as if it was their own and provided excellent service, quality work, professionalism and care. When the work was completed, arrangements were made to have them come to our home on a regular basis.

Jean Tom and her crew have been cleaning my house for just about two years. The first time she came, I hadn't properly conveyed to her the size of the house, so we didn't schedule long enough to complete the cleaning to her satisfaction. As she and her crew were rushing to finish, I told her that what they had done was fine, and they could just finish the rest when they came back in a week. But Jean told me she hated to leave a house when something wasn't just as she would want it in her home. That has been my experience ever since; in everything I've seen, Jean has treated my home with the same care I would. I feel very fortunate to have found her, someone who is so clearly trustworthy, hardworking, and concerned with her clients satisfaction. That is a rare thing in any field, and it's critical, I think, when you are inviting someone to work in your home.

I called Mrs. Tom for a quote and heard back from her quickly. We arranged a date which was mutually agreeable and it was that easy! They were courteous, considerate, and did an excellent, thorough job for a very reasonable price. Would definitely use them again!

After the initial cleaning and a followup cleanings we noticed the place wasn't as clean as we expected. After moving small objects such as a stool we noticed the baseboards behind the stool were never vacuumed. I noticed a q tip on the floor behind the garbage can after a cleaning, and counters were wiped without moving the soap holder and other items. A friend of our had a similar experience as well.For the same amount we have received better service from others so we decided to discontinue the cleaning with this company.At an initial glance they appear to do a great job, but if you look closely it was mediocre at best.

We were able to text with Jean to arrange date/time, which was very convenient. She gave us an hour window for their arrival. They were right on time. Jean had 2 assistants with her today, and they finished the job in about 1-1/4 hours. They were professional and courteous. We were very pleased with the results, and we felt the price was very reasonable. We had tried a couple other services that did a less satisfactory job for more money. When Jean saw that our house was pretty clean to begin with when they came for the first time, she suggested that a monthly cleaning might be adequate, and that is what we did. I really appreciate tht she comes to our house and is supervising her employees (as well as working herself). Her philosophy is to miimize harsh chemicals, so the house doesn't end up smelling of Lysol, but it looks great. We will definitely continue using Clean Hearth and Home for regular cleanings.

Our initial meeting had to be rescheduled because they neglected to show up. Given a second chance Jean called me, a half hour late, stating she would be yet another twenty minutes before she would arrive. Then she came to my house over an hour late. Still I chose to accept her apology and she and Alex began to work.They were initially to start around 11:00, but arrived over an hour late.Jean had asked to bring all her own equipment and cleaning products all I had to supply, she said was paper towels, to which I agreed.We reviewed what and where needed to cleaning. We live in a three story home, of which she only had two stories to clean. The downstairs is a studio as well as a full basement apartment, not yet remodeled for occupancy.I informed her that my teenage son's room may be a the only challening part of the house due to his many bookshelves and collections.I then set off to run my errands, not wanting to be in the way, but left full payment of $300 as requested for the initial cleaning.I returned only once to put away the things I had picked up from the cleaners and did not stay long before heading out at 2:30 to pick up my son from school. Upon our return shortly thereafter, I was surprised to find Jean and Alex had already left. The house looked neat at first glance, but did not have that "just cleaned" smell. I thought it was the cleaning products that Jean used, which she described as "green". As I went about the house and inspected each room, which all had a different level of attention given when cleaned.The living room and the other rugs seemed to have been vacuumed well, but the hardwood floors were not glowing and still had some streaks as well as a spots of candle wax which they did not notice or remove in the master bedroom. The bathrooms had been cleaned well enough, as did the kitchen, but I clean those almost daily.Then there were rooms that seemed not to have been cleaned at all. The extra bedroom upstairs, my son's room or the laundry room on the main floor...showed no signs of having been dusted. This had been discussed more than once before the job was taken.Even after the disappointment of the first run, we decided to give Jean and Alex yet another chance and made an appointment for a visit in two weeks. Jean told me she would be out of town on the day, but assured me that Alex would call before the time we had agreed. Alex did not call and nobody showed up.Jean did call me at some point and apologized profusely for the "miss communication" and promised it would never happen again if given another chance. I chose not to call her back for another visit and had only given her as many chances because of her list of good reviews, which if I read the actual dates correctly, are few and far between.

I found Jean Tom on Angies List. After contacting Jean via email and by phone we set up a time for an estimate. I liked Jean's personality and professionalism so I set up a time with her and her team to do the actual cleaning prior to move in. Jean showed up on time, with a lot of energy and enthusiasm to start working. I liked her attitude because it shows she takes great pride in her work and she takes what she does seriously. I left them in the house alone to do what they had to do while I went to work and came back later in the evening after work to check on the end result. I was very impressed with the end result!! I am a VERY picky cleaner and it is very hard to satisfy me when it comes to cleaning, which is why I have always insisted on cleaning my house myself for so many years. Jean and her team did a great job! I think I was most impressed with the oven and the master bath shower. See the people that lived here prior to myself were not the cleanliness of all people. The oven was in bad shape and the master bath shower, well lets just say it was starting to turn green and I really thought it was a lost cause. The oven looked great!! and anyone who has cleaned an oven before knows it is not easy to scrub down an oven. As for the master bath shower, as I entered the master bathroom and turned to look into the shower I gasped as if something so shocking had just occurred. I kid you not, the green shower was SPARKLING!!! It looked brand new as if it had never been used before. I was in complete shock and knew at that point that I would definitely be calling Jean and her team back to clean on a bi-weekly basis once I actually moved in and got settled. I have been recommending her to everyone I know who is currently using one of the larger services, like Merry Maids or Maid Brigades and are unhappy with the service. If anyone is looking for someone who takes pride in their work and does a very thorough and fantastic job than Jean Tom is the person to call!
